These Rough Cut things are fantastic. Whoever's idea this was should be applauded. They've made me care about The James Gang. The James Gang. "If I saw Brian right now, I'd punch him in the face. When he woke up I'd kick him in the face."
-
It'll still be good (The Knockouts match) I like that they aren't blowing it all off yet...because Kong would have to lose the title...and there's still a lot of gas in that tank.
-
LAX vs RNR vs MMG would be really good. Two kick ass tag teams...and the heel team for them to beat up on. That could be fun.
-
So...theres a ppv next weekend...and we've got LAX, MCMG, Rellik/Reign, Kaz/Young and Hoyt/Rave all doing whatever they're doing... what is this leading to?

It took me a minute to figure out what about that poster would give you the impression that Joe was winning the title...and then I remembered that he'll retire if he doesn't win. As for the 4 way...I think they just like to throw random people on their posters. The MCMG were on the Destination X poster...

That's what I've liked about TNA lately. They've decided to build those top 2 matches well (especially Joe/Angle) and my excitement for Lockdown is really high. Most I've looked forward to a ppv since Bound For Glory...and even that time it was just to see Angle/Sting and Joe/Christian...nothing really to do with the build for it.
-
It's taped this week. It'll be interesting to see if the show's pacing is different from last week when it was actually decent...
-
I could give it a try. I have a useless encyclopedia-esque knowledge of their product that isn't doing me any good in my real life.
-
I like the profile thread idea.

They aren't as bad on ppv as they are with TV. I don't really have a problem with the way they call the matches themselves (compared to listening to Cole and Coach do their best to try and ruin a great Taker/Edge Mania main event)... It's when they won't shut the fuck up during interview segments that drives me insane. That's something that JR is really good at. Letting the moments matter. Sometimes TNA will do a good beatdown segment, or Christian or Joe will be cutting a good promo...and all I hear is Tenay repeating everything that was just said a moment earlier...and West screaming.

I think it's because they never really bothered to tell us the rules of the cases. First they dragged it out forever until Daniels got fired with Senshi's breifcase...then Steiner got Pete's briefcase too...and the only person how used one was BG who lost. How long are they good for? If you can cash them in at anytime...why wouldn't everyone use them after the champion just had a hard match (ala Edge)? I didn't realize they could cash them in whenever they wanted to until BG did it...and I watch every week.

I didn't go to work today...so I can actually watch Impact when it airs for the first time ever. Hooray!

I've always kinda wanted to see Sting vs. Taker.

- Early projections are that TNA will be "significantly profitable" in 2008. TNA has many revenue streams coming in, including rights fees for Impact, the increase in demand for their talent, the upcoming Midway Video Game, overseas TV rights sales and house shows. With these taken into consideration TNA is expected to turn the corner financially, even with their PPV buy rates being lower than they were. - Panda Energy has not had to put any money into the promotion for over a year, which means that TNA has actually become a self-sufficient company. The feeling is that the company either broke even or made a small profit in 2007. - Jeff Jarrett wants to take the TNA product in a more serious direction, ala the Angle vs. Joe build. Jarrett wants more in ring time and the serious edge, while Vince Russo likes doing more pre-tapes and promos, and adding cute lines to them. Dutch Mantell wants what ever Jeff Jarrett wants. - The World X-Cup is set for May, but nothing official has been announced for a Team Mexico or Japan yet. Credit: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

I saw a chart once that said that Halo 2 sold more in one night than any game, or movie had made in a weekend. I don't know if that still holds up though.

I think I'm going to get Uncharted because it looks cool. I do think that there is something to be said about the fact that I got a PS2 on launch (which wasn't easy...I had to drive very far for it) and I only got a PS3 because I wanted a movie player. I'm willing to give it a shot...because I own it now...but I kinda feel like the 360 is my game machine...and the PS3 is my DVD player

I don't have 10. I can only get to 4 without thinking and debating... Talking Heads, Johnny Cash, Guns N Roses, Bruce Springsteen
-
I'm not a big fan of Edge, but I like him alot more than Orton. It's been so long since I've seen a Lesnar match I don't even have an opinion.
-
Yeah...I don't dream of seeing a Randy Orton match ever. JBL either.

