An idea for the end of Joe's undefeated streak...

I think it will/should be Sabin. It won't happen for some time still...but I think Sabin is the right guy to get that rub to stick and make him a credible "top" X guy ala Styles and Daniels. Whatever the case...as soon as Joe loses...he has to be put in the World title picture ASAP.

News on Austin Aries and Roderick Strong

I think it means that Shelley will. Lethal already kind of is. He's walking into the TV time and push spot that Aries and Strong are getting removed from.

How original . Hey mine's Scroby. As you know, mine is MattYoung. I didn't know I could have spaces in it, and I've wanted to change it to "Matt Young" ever since. You can...by adding those Microsoft points and paying whatever 80 of them works out to in real money.

Here's my ridiculous Sabres statistic of the day: Ryan Miller Since returning to the lineup on 12/19/05: ·named 1st star in 8 of 15 games ·allowed exactly 1 goal in 8 of 15 games ·allowed 2 or fewer in 11 of 15 games ·allowed 0 3rd period goals in 11 of 15 games ·allowed 1 or fewer 3rd period goals in 14 of 15 games On the season: ·has been to OT 4 times and has not allowed a goal—ALL WINS ·has been to shootout 3 times, faced 9 shooters, allowed 1 to score (Forsberg)- ALL WINS ... Marty is never getting that job back.

    ROH Dying????

Well I'll take the otherside and say that it is ridiculous that RoH shys away from focusing on guys under TNA contract. Relations between the two are stronger than ever and until TNA starts running house shows all over...all the time...there is nothing to lose from focusing on a guy who you can see on PPV and soon in prime time national TV. Also...it sets them up as (and there is no other way to look at this) a breeding ground for the guys that are going to go to WWE or TNA someday. Their practically publicizing themselves as a developmental territory for them at this point. Now...the product is better. But they also Don't have the constraints of having to deliver a show for TV that last an hour or 2 with commercials...or even getting it all in on a 3 hour ppv. It's better...because they can run 4 hour shows and sell that. If they had TV and ppv...the product would be a hell of a lot different.

You're out of your mind. Jeanerret is awesome. You have to understand that he isn't just the TV play by play guy...he calls the games for Radio as well. He is so good at getting accross the excitement and emotion of the game when you are stuck listening to the radio. And since I'm stuck at work...it's phenomenal. Plus...he isn't a national guy...he's a local guy. He should yell SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOREEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS....everytime we do. Because it's exciting to 90% of the people watching...and 100% of the people listening. Besides...in between Sabres goals...he is really great at breaking down the action.

    ECW One Night Stand II

I just don't see how they can do it at this point. They can have a good show with a great atmosphere...but an ECW show without: The Dudleys Sabu Rhino Jerry Lynn Shane Douglas And Raven??? That's their best Tag Team, biggest attraction and 4 main eventers.

    RVD on Byte This

Now that was a good response. RVD doesn't do the things that the top level WWE stars do. His punches are about the worst in the business (and I think he should just stick to forearms since they look OKish.) The point with RVD is that he is over BECAUSE he is so different from everyone else on a top level. Love him or Hate him...no one can deny that fans (who buy tickets and merchandise and ppvs) have been trying to make this guy a top level star since he arrived in 2001. WWE's insistance of pushing whoever they want down your throat (Cena, Batista, HHH...boy that Edge guy sure was over...sorry...HHH main events Wrestlemania) gets a little old after a while. Let's look at Mania's top matches this year. Orton/Angle. HHH/Cena. Rey Rey is the fans choice on SD!. But he's assed out. Edge is the top heel on Raw...but he's assed out too. Cena isn't even a top 3 face on Raw at this point...but it's his turn. Yawn.

    OAO 2/4 Impact Thread

Monty has always been played that way. He is a heel becuase he alligned with Jarrett (TWICE) BUT any opportunity he has to remind people that he only alligned with JJ to get a title shot...he'll take it. The first time he went with JJ it was based on a promise that JJ would give him a title shot...that was never given. The last time it was to rail against the "flavor of the months" that TNA keeps signing (Rhino, 3D, Christian, Sting) basically in fear that they will take his spot. They've made the mistake 2 times of commiting Brown to JJ's stable...but they've always left the door open that all he cares about is the NWA title.

    Interesting Note

I'm not a Jarrett fan...but I am a TNA mark. Understand that before I continue. 1. HHH is a better worker than JJ. 2. HHH is a bigger star than JJ has/will ever be. 3. HHH screwed Edge (who I don't like either) just to reestablish himself as a top heel...while ratings have TANKED since HHH has been the ONLY star allowed. 4. TNA is getting an honest to God prime time show on an honest to God national TV network after proving themselves in a terrible slot. One is growing despite...the other is stagnant because. HHH > JJ. But Jarrett hurts his company less.

