Well...it's been a hell of a ride here in Buffalo this year. The arrival of Willis McGahee. The breakout of Lee Evans. Dare I even say the reconstruction of Drew Bledsoe to serviceable QB (and after the last 2 years of games...that's more mindblowing than anything else this year). 5 returns for TDs. 1,000 yards and 11 TDs for a guy who didn't officially get the starting job until Halloween (which is also the game that we scored the FIRST rushing TD of the entire damn season...week 7 for those keeping score). Scoring over 33 for 6 straight. Brian freaking Moorman. There was more excitement this year than in the last 5 combined. 0-4. 1-5. 3-6. 9-6. I'll be heading to the stadium today hoping to see them hit double digit wins. And although it is hard to imagine getting the help we need from the crappy Rams or the don't need to win Colts... Well...it was a lot more ridiculous to think that a team who wasn't included on the "In the hunt" category when they started doing playoff scenerios is still standing in the last week. It's almost a miracle that they were able to leapfrog Baltimore and Jacksonville (both of whom had better records and wins over Buffalo) thinking back 7 weeks. One more miracle would be really really nice. We only win one tiebreaker. And since the Colts aren't all in it today... boy do I wish the Rams could stop the run. Anyway...still have to beat Pittsburgh too. At least the B team. I'll be upset if we don't make the playoffs...but I'll really only be disapointed if we lose our own game. That would suck. Happy football on a crappy week of games everyone (except fans of the Jets, Broncos or Steelers. You I hate).

Well...there lies the problem. Look at the AFC. Just look at the teams that AREN'T going to the playoffs this year. Baltimore, Jacksonville, Cincinnati, Houston and one of the Broncos, Jets and Bills. Which of those teams doesn't feel pretty good about next year? There are more bad teams in the NFC West than there are in the entire AFC. AND The Dolphins just beat the Patriots last week. AFC is going to be tough for a while.

Buffalo gets in with a win at home against the Steelers back ups... and EITHER a Bronco loss to the Colts backups OR a Jets lost to the friggin crappy Rams. It don't look so good...but hey...they started 0-4. It's all been up hill.

I'd like to say congrats to Willis McGahee. He didn't start the first 4 weeks...and also didn't start week 6 (because someone foolishly thought Travis Henry should be the starter)... and today he crossed 1,000 yards and has 11 TDs. Add in Lee Evans rookie season with 9 TDs and more clutch catches than you can shake a stick at...and the future is looking bright. Now...must find way to poison the food of the Jets and Broncos.

Yeah...but Indy isn't going to have anything to play for either against Denver. I'll just take 0-4 to in it in the last week of the season as it's own miracle for now...and pray for a little more help. That's assuming we beat San Fran.

Well...so far Baltimore and Jacksonville appear to be elimiinating themselves from playoff talk. If the Bills can take care of the 49ers at 4...we're down to 3 teams (Jets, Broncos and Bills in that order) for the 2 wild card spots in the AFC.

That's a good question since they seem to want to get him over as a top singles guy. With Styles, Williams and Sabin all going into the Ultimate X...I don't even know who's left. It also doesn't help that he was a heel last week...and on the next Impact he's facing another heel. I have Skipper pegged as the newest meaningless 6 man X division tag guy...joining the likes of Dutt, Red, Kazarian and Shane. They've been pushing Garza pretty heavy...and with Nash working (I crack myself up sometimes) a match already at the show...he's probably facing Hall. So I don't see anyone left worth mentioning aside from Kash...who is also a heel.

The thing is...I don't see Jarrett dropping the title for DDP anyway. It's like the Raven-Styles thing all over again. Jarrett beats the name guy in Raven...but puts over Styles for the title twice. I think Jarrett would drop it to Brown before he Page.

It doesn't make you a bad person... But Monty going through 3 former WCW Champions en route to winning the NWA title is the only option that I can see positive in. Jarrett needs to drop it... Nash needs to stay away from it... DDP I like...but he's had one match in TNA?
