Wait... almost killed a guy? Imust have missed that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In simple terms... sometimes bps drinks too much whiskey. sometimes assholes step out of line. sometimes assholes need their faces kicked in and to be left for dead in the snow. Thankfully...he lived. And just as thankfully I got a good lawyer who made my case such a mess that they got their conviction...and I don't go to jail. Cause God knows I couldn't stand to miss all the great WWE programming.
-
I refuse to pay for WWE programming at this point. This show looks like an average RAW. $34.99? Please.

I'm on second shipment...and have already got my call that I'm waiting until next year. It kind of blows...but between my 45 hours of work a week and the 100 hours of community service I have to do before January 2nd (from that time I almost killed that guy) I really won't have time to play it anyway.
-
I finally watched the show (I work nights and have to DVR them) and I liked it. Styles/Joe interaction was great. Rhino/Abyss was a nice TV match. I really liked Christian/Monty.

In (dis)honor of AD being cancelled

5. Red Dwarf 4. The Larry Sanders Show 3. Family Guy 2. South Park 1. The Office (british version) -
Don West is a necessary evil. Mike Tenay (who I love on play by play) is very weak at selling big moves...so they need someone over the top to balance the team. I would agree that a three man team would work. Look no further than all the times Christopher Daniels sat in and the commentary was excellent.

TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread

Austin was the bigger draw by the way. You can fondly remember Hulkamania all you want too...but Austin was the bigger draw. For a quick line of thought on how it's possible that Austin's shorter time on top drew more...How many ppvs were they running a year when Hogan was the guy? -
My favorite match of his was at Judgment Day vs. RVD. It's still the only match that RVD's moveset really worked.

Barbed Wire Match announced for Turning Point
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Jebus's topic in TNA Wrestling
Interesting thought. From a logic perspective...how did Sabu know that Abyss was afraid of Barbed Wire in the first place? Mitchell would know that. But...I think Mitchell is more interested in being Abyss's mouthpiece and trying to develop his character through his promos. The last two months he's been dropping in character backstory for Abyss. I guess it could happen...but if it did the feud would continue for more months. It's been a good feud...but one that lasts 6 months instead of 4 would be a little much. I think Abyss moves on to Rhino after this. I think Sabu's role is to just make Abyss look like a monster. Which...he's done very well. -
If Christian's heat can't survive a tainted loss to Monty Brown...then he was a useless pick up. Monty has to win. HAS TO. HAS TO. He's been stalking the NWA title since he returned to the friggin company. I understand that he isn't that great in the ring...and although I love his promos...some people don't... Since Christian is portraying a face...his money program is in the chase. The chase does not end 2 months after he signs. Monty has been chasing for over a year now. Everyone hates JJ. And I am included...but to put Christian over him right off is a mistake. Let someone cost him his title shot and let him chase. He needs to chase. Brown is the guy. Brown has been the guy for a long time (since he should have won it before they turned him heel oh so many months ago). Brown beating Christian (even by nefarious means) works two fold. First of all it tells you that the midcard WWE guy isn't better than the guy TNA has been pushing for the last year plus...and secondly it gives Christian some winnable programs that, when added to Brown's title chase, AMW/Team 3D, Samoa Joe/AJ/Daniels and the rest of the X division... Well...those things add up to a few very interesting/entertaining/meaningful pay per views. If you want to make the most out of Christian...then you put the title on Brown in the near future...and then flip the coin between Christian and Joe as to who should be taking it from whoever the champ is at Bound for Glory II. (This may not be the best time...but I see $$$ in Joe vs. JJ for the title. Especially if they can pull one of those "we're pretty much telling you Joe is winning in the promos and build up" kind of things. More than anyone...people want to see Joe win...and more than anyone...people want to see JJ get choked out like a bitch. Anyway... Monty Brown for champion...or everything they've done in the past year was a waste.
-
With Joe/AJ and AMW/3D... Why would they want to blow someone else's title shot on a card that already has this on it?
-
I beat Shelton Benjamin for the IC title in a cage match...then Bischoff said that the title couldn't be defended in a cage in September. King called it the "Virgil Runnels amendment". Absolutely brilliant.
-
Sabu isn't a guy that they can count on enough to push. He's a special attraction guy that they get a lot out of when he shows up. He has no showed them in the past... Despite the seemingly simple heel/face feud...the point is to put Abyss over. There are no plans to use Sabu as anything more than a known name to put over the unknowns. Just like Jeff Hardy. ... Exactly like Jeff Hardy.
-
Rhino is the right choice for the title match... With Joe vs. AJ and Team 3D vs. AMW...they didn't need to blow Monty or Christian's title shot on this show.

Well...it's official: 50 games for first offense

Barbed Wire Match announced for Turning Point
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Jebus's topic in TNA Wrestling
It's the logical next step in the feud. I'd imagine they'd put it around the ropes...taking the ropes on and off would be a big time killer. And this match isn't going on last. -
How good are NWA relations with TNA Really?
The Ghost of bps21 replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in TNA Wrestling
Here's what I've got. 1. TNA is far and away the biggest venue for the NWA title to be since the WWE would never take it. 2. If I'm not mistaken...the NWA president left in the past year. 3. The NWA is only a name at this point...and has been since WCW had their falling out with them. They kept the title alive until TNA came about...but then stripped their champion (Dan Severn) and gave it to TNA. 4. TNA can put it on anyone they see fit...when WCW did this almost 15 years ago...the NWA pulled their name from them. They have made no such move with TNA...so they can't be that unhappy. 5. I've never understood why TNA dropped the NWA name...but they do put over the lineage and history of the NWA titles (World and Tag) very often. -
Eddie's not. But Orton's supposed to work with Taker again.
-
They included the Best Taker match ever.

Come up with real songs for TNA wrestlers to use
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Masked Man of Mystery's topic in TNA Wrestling
Just give Monty the real version of Down with the Sickness. He's already using the knock off. -
I voted for Benoit. In reality...they have a better shot at Jericho...and I think he adds more overall... But the prospect of Benoit vs. Joe is just too much for me to vote any other way.
-
He's just having fun. In his interview he talked about liking to mess with net fans.

Chris Jericho's First Interview Since Leaving WWE
The Ghost of bps21 replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
I listened to the interview...and you can tell that he is a legit fan of the TNA product. He says the same things that we say everyday in the TNA folder. -Samoa Joe rules -They need to develop characters because (and this is as near a quote as I can recall) I can't tell Austin Aries from Roderick Strong...and that's sad. He also said that he watched the 3 way with Joe, Styles and Daniels and questioned whether or not he could perform at that level. -
With less than two months left...my vote remains with Resident Evil 4.
-
I see Christian was smart enough to prepare for the future and copyright whatever he could. Good on him.