    RVD on Byte This

    1. To the guy ahead of me...no one really cares about your opinion. Try throwing in some points or facts or anything other than "I like this and not that". Dude...you have 3 posts and it takes more than a cup of coffee to "contribute" to a thread. 2. RVD sounded fairly sincere in his statement that HHH was the best. He phrased it as "the guy who knows what he's doing out there...I'd probably have to give it up to Trips." 3. Even with dropping HHH as the best...there's no way he's angling for HHH's backing when he name drops TNA TWICE after they've spent weeks editing their mentions out of the show. 4. Jerry Lynn is under contract to TNA.

They are getting Breire back. He had the same surgery that Dumont did...and he'll be back before the playoffs. Around the same time as Connelly I'd guess. But, yes...they've played most of the season without their best player (Briere) one of their top 5 players (Dumont) and 2 of their "top" defensemen haven't been all that good (Kalinan sucks...and he was supposed to pick of the slack from losing Zhitnik. and Numminen has been alright in an "he's old and doesn't make mistakes" kind of way.) Oh yeah...and they lost their best goalie for a long stretch too. How Biron managed to win 13 in a row is the mystery that'll get us into the playoffs for the first time in a long time.

    Huge News

That's going to happen no matter what night they are on. There's competition for every primetime slot during the week. But there are also a lot more people watching at 8 than there are at 11. On Saturday.

    Huge News

PWInsider update: "I have heard from two sources that they are hearing the leading time slot for the show would be 8:00 to 9:30 on Thursday nights. Again, that isn't confirmed, but I have heard from two people that is what they are hearing. I also heard that TNA would like to get a Monday slot, starting at 8 o'clock. If it ends up they do 90 minutes on Thursday, it wouldn't shock me to find out that Spike gave TNA the extra half hour as a concession. Spike wants TNA on Thursday as a lead in to UFC programming" -Dave Scherer

Is that when Don West climbed on the announce table? I've just seen a bunch of these recently and am looking forward to more. God bless the wrestling channel for showing classic TNA. Yes. That was the last show of 2002. The show started with the formation of XXX (Which was done because TNA wanted to use Daniels and Low Ki...but both had different Japan commitments that kept them away for months at a time. They wanted to use Skipper too...so they threw him in since they'd always have at least 2 of the 3 around) The show ended with Red and the SATs fighting XXX in there first match. Red took a ridiculous beating and eventually fell...but he and Don West got the whole crowd rocking for him.

Can you elaborate on that? I don't remember if there were more...but I have this image of a small stick figure AJ standing next to a huge stick figure Abyss on Callis' diagram of why Abyss would win.

I've been watching from the beginning...so here are my thoughts (as they come to me after a night of drinking...and having not watched the first 3 years of TNA since they aired) - Ron Killings promo with Ricky Steamboat that got him his world title shot (week 7 I think) This segment flat out made me care about wrestling again. WWE was in the dump (IMO) and although TNA wasn't really that good...this was something fresh that I completely got behind. The Truth ruled early TNA. - Truth winning the title. Sadly this was one of the few moments that TNA truly distinguished itself from being WWE/WCW lite. They made a compelling character in a short amount of time...and then *GASP* pushed him. - Jarrett winning the title from Truth. Even as a huge Truth fan...I loved this. The match was good stuff...and Jarrett was really good in his role at that time (it all evaporated right after). - AMW/New Church. AMW was still pretty new to the tag game...and getting a push as "undefeated" tag champs. It took the unlikely combo of Slash and Brian Lee beating them to really give the team legs. Over the course of their feud...you can really see AMW grow up and into their role. - Raven's debut. Not just because Raven debuted (and was a bigger name then the rest of the roster) but because of the way the show was booked. The bad guys won all night...and Jarrett (then a face) overcame impossible odds to retain the title...only to be attacked by Raven. A good night of booking...and a rarity at that time period. - (agreeing with Corey) Dusty Rhodes promo about tradition. I still think it's the best TNA promo that ever aired. - The Kid Kash/AJ Styles X division street fight. - Elix Skipper walking the cage. - Lynn vs. Waltman at Sacrifice. This match was soo good...that I think of it first when I think about that ppv. Styles/Joe also wrestled on the show...so that's saying a hell of a lot. Sacrifice is, IMO, the best show TNA has ever put on. (second is the first Super X Cup tournament). - Joe vs. AJ at Turning Point. This is my favorite TNA match of all...and I have seen every single moment of their programming. The emotion was off the charts. And when AJ kicked out of a Samoa Joe power bomb at the count of 1 (after getting the crap kicked out of him for a while) and then stood up and screamed in Joe's face... I jumped out of my seat for only the second time as a wrestling fan. The first was Mania 13 when I thought that Austin had broken the sharpshooter. It was that good to me.
