Amen to that. This X Cup thing is the only thing TNA has done to make themselves different from WWE in any way.

Wait a minute. Am I to understand that Stuttering John can't do the Stern show in the morning...because he has to say around 4 lines in the middle of the day for Leno's show?

Oh yeah, this is one of the few games that makes me want to keep playing it because of the difficulty. Usually I just get frustrated and throw the controller...but this game makes me want to keep playing because it's so cool.

I have no problem with what their doing on Smackdown with the title. I fully expect Eddy to win at Mania...giving him wins over Brock and Angle in back to back shows.

I'm almost positive they'll do a Hart vs. Juvi rematch since their first match was much talked about. I'd almost prefer that they didn't, as well...since the elimination match will probably come down to them and then they could have a fresh pairing there.

I don't expect him to be treated like garbage either. I expect him to beat Shawn at Backlash, and then hold the title until HHH beats him for it at say...*looks at WWE calender* SummerSlam. That'll give him a nice 4 month run where he can defend against...oh wait...there are no heels on RAW

And ROH. That makes it an amazing week of wrestling for people going to that show. It seems that TNA will do something like this once a month. I don't think it will always be an X Cup thing...nor do I think it should be since it would probably get old pretty quick. But I think they'll be having some kind of special show once a month that will be more of a showcase for talent than storyline driven. They need to have stuff that people want to see those weeks because it is pretaped...and everyone can find spoilers. Plus...everyone can use a break from there storylines.

How is speaking out against the wrong thing irrational?

1wrestling says it won't be Harry Smith in the group. They say it's Johnny Devine. I don't know who that is...but I will say that it doesn't surprise me at all since Smith has said previously that he doesn't want to work TNA because he thinks it'll hurt his chances to get into the WWE someday. I don't understand his logic...but it makes sense that he won't be part of team Canada.

By company I'll assume you mean Smackdown. Because RAW's show is business as usual. Riddle me this Loss, when Benoit wins the title at Backlash...is HHH suddenly not going to be the top guy on the show anymore?

Your right Mike. So obviously the prooper thing to do is have Benoit pin no one and then job to HHH down the line. good call.

To be fair, Angle was already champ when 9-11 happened. Fortuitous planning, as it turned out. No he wasn't. He won the title a week and a half or so after 9-11 despite the feud pointing towards Austin winning before that. Then he had a two week run where he jobbed every match and then lost it back.

Just to dumb this down for my own amusement. In theory this means HHH will be putting over HBK AGAIN instead of Benoit. Then HBK will put over Benoit instead... and it'll all end with HHH beating Benoit...having never lost to Benoit. So Benoit's dreams of beating the best on the biggest stage of all are realized HOW?

Overpaid in relation to what? The players are the only thing that sells tickets. Lots of tickets are sold. Lots of money is made. Players deserve lots of money. You have to look at baseball as it is...a huge business. The workers deserve a large share of that business.

You know what bothers me today? ESPN.com in the NHL section has a poll for which game they should put on ESPN2 on whatever day it is...the games are New Jersey vs. New York or Toronto vs. Buffalo. AND New Jersey vs. New York is winning. Why? I can look at it from the angle where New Jersey is the most boring hockey team to watch in the history of hockey...or the angle that New York is just pitiful in spite of the "stars" on the team...or from the angle that Toronto and Buffalo almost always have great games...or that Buffalo is on a major roll... I just don't get it. I understand that there are more people in the New York/New Jersey area...but hockey fans have to recognize a boring ass game vs. an exciting game...don't they?

Oh come on. You know that Backlash is just as big an event as WRESTLEMANIA XX! Bigger even...since it's his hometown!

I don't even see how this game can be interesting without a cap. It's basically a game of who has the biggest bankroll and nothing more. That would be so much an easier sell if the last three World Champions weren't Florida, Anaheim and Arizona. Only Arizona had the "big name roster" stigma...and their payroll wasn't grossly high because everyone deffered money. People who make this salary cap argument love to ignore the things that don't help their cause. I hate the way the NFL does it. HATE it. So every team has a chance, every year? Where the fuck is the sport in that? If Carolina would have beaten New England...it wouldn't have had ONE TENTH of the meaning that there was when Anaheim beat San Fran, or Florida beat the Yankees. Why? Because someone new wins EVERY YEAR. When 2 SuperBowls in 3 years (and no playoffs in the year between) has people bringing up the word "dynasty" there is NO substance to the wins. At least not in relation to what it's like to defeat the "Evil Empire" in the playoffs. Football has great games. Baseball has legendary ones. Both had great playoffs...with many great games. But ten years from now people will still remember Yanks/Sox game 7 and Cubs/Marlins game 5. People won't remember the details of the NFL playoffs by this time next year. Football can have there cap. The NBA can have there cap. The NHL will have it's cap soon enough. Baseball doesn't need one.

He took his act from the Misc. Promotions folder to the TNA folder to the Puro folder. It's my bad that he wasn't dealt with sooner. I kept giving him more and more chances for no discernable reason. Mods don't frequent the Misc. folder enough to have seen his problems there right away. The fact that I let him go in the TNA folder for so long with just a warning was an obvious mistake. Then the complaints started coming from the puro folder and it was just too much.

Also...they gave a lot more time to the matches tonight overall...and less to talking... Which I for one approve of...because there talking is rarely interesting...and I feel like I've enjoyed myself more when there's always a match on.

I like what they're doing with the X Cup. There is the problem of who the fans will cheer for...but really...they'll cheer for spots. And Juvi. They always like Juvi.

If you want to get deeper into the story...than HBK winning is even worse. HBK has no claim on the title shot, cheapshots his way into the match, and is more focused on the man holding the title than the idea of winning the title itself. Benoit dreams of being champion on the biggest stage of all. HBK winning is bad for the children. Please, someone think of the children!

A win at Backlash is no better than Cena beating Taker on Smackdown, or Jericho beating HBK on Raw after losing the ppv matches.
