Triple H's TV/PPV Match Stats
The Ghost of bps21 replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
HHH loses all the meaningless tag matches. That pads his stats. If you look in the Raw threads the weeks those matches take place...somewhere in them I will alert everyone that a meaningless tag match is about to take place...and that HHH is losing. -

Styles did hit the Styles Clash in the triple threat. He pinned Jarrett with it. -

The Bradshaw clothesline strikes again. -
He only had the one good year. The first three years of his career he would quit on plays...but he ran his mouth enough that we knew he'd have a break out year in his contract season.
-
In the other direction...Peerless Price drops easy balls...won't block...and was WAYYYY overpaid for someone who never had to play without a better reciever on the other side of the field.

Triple H's TV/PPV Match Stats

Well...I'm almost positve at this point that HBK is taking the fall. I'm just not certain who's pinning him. I'd say I'm 55/45 in favor of HHH winning. I would really like to think that the Eddie win last month was a sign of things to come. And that they won't end WrestleMania XX with a heel winning this match. -

I also predict that Backlash will bomb. They can't sell me Benoit going after HHH's title after not winning at Mania. They can't even sell me HHH getting a shot at the title if Benoit wins. They could sell me Benoit vs. HBK because: A: The match would be good. 2. Benoit would be a mega face, and HBK would be a mega heel...to the crowd anyway C: Benoit would win for sure. -

That's what I meant. I think most marks expect Angle to win because he's more established than Eddie. At least...that's what I gather from the WrestleMania predictions thread on the Bills board I go to. Everyone who picked Goldberg to win...picked Angle as well. -

From the daily Ovserver update. Nothing major...but it adds to the "3 way as main event" side of the argument: Tivo subscribers are being sent a 10 minute Wresltemania preview and past highlights package. This was put together some time ago, as the only match featured is the "main event" of HHH vs. Chris Benoit for the title. This must have been done before the Rumble, since the wheels were in motion for Michaels probably a week or so before the Rumble to be added to the main event. Interesting they didn't push Taker vs. Kane or Goldberg vs. Lesnar, both of which were decided by the fall of 2003. (thanks to Russ Cress) -

I voted for Angle/Eddy. I love that Foley/Rock vs. Orton/Batista and Flair has no votes. -

Want to know the main difference? Back at Mania 16 NO ONE expected the heel to retain. Flash forward 4 years...and not only do people expect it...but they down right loathe the product for it. -
I'll give RoH the benefit of the doubt. But I do hope that if 6 months from now, RF is back everyone (wrestlers, building owners, casual fans and even the hardcore fans) will tell them to fuck off in force.

Brock Lesnar quits WWE after Mania!
The Ghost of bps21 replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
While I don't disagree with his outward reasoning (that the inevitable Taker push part 1000000 is a BAD IDEA)... Everyone else has that travel schedule too...and they don't make as much money to do it. Plus...he's only been doing the traveling for 2 years or so... I've seen the question "how good will Brock be in 5 years"... Now I wonder "What frame of mind will Brock be in in 5 years". -
Here ya go: "Ring of Honor representatives have faxed paperwork indicating a stock transfer has taken place putting 100% of the stock in both Ring of Honor, Inc and R.F. Video, Inc in the name of Douglas I. Gentry. Stock certificates in the amount of 1000 shares in each company were issued to Gentry to replace certificates previously held by Rob Feinstein. The stock certificates were dated March 8, 2004. The paperwork provided by Ring of Honor does not address any of the other owners of the promotion, and Feinstein is believed not to have been the only owner of the company. Gabe Sapolsky, ROH's booker, told 1Wrestling.com in an exclusive interview last night that it had not been decided yet whether to reveal information about ownership of Ring of Honor. The information provided to 1Wrestling.com includes copies of corporate resolutions to issue the stock certificates as well as copies of the actual certificates and a letter from the attorney handling the transaction. It's not known if the paperwork has been filed with appropriate authorities as the paperwork received by 1Wrestling.com bears no notary stamp or other governmental seal. Ring of Honor staff members have been scrambling to do damage control since the news broke last week that Rob Feinstein had been involved in a sting operation conducted by perverted-justice.com and NBC10. Feinstein was one of three people included in an NBC10 report, but was the only one to have his last name and profession mentioned in the report. Feinstein initially released a statement saying he was stepping down until his name was cleared, but Ring of Honor representatives have insisted that Feinstein is not involved in the company at all and will not be returning. 1Wrestling.com received reports yesterday that Feinstein had continued to be involved with in a behind the scenes role as recently as this weekend, but Sapolsky strongly denied that in his 1Wrestling.com interview last night. Gentry is a long time friend of Feinstein, prompting speculation that he would be merely holding onto Feinstein's shares of the company for him until the controversy dies down. Sapolsky, and others have gone on the record as saying that's not the case and that if Feinstein remains with the company in any way that they would leave. Bobby Heenan, Low Ki, Abyss, and Roddy Piper have all decided to disassociate themselves from Ring of Honor because of the controversy. Roddy Piper and Abyss were both scheduled for the Ring of Honor show set to be held on March 13 and have withdrawn from that event." -1wrestling.