The NWA TNA Week 302 Preview LIVE...on tape from Orlando Yeah...back to taped editions this week. There's two episodes left until Lockdown. As this is a taped show you can read the spoilers on the board if you want to. This preview will be non spoilery. Sting vs. James Storm Boy...they got Sting right back to work didn't they? Storm surprised everyone by cracking a beer bottle over Sting's head to end the LIVE edition of Impact last week. That was awesome. I've been watching TNA from the beginning and I really love when they do stuff with their original guys. I wonder how many are left... *thinking out loud* Styles and Storm appeared at the first ppv tapings. ...Christ is that it? Abyss was on there but he wasn't playing Abyss...and he was then gone for a long time. My God...are those the only 2 wrestlers that are still active that were there from the start? Actually...looking over the people that were on that show...the roster is a 1000 times better now. ... Anyway. Sting's wrestling Storm in the Main Event this week. The real question in all of this is whether this leads to a legit push for Storm. I dig his character...but I'm not sure it'll work outside of the midcard. If he drops the comedy aspects of his drunken character and just played pissed off cowboy that'd be better. Maybe we should start a TNA character discussion thread to disscuss the finer points of the characters and what they need to drop/add. I got really sidetracked here. Sting vs. Storm is a good TV Main Event. That is all. Christian and Rhino vs. AJ Styles and Tomko More build for the Lethal Lockdown match this week. Looking at it...they could have a hell of a tag match if this was on ppv. I doubt the TV match would be anything more than guys getting there stuff in and furthering storyline stuff...but they match up really well. And what do I know? They had a pretty fun 8 man match last week. I love Styles and Tomko. Whenever they pull the trigger on Angle/Styles and *hopefully* LAX taking there titles back, I'm going to miss them as a team. There interaction is just cool. Traci Brooks vs. Peyton Banks They had a decent go at a recent ppv. More of that I suppose. I'm glad they didn't completely forget about Brooks after how awesome she took the post mathc whipping from Banks. There's a storyline here with Brooks looking for revenge. That whole whipping segment was great. Shark Boy vs. Elix Skipper Another Xscape match qualifier. ...Holy shit Elix Skipper. hmm...SharkBoy gets a new character and a push and Elix Skipper reappears out of nowhere. Draw your own conclusions as for a possible result. It seems like forever ago that Skipper walked that cage doesn't it? That XXX reunion didn't work out so great for Elix. LAX & The Motor City Machineguns vs. The Rock N Rave Infection & Black Reign/Rellik They've had all these tag teams running around each other (throw in Eric Young and Kaz too) but I couldn't for the life of me tell you what it's leading to. They do have a lot of tag teams though. LAX are the #1 contenders. I'm going to write that every week. I have a feeling I'll be writing it for a long time. I can't see this being that long. Other stuff: I'm sure that Jay Lethal is still trying to date So Cal Val. Quite the champion he is. More build for Angle/Joe which has been excellent so far. Rough Cut must continue. Seriously...they're getting dangerously close to making me interested in a Kip/BG match. They'd better bleed. Also...will Scott Steiner do something with his briefcases? Is there a time limit on those things? Will he use one of his before CM Punk? That's all I got.

The gulag really needs more people. And not like Marvin who just waited out his suspension...
-
I'd watch this movie. Seriously.
-
They tape a lot of backstage interviews and video packages that the crowd doesn't see at the tapings...so that's probably where stuff that isn't in the spoilers will get moved along I'd imagine. Hell...Kip/BG haven't been in the Impact Zone for a long time and they're getting a better build because of it. ...Just a shame they have to have the match...
