What happy news for Bills fans. Not only did they pass over our Offensive Coordinator just when the offense started working...but they took one away from a division rival.
-
Well...that's interesting at least. Everyone from here who saw the show fealt they got their moneys worth. And we are fairly harsh critics taken as a whole. Hell...so far 9 people are sure they wouldn't like something they didn't see...that everyone else thought was good.
-
The way Brown wins the title is by overcoming Nash and Hall interference and winning clean. Coffey...I don't know how you could think people are mocking the finisher. I really don't. When people chant for it, and then pop for it...that's mocking? Come on. You don't like it...but don't speak for other people. It is a ridiculous move...but most finishers are. At least this one looks like it can come out of nowhere (how does Styles get his opponent into that position EVERY MATCH?) and until someone kicks out...it's credible.

"I voted for no. His promo's are lackluster and he is LOST in the ring. Did ya'll see his match with Jeff Jarrett on the last iMPACT!? He doesn't know what to do if it's not a squash. His finisher is also a joke. The crowd chants for it in a taunting way. They want to see it so that they can laugh at it. Since Monty is supposed to be taken as a serious threat, hell, even a contender, that's not a good sign. He's a TNA created star, but he's not been fully created yet. It's too soon. Granted I don't like Jeff Jarrett as champion either, but at least he's been around the block a few times." Coffey...are you serious? 1. His promos are lackluster? Dating back to the last couple months of the weekly ppvs, his promos have been really good. I hope you aren't expecting a guy that size to be cutting serious "My dream is to win the World title" Chris Benoit-esque promos. His I'm going to kill you genre of promo is unmatched. Half of what makes his promos good...is that no one else has promos remotely similar. 2. If you think the fans mock the pounce you are out of your mind. They chant for the move...and then pop huge when he hits it. I'm not going to start the discussion of what makes a credible finisher (such as No one ever having kicked out of it. After all...every wrestling finisher is ridiculous in the context of a fight) But you are way off on fan approval. 3. He's not the best wrestler in the world. Fine. But most people liked him in the Jarrett match...and the last 2 ppv matches haven't exactly sucked either. He's not going to work a mat classic at any time in his career...but he's catching fire as an overall package (similar to the Truth at teh very beginning of the company...and he couldn't really work either) and he's interesting when he's on screen. He looks like a star. Jarrett looks like Jarrett. Everyone else hasn't been near the World title program for a while. I think Monty, as an overall package...combined with his ongoing NWA Title storyline is THE guy to face Jarrett now at Final Resolution.
-
I don't know if that's common sense. If Jarrett wasn't champion they'd probably have let him beat whoever was.
-
No Savage in the Main Event? I'm...just...so...happy.
-
But it makes the rest of the card better by default.
-
You know what they should do? Take Jarrett, Hardy, Savage, Monty Brown, Abyss and someone else and have another King of the Mountain match. That way all the heavyweight division guys (each with there own limitation...Savage to a ridiculous degree) are in one match and not all over the card. Then fill the rest of the card with X division matches...which under Dusty's new vision actually would get time for the matches. The alternative is Hardy against someone (probably Brown...again), Raven and DDP doing something and suddenly half the card is that. Not to mention Hall and Nash. Ugh. Just fill it with matches you know can work. Instead of Ultimate X do Sabin vs. Williams again...Then Styles is available for another match instead of adding him to 2 guys who can already have a good match without him. Actually...now I've gone to far into fantasy booking...since my Final Resolution is headlined by Brown vs. Jarrett (I don't care what people think of Monty Brown at this point. SOOOO much better than Savage. Plus he and Jarrett wouldn't be a bad title match anyway). Williams vs. Sabin. AMW vs. Hall and Nash. Team Canada vs. Kazarian and Shane for the tag titles. Styles can face Daniels in a #1 contenders match of something. I don't know...this shouldn't be this hard for them. They know who can work and who cant...but they seem intent on killing any and all momentum that Turning Point could have provided. They ALWAYS kill any positive momentum they get. Jarrett vs. Savage is a huge step in a repeat of that.

I second Timesplitters 2.
-
I'd think that Corey would have been happy with that result. Not only do we not have to see singles pushes for Harris and Storm... But you KNOW Daniels will get a push in the X division, while Skipper will join Red, Dutt and whoever else as the fill in X division 6 man tag guy.
-
I would also like to point out for no particular reason... If that Insane Skipper move happened on a WWE ppv...it would be the talk of the world (more or less). But it happened in TNA...so if a tree falls in the woods... Well...I'm glad I was there to hear it.
-
I'll tell you what...I've let it sink in now... And I'm ready to offer my opinion that the cage match tonight was the best match in TNA history. Even without the insane Skipper move. Violent bloody warfare. I always think of a small handful of matches when I think of this companies best: the first AMW vs. XXX cage match, Sabin vs. Juvi from the finals of the X Cup, the Low Ki vs. Lynn vs. Styles non-ladder 3 way from week 8...and maybe the Low Ki vs. Styles NWA Title match up until the super terrible ending. I liked this one better. And...it had that insane Skipper move.
-
Skipper's tightrope walk on the cage was the biggest mark out moment I've had in a very long time. It was insane.

You know...saying the Bills are an easy win for the Bengals is a little...daft I think. The Bills are now 6-2 in the last 8 games. It's the 0-4 start that killed them. Losing 3 of those 4 by 3 points or less was annoying.
-
Yeah...it's so fd up in the AFC this year. If the Bills win out they'll go 10-6 and won't make it. Meanwhile...in the NFC...
-
Why can't Sakuraba just leave bad enough alone at this point? Why must I watch him get beat AGAIN? WHY????? Oh well... 0-4 we go.
-
Bah...not nearly enough talk about Willis.
-
I love Willis McGahee.

I can actually think of a specific example off the top of my head where WS DOES make the movie better. In Scream, there is a moment where the killer pops out of the closet...at least in WS he does. In FS there is no closet...just a dude entering from nowheresville. Or...better yet...try watching a movie like Multiplicity and count how many times it has to pan and scan to catch what they want you to see. Subtlety of a situation can easily be lost when the screen has to MOVE TO SHOW YOU SOMETHING MEANT TO BE IN THE BACKGROUND.

I was front row for the Bigelow match. Awesome time that was. Also...his Judgment Day match with Eddy was far and away (IMO of course) the best match I've ever seen him in.

Third Annual SmartMark's Video Game Awards!
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Lightning Flik's topic in Video Games
This isn't the 1st. I did this the last 2 years. -
The way I did that one was you have to kill the first two close guys right away. As soon as you leave the roof open fire on the van...you should be able to bring it down before you even reach the road it's on. The turn and take out the biker on the street next to it. If you don't get them both right away...reload and start over because you won't have enough fuel to get back. I hit all 5 guys as quick as I could and I still ran out of fuel just before landing once. But the next time I barely made it. The last Zero mission is really fun...so stick through this one.

I got my copy last night and we had 16 people on 8 TVs tearing up multiplayer. It was a blast. Today...I start single player...and tonight...XBox Live

Me too. I quit trying last week and have been doing side stuff like gang tags and races instead.
