I don't know that it will be any more fair in this forum. People will vote here who have never seen Daniels...whereas everyone in the TNA folder has obviously seen a lot of Angle. Where is my Joe vs. the entire WWE roster poll???

I voted for Angle...and I have no defense for it. Maybe it's just that I haven't watched WWE in so long his abilities have grown in my mind. ... Let's start a Samoa Joe vs. the rest of the TNA/WWE roster poll!!!

It's a really exciting time to be an Oilers fan right now. This team can also be so much better which is the scary part. Some questionable defense (Cross, Ulanov) and sub-par goaltending have this team out of first right now. The Oilers need to make a trade for goaltending right now. One possible guy is Ryan Miller. I just don't see how that guy stays on with the Sabres after what Biron has done lately. I would bet my house and everything in it that Biron is the one to get traded. I would make a smaller wager that no one gets dealt this year (they've had 3 injuries to goaltending already...and if they'd have moved anyone before this point they'd have been screwed this year)

I actually voted for Joe in all 3 (and gave him vs. Styles at Turning Point the TNA MOTY). I just look at his debut, and what he did in the last half of the year as more important than what Daniels did the whole year (although I would put him at #2). Daniels established himself as a guy to be put on the same level as AJ (no small feat by TNA standards) while Joe really blew the doors off the building with an upside that I think is bigger than anyone in the company. To think that he was offered a WWE contract...and the joke of what they would have done with him...while instead he spent his year in RoH and TNA putting on MOTYCs instead. To be cliche...and yet state my opinion: Samoa Joe is pro wrestling. And TNA is lucky to have him (and have done a great job with him to their credit)

If there's a god then he'll work a steelcage match with the writing staff and Vince McMahon with the same results as the last cage match he was involved in. Nice callback

What do you think of that? Think it could work? Think it'd make either division look worse than before? Better? I think the right way to go with Joe (and the way I think they will end up going with him) is to have him beat Styles for the title at Turning Point. Have Daniels come back for revenge...but still have Joe win and remain undefeated. (Styles and Daniels are already seen as the top of the division...so losses aren't going to hurt them). Then someone from the lower tier has to knock him off. Probably Sabin since he's probably the best prospect of the bunch to stick to the top once he's pushed there. After losing the title, Joe should be put immediatly into the heavyweight division and win that title.

I liked the alternate ending better.

Terry Funk was one of the 3 named members of the championship commitee... But he never appeared in that capacity. He did tag with Raven. I think the commitee was Piper/Funk/Race. Race appeared one time. Funk never did. Now Zbysko is in charge.

Yeah...I don't know who thought that one up. They have to remember...Christian is like...a regular. There's no need to hotshot anything. Having him against anyone just adds to the overall card on his first TNA match.

I finally voted really dumb...but not because I think they booked themselves into a corner...I just think they're doing things out of order. Christian should have taken on Bobby Roode. It would be a good match...start his Team Canada feud...and not even put the top Team Canada guy out there with him. With Joe/AJ, AMW/3D and Barbed Wire...there is no need for Christian to have anything more than a showcase match on the show.

Well...I think the point is probably moot anyway. I don't think JJ will be jobbing to Monty anytime soon. He's probably going to use the Christian pick up to hold on for that match. I don't see $$ there. Joe/JJ on the other hand...

Yeah the sniffing was an example of something that worked once...so he never got rid of it. God Damn Dusty Rhodes for blowing this whole thing all those many months ago. I swear he should have won the title on the Impact before Turning Point when he no sold the guitar shot and did his animalesque mannerisms with the ring rope. The crowd (which isn't the best judge...but a year ago they weren't the joke they've become since) was absolutely apeshit and begging for that title change. And...unlike the Styles wins (all 3 of them) of Jarrett...it wasn't just because they wanted to see Jarrett drop the belt. At least for that moment. His other 4 title losses were (at least in my eyes) pops for him losing more than anything. I mean...everyone loved Styles...but in the first match they wanted Raven to win it...in the second one Styles was just the guy they through in after Harris/Raven/Truth/everyone else had spent many many weeks trying to determine the top contender...and the last time they only did it because the anti JJ heat got too vocal. Then there was Rhino's joke win that they only did because they couldn't deliver the planned main event. Seriously...outside of Raven/JJ (which they dropped the ball on) Raven/AJ/JJ (where AJ won...but was clearly not the crowd choice during the match)... That match with Brown might be the only time someone captured the crowd and became a bigger story than people wanting to see JJ lose (and not in the good heel way).

Maybe the Brown thing is purely selfish on my part... But as I've said before...I just love his character...and his "stalking Jarrett" storyline fits so well. That storyline is so simple...but so good they were able to play his TERRIBLE heel turn (thanks Dusty) into it and get out pretty clean (By that I mean continuing the notion that he only turned because JJ promised him a shot. Since then...Monty has been routing for Jarrett to win his matches...because as he says he wants to beat Jarrett for it). It just needs the payoff. Is he the best guy? Clearly not. But he's the only one who's been pushed to be in position for it. And I like his weird promos.

I noticed a lot of little things through repeated viewings. The best of which is when Mal confronts Simon about River going Apeshit. They first cut to a shot of Zoe, then someone else (maybe Kaylee), then to a shot of Wash. The way the shot is framed though...you can see Zoe's hand moving away from her holster. That one shot tells you just how dark Mal had gotten since we left the show. And why wouldn't he...with Book and Inara having left...not a lot of heart left on the ship.

Yeah he needs more than just the promo... What I'd do is have someone with some credability (You know...Raven has literally nothing to do) come out and run him down for his dancing and joking around when he USED TO BE SOMEBODY in the company. Get him pissed off. Instant feud that can use Raven to shoot Truth back up in the eyes of the audience. And then of course (as everyone en route to a title shot does) he'll beat Abyss.

I've always said that Killings is one promo away from being a top contender again...but he's been trapped in the lower midcard 3LK for SOOOO long now. And people who didn't watch the weekly ppvs (which is nearly everyone in the world)...there's no way they see him as anything at this point. As good as Abyss is...and as good as Jim Mitchell is as his mouthpiece...he also needs serious building to be seen as a top contender and not the JTTS that he is.

I get what people are saying about Monty...but the way I look at it... Christian can't just come in and win the title right off. He needs to chase it. That leaves you with either JJ retaining forever...or putting it on any one of the retreads (Raven, Rhino, Hardy) OR Brown. Since I don't consider Christian a viable option any time in the next few months...I vote Brown.
