I finally saw Michael Clayton last night/early this morning. I really liked it...but unfortunately its the only best picture that I've seen thus far (They should be forced to release the best picture nominees on DVD and pay per view before the ceremony...I hate going to the theater) so I have no rooting interest tonight.

I've been listening to this album pretty much since I discovered music. It's been in my CD changer in my car for a long while now...and I listen to Thunder Road and the title track pretty much every time I start the car. On the Jeff Hardy topic...and I am in no way a Hardy fan... But this is just what I think... WrestleMania, to me, is when that BIG moment in a guys career is SUPPOSED to happen. Now this years "Main Event" is Orton (who no one thinks should be champ...including the office who had to include their 2 top draws into the match), HHH (who's champion every time you blink) and Cena (who's held it for most of the last 3 years) WHO CARES WHO WINS??? It's all the same. Now where they screwed themselves was pretending that Hardy was going to get a push up to the top. PEOPLE BOUGHT IT. PEOPLE (not me...but at this point...yeah...me) WANT IT. If Mania ends with Undertaker and Cena, HHH or Orton holding the titles... We've seen literaly nothing. No history at the historic event. Nothing of note that will be remembered two months later. NOTHING. ... Now if the red hot Hardy wins the title... Then you've done something.

I thought about employing this strategy...(and ironically would have taken Appetite for that reason) because I knew I could get Stop Making Sense much later in the draft. But in the end...I had to go with the album that I honestly would most want first. If Appetite was taken (and it was...next) I figured as much...and prepared myself for that when I didn't pick it. But on the off chance their was another Talking Heads mark in the draft...and someone took that album...I'd have been heartbroken.

I think the PWInsider guys said it best when they mentioned that unlike their TV shows which feedback is almost always overwhelmingly negative for...they have never recieved ONE bad house show report from someone. It's like 3 different animals. TV sucks. PPVs are usually better than they should be given how bad TV is leading up to it. House Shows rule.

You know what's always kinda irked me about the Star Wars movies? alright...the first one comes out (episode 4) and it's breaking all this new ground in special effects and it's a pretty darn fun movie... Then 3 years later...episode 5 comes out. And it's BAD ASS. And how does it end? Fucking worlds in peril, Han Solo frozen, Vader is Lukes father...and now Luke doesn't have a hand... So people CAN NOT WAIT to see how this shit ends...and 3 years later...episode 6. And it's a pretty fun movie. ... now we cut to this second trilogy. ... And they tell you right off the bat that there will be 3 movies spaced 3 years apart. ...because they're so fucking special. So Episode 1 comes out and it sucks. REALLY REALLY sucks. Jar Jar and Fish people who for some reason speak with Chinese accents, and special effects that are SOMEHOW inferior to what I remember on Star Wars or can see on TV now... And they don't give you a reason to care that there's another movie coming out...let alone 2... You're supposed to care about "how Anakin became Vader"... But you know what...that's just not how storytelling works. I've already seen the ending...and the beginning so far blows. So 3 years later we get our sequel. Episode 2 isn't as bad as 1...but it's still the drizzling shits. And the fucking movie ends with no reason for me to care about the next movie (where they're REALLY going to show you how Anakin becomes Vader) but they know you're going to watch it anyway... Then after another 3 Goddamned years Episode 3 comes out. And it's not a bad movie...but something tells me people in 1983 were MUCH more interested in Jedi (with Han in carbonyte and whatnot) than anyone was with seeing Hayden Christiansen crying about Obi Wan holding him back fall to the dark side. I left episode 2 wondering when anything interesting was going to happen. I went into episode 3 just not caring anymore. But George Lucas has my money...so he wins.

Yeah...it just kinda happened. The first was a double tip in with 2:21 left in the 3rd to make it 3-2 then he scored :36 later to tie it... Then he scored to win it 2:25 into OT 4:46 seconds... Crazy stuff

No doubts on this one... Red hot chili peppers. They were headlining a show with STP and fishbone. Fishbone was alright...and then Scott Weilend (fresh out of another rehab) and STP blew the doors off of the place. After a pretty long wait the Peppers came out and played a boring set that prompted the local paper to say the next day that "they shouldn't have taken STP on tour with them because they're going to get blown out every night." The next day, while listening to a canadian radio station (before the band played in Toronto that night) I heard Flea badmouth Buffalo for not "getting" their music. Oh...we got it Flea. It sucked. BTW... I read reviews of their Toronto show...and STP blew them off the stage that night too. I guess no one gets your music, Flea...