1. Styles pledges his support: "AJ Styles released the following statement through his manager Bill Behrens: AJ Styles is a current champion in Ring Of Honor, and has worked with the company since the beginning. AJ, who is a devout Christian, made the following statement referencing the recent well publicized activity of a former ROH executive. "I am aware that some Priests and Preachers have been accused of similar activity, but that does not mean that I will not go to the church. Church is not about the preacher, but the people." AJ Styles will appear for Ring Of Honor on Saturday 3/13, and in the future. AJ's manager Bill Behrens added, "ROH is a good promotion, and I support it. In addition to AJ, nine of my Wildside regulars will appear for ROH on 3/13. The show must go on for the fans and the wrestlers, the people AJ referenced." Bill Behrens President National Wrestling Alliance Show Business, Inc. NWA Wildside Wrestling PO Box 941787 Atlanta, GA 31141 770-621-9533 " 2. I don't care what anyone reports...I don't believe that somebody (anybody) is going to completely back away from there business because they got caught doing something like this. Have they promised that he won't be making a penny off of them anymore yet?

The logic is that the year 2000 is the LAST YEAR OF THE MILLENIUM. The year 2001 was the first year of the new millenium. IT's a fact. The year 2000 millenium celebration stood in the contrast to MATH and the understanding of how thing work. December 31, 2000 was the last day, January 1, 2001 was the first. This is quite simple.

I can't figure out if the HHH/Benoit/HBK promo is supposed to make me think that HHH is winning or losing... They've made the ENTIRE THING about how poor HHH isn't going to win because it's 2 on 1... So he either overcomes like a face...or loses with an excuse...

5 Johnny Cash songs of some kind.

Well...I was wrong. The apologists came out a week before Mania instead of waiting until after.

Do Mosley/Wright and Mesi/Jirrov before Saturday...then let's see how it compares!

I know I was bummed that they chose to have 20 in MSG. I like the feel of the big arena WrestleManias so much better... and who celebrates a 20th anniversary anyway? Are they going to go back to MSG in 5 years for a real big anniversary like 25? Then not again until 50? Or are they just going to have ever one that ends in 0 at MSG? And if so...why? Since there is no Mania 0 the 20 year anniversary of the first show isn't until next year...

That is an excellent point about Eddie's win. The difference I see between the two is that the No Way Out match was Eddie's first real shot at the title...and there wasn't a month leading up to it of him looking like a fool. In fact...he pinned Lesnar heading into the match. Benoit, on the other hand...has his big opportunity at WrestleMania...and if he loses (after this past month of HHH standing over everyone to end shows)...I can't see why or how anyone would believe he can win the next month. Now...he would win...but try to sell that show... Not to mention the difference between Brock and HHH. No one was calling for Brock to drop that title...wheras HHH has been holding his on and off since it was created...with no one getting an advantage on him. What better place than Mania to end what has really been they're longest running storyline (HHH on top of Raw) I'd also imagine that Eddie's title win would have been tainted from what it was had he lost a title match at the Rumble the month before getting put over as Main Event material. Now factor in how big Mania XX is...yeesh. I still think Benoit may win...but things like this don't encourage me.

During an appearance on the "Dale & Neumy Show" on WEEI (850-AM) in Boston, John Cena revealed that he suffered some broken bones in his wrist during his match against The A-Train at the Smackdown Tapings last tuesday. He did say that he would still be working Wrestlemania against The Big Show for the WWE U.S. Championship. With Cena's wrist injured, the WWE may decide to keep him to a strictly non-wrestling role during the Smackdown Tapings tomorrow. Credit: PWInsider.com

The country may be polarized... But from where I sit it isn't half Kerry half Bush... I't shalf pro bush...half anti bush. Kerry is irrelevant.

What frustrates me a great deal is if HHH retains at WrestleMania... the apologists on this board will be out in force saying "They'll do it in Benoit's home town...it's better that way". LIKE ANYTHING could be better than winning it in the main event of WrestleMania. Come on Vince...put Benoit over!!!
