I think that's just love of the source material. Part of the reason making a superhero movie is hard is that you're usually going through hundreds upon hundreds of stories to figure out what you want to do. Watchmen has one story. A really really great one. I still don't think it's gonna work, myself...but I can't wait to see it.

I didn't say it wasn't important. I'm just saying it's not as important as it's been made out to be the last couple of pages. If we go to far down that path we eventually end up with Dilfer being better than Marino. The Ravens were better than the Dolphins. The other 52 guys count.

Because he's no longer in charge of me.

That joke has been made mellow.

I like George Bush a lot more right now than I did an hour ago.

I think there is FAR too much emphasis being put on QBs "winning" the Superbowl. Does Elis 255 yards, 2 TDs and 3 turnovers in the Superbowl really make him a better QB than he was the day before or he was this year? McNabb threw for a hundred more yards and one more TD against the same # of turnovers in his Superbowl... The point is the QB, while important, can't always control what happens in a game. And if Eli gets all the credit for winning that SB...then he should get all of the guff for the other 3 no win playoff appearances that surrounded it.

Oh I hope to God she gets on that ticket in 2012.
-
Yeah. Obama could've recovered from the first line but then the guy then threw him further off by screwing up the second one.
-
Yeah there was definite movement on the line followed by a deer in the headlights look and the ball hitting the ground. ... Have you ever watched JP Losman play? It was exactly like the 2006 Bills
-
In fairness to the closing of that thread...you started it ten minutes before the event and over an hour into the conversation on the inauguration.
-
And so begins another round.
-
For those of us that don't care about this media circus enough to get out of bed early to watch it, what happened? He started repeating the first line before the guy finished reading and then they butchered the second line so bad they had to pause and start it over.

Backups can't count. ... Rob Johnson has one.

Just a random silly question... In this speech he said 44 people have been sworn in...which isn't true. So...between him and his writers did everyone now know this or did they just leave it out of fear that since he's the 44th president alot of people wouldn't know that Cleveland counts twice?
-
" Actually, he could be Don West's brother" "Look what we've got here for you today. A BLACK PRESIDENT!!! GEM MINT 10!!!!"

The addition of the wheelchair has just turned Cheney all the way into a Bond arch-villain.
-
Yes. Yes he is.
-
Was he moving Dick's furniture with him?

I don't see why Twisted should be punished. You can do whatever you want with your slots...and the scoring is the scoring.

That's because Casino Night happened way too early for a show that's going to run at least 6 years. They could have gotten another year easy out of Pam becoming more discouraged about her never ending engagement while Jim was stuck playing her best friend that wanted more. What also worked really well for that second season was that, unlike a lot of episodes now, Jim/Pam was a PART of the episodes...not the point. If Casino Night had happened at the end of season 3...I think the show would be in infinitely better shape. The show doesn't have the heart that it did, IMO. Dwight, Michael, Andy and the rest are all charicatures of people and it's much harder to connect to what's happening to them. That's what makes Jim and Pam work. They are the most normal people in a group of cartoon characters. Now they're the boring normal people in a group of cartoon characters.

I can't imagine Blair going along with Bush's bad decisions helped. People here lost a lot of interest in politics that wasn't just bashing Bush. It took dynamic personalities like Obama and Palin (and the great unifier of Bush leaving) for the turnaround to happen. In England don't you vote party and not person? It's probably harder to get excited when you aren't voting for a person as much as an ideal...although it's probably a smarter way to keep from getting duped by a good salesman.

They don't have an option for taking a Eli Manning or keeping Donovan McNabb. Manning has had a couple of good years in a row. And that's great. He's also only had one year where the Giants didn't lose their first playoff game since he became a starter. Baltimore just proved you don't need a QB to get to the championship game. Winning a Superbowl does not a great QB make. As someone already said...Marino has 0. If your point is you'd rather have a QB who's younger and goes to the playoffs...super point. I don't see how Philadelphia has that option on their plate...so still...super point.
-
First and foremost...it's called a shift button. There are TWO of them on your keyboard. It's like...tied for he highest percentage of buttons that you can hit. Secondly... You're awfully hard on McNabb for his first half against Arizona... How'd Eli fair in his one playoff appearance this year?
-
Things are bound to be bigger here than in England. The country is just too damned big and everyone has to have a voice. Stupid democracy. Stupid people shouldn't get a say. That's how we ended up re-electing the idiot 4 years ago.

Statistics don't really bear out your Eli > McNabb idea
