I don't blame them for going in a different direction. The British version totalled less than one american season from start to finish...which is why it worked. But the American one has gone WAYYY to far with the characters. Michael used to be an oddly likeable unlikeable...now I just want to fast forward through everything he says...and the Michael-centric episodes are almost unwatchable (Making pants tents in the woods? Fuck that. Although the last episode was better...because Michael was right and was easy to root for). The Jim/Pam thing annoys me because the point of the Office to me was that funny things happened and there was this poor schlub that you really wanted to see happy since he was the one genuinely likeable guy. They didn't replace that with anything when he won (and at times he can get awfully smug which I hate) and I'm left with a collection of characters who I don't particularly want to see good things happen to since they don't evoke any kind of sympathy most of the time.

There was no "weird" charm to the office. It was a simple thing of watching quirky people do a boring job and rooting for the 2 normal ones to end up together. Now it's a show of ridiculous over the top charicatures of people not doing any kind of work whatsoever and the people who you wanted to see get together make the most boring worst couple ever.

You could film that movie in an afternoon if you caught Angle and the Survivor chick on the backlot of Universal before a TV taping. ... I must see it.

I just think it's a nice jab at an underwhelming Mania. I don't subscribe to the theory that companies should act like they exist in a bubble unaware of things that everyone else knows.

I'd like to see Michael go elsewhere and be a roaring success. He'll obviously end up back at Dunder Mifflin out of loyalty...but this is a good way to push the fact that all of the stupid counterproductive things that he does somehow lead them to profits and every other branch sucks. And corporate should get the fuck off his back.

Lockdown is going to do good (by TNA standards) numbers. Foley and Sting are firing on promos right now and people will pay to see that match. Not...you know...alot of people... But more than usual.

I think he picked the right year to say it. Becuase, honestly...is anyone really excited for Mania 25?

I think getting this far sends a pretty clear message to the guys left standing. If you make the final 4...well...whoever "wins" the tournament is gone and they're not going to win it next year. So you kind of have a year to prove to everyone that you aren't deserving of being the next one.

Although I question the point of bringing up something done years ago for a 2009 tournament...I look at the way Enigma handled his success in the tournament in this thread and compare it to how RoHo did in the other thread... And there's just no chance I'm voting for Enigma if they face off.

I read yesterday that the plan was for Bonaduce to be a heel at Lockdown and immediately thought that it had to be Eric Young's spot. But then I watched the video and Young came off as a total dick heel. So I don't know. I do think they can have a decent celebrity match though. Young is really good.

He said that he was proud that he hit Sting because as Angle was kicking the crap out of him he heard Sting say "Just pin him already" and asked who the hell Sting was to decide when Foley had had enough. It played back into Foley's asking Sting who he was to decide that Foley was had wrestled his last match in the opener. Then he got all intense and accepted the match at Lockdown in that good Foley promo voice.

"They're basing the feud off stuff that none of today's fans will remember " Huh? They're basing it off of Foley getting pissed at Sting for deciding that Foley was done in the match last night and waffling him with a chair. It was yesterday.

They managed to make Foley hitting Sting with the chair make sense. Good for them. Foley's promos last night were great, especially the one after the match. The Beer Money/3D promo was good too. So they've set up two matches with good promos.

When this tournament is over I demand a picture of Batman bringing flowers to the grave of the winner/loser/Roho
