Yes. And with that...the wrestlers might as well keep getting paid and be locked in to staying in the States, where we can enjoy them more easily at indy events all over.
-
It's equally illogical to say that anyone else is coming to start a new promotion.
-
It isn't even logical to believe that someone would. WCW and ECW died in early 2001. TNA came about in mid 2002. NO ONE ELSE TRIED FOR OVER A YEAR IN BETWEEN. Hell...TNA didn't do the contracts until over a year in to their run...so no one else tried what you are talking about in over TWO YEARS.
-
Maybe I'm just confused as to who exactly TNA is keeping from becoming so big. What's the name of this promotion that is going to sign all these guys to contracts and challenge the WWE? Why haven't I heard of them? Oh...they don't exhist... You're expecting someone to show up one day with a TV deal and a load of money...to do everything exactly right...but they won't be able to use these wrestlers. I guess that clears it up. I guess all these guys should just be out of work during the week and go to Japan until this mythical ideal company that does not now (nor never has in the history of wrestling) existed arrives to save everything.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well...the second one would seem to be a benefit to RoH more than anything.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Brandon Truitt
It may have been the best Angel episode ever...but it was no "Out of Gas". -
I don't think the slap/hairpulling fest was a work. But I don't believe Teddy injured his leg either.

Punk and Teddy kick each other's asses legit
The Ghost of bps21 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Here's what Meltzer said: "The general consensus regarding last night's Teddy Hart last night are mixed. Because it is Hart, most we've talked to believe both things are a work. Others think the deal with Punk (a very brief altercation at the White Trash Cafe where Punk slapped Hart, Hart hit back and they were wrestling with each other for a few seconds until it was broken up by Sabu very quickly the afternoon of the show) may have been legit, and it put him in a bad mood. I've heard people in the company say they think the two worked the angle for ROH, but I'm skeptical of ROH's involvement because they've turned down all of Hart and Dave Penzer's ideas to do angles like this. Hart has a rep among the Calgary wrestlers for claiming injuries when he's in a bad mood. Mr. Aguila, who was in the ring with him when he suffered the knee injury that kept him out of the live TV match, was said to be adamant last night to the rest of the Mexican crew that Hart told him ahead of time the spot and that he'd do the knee injury from there. No doubt Hart's people will be denying this momentarily. " -

I don't get how it's a work. TNA didn't do anything with it. It'd be a great work heading into his RoH return though. -
I like Teddy Hart, but it is indeed your obligation, as that might be the greatest chant ever. It will be the best chant ever... So let's not forget who invented it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We should take this account and turn it into play by play as done by all the commentators we have to listen too. Tenay would talk about Jarrett half the time...and West would ask for replays. The RoH guys would call all the moves...then we'll throw the word DANGEROUS in somewhere. Perhaps when Hart starts weeping...or pulls the hair. JR/King writes itself...and includes no calling of action...or when calling a move always throw the word "modified" in front of it. Cole can give away the result before the fight is over. -
Oh...he also possesess zero break away speed. One time he got past the line of scrimmage...and a guy coming out of the bathroom managed to run him down before he hit the goal line.
-
Done and done. Just be prepared...Travis can't block, catch or hold on to the ball too often. But he runs hard...and comes real cheap!
-
Yeah, they broke up when they finally paid off the "who signed the contract with Jarrett" angle that ran for months. Swinger signed and attacked Diamond when he found out.

Things I liked: Styles/Abyss until the Luger walk in. The Chris Harris gauntlet was interesting...and I mean that in a good way for a change. Truth getting in Konnan's face after the loss. PLEASE DON'T TEASE ME!!!!! TURN HIM!!!!!!! TURN HIM!!!!!!!!! I enjoyed watching Michael Shane bump for Konnan's weak offense. don't ask me why. I just thought it was funny. The friend of ICP guy who cut a better promo than most of the roster...and put over the wrestlers better than even West can. Things I didn't like: Luger Diamond/Swinger was so not as good as it should have been. Russo explaining how he's changed and wants all wrestling...in the middle of a 20 minute promo. I like the angle...but I don't like the execution. I hate that Punk and Julio have jobbed the last two weeks.

I'll trade you Travis Henry for a cheap price. Don't deal with the Bills directly...I can get him to you on the sly.

Update from 1wrestling: According to a first-hand account, the incident between CM Punk and Teddy Hart started as Punk was leaving the White Trash Cafe, where the wrestlers eat prior to the show, and Hart was entering. Hart chest bumped Punk, to which Punk responded by telling Hart to knock it off and to wipe the smile off his face. Hart asked him to step outside, which Punk did. When they were outside, Hart raised his hand gang style and Punk slapped him. Hart began crying and swung at Punk who kneed him to the gut. As Sabu tried to intervene, Hart grabbed Punk's hair and punched him in the forehead. Punk knee-barred Hart to the ground. Sabu was able to break it up. As Hart got up, he explained that all he was trying to do was shake Punk's hand. As reported earlier, both men were talked to by TNA management. This is the first known incident of this type in the TNA locker room, which by all accounts is one of the most positive in the business. It is understood by all that nothing of this nature is tolerated and is grounds for the termination. While this is the first published report of CM Punk being involved in such an incident, it is nothing new for Hart, who continues to make a name for himself as a trouble-maker. Hart, as you recall, was unceremoniously ejected from the Ring of Honor locker room at their November 12th show for taking liberties in the ring with other wrestlers and the show itself. Interestingly enough, he has managed to make his way back onto their roster, at least for the time being. Hart all along has claimed that he is being groomed for a WWE contract. Most in the industy doubt the validity of this claim, as it is well-known that such behavior is not tolerated by anyone in the WWE.

We can do this for every character. That would be...neat. One word. Two Syllables. Ripper.

SPOILER...BUT Teddy Hart injury explained: "Teddy Hart suffered a knee injury during a match taped prior to Wednesday night's TNA pay-per-view event. Hart defeated Mr Aguila in a match that will air on the March 10 telecast, and suffered an injury that prevented him from appearing on the live broadcast. Hart was in a great deal of pain backstage and was treated by the TNA trainer. The injury is believed to be a muscle or ligament strain, and Hart is expected to be able to return to action after resting the injury for a few days" -1wrestling. Tough day for Teddy

If it were a work...wouldn't TNA have tried to...you know...mention it?

And he can finish things with Corino if he ever comes back (or should I say...if he sticks around after he's finished feuding with Homicide)
