I know exactly when the train will derail. It's one of the next two fights. If he beats Jirov...he'll lose the next one because HBO will be going for the big money fight...and Mesi will get smoked by someone.
-
If he can't knock Jirov out there's no chance Mesi is going to win that fight. Jirov will be able to out point him. The only real plus for Mesi is that I don't think Jirov can knock him out...so he's got what he's got. I don't think Mesi is as bad as others. I don't think he's great...but you don't have to be great nowadays...you just have to be protected. All things considered...I'd rather he'd have fought Moorer.

There are a lot of exciting fighters out there...they just don't box in the heavyweight division. Actually...in March there should be a pretty good heavyweight fight between Joe Mesi and Vassily Jirov (moving up from cruiser) just because both guys will stand and throw and aren't very good at...you now...defense. That's on the undercard of Mosley/Wright on HBO...so that should be a good show.

I'd vote for the Red Sox...but we all know that's just not going to happen. I'll vote Angels because I am a homer...and they are my NEWWWWWWWWWWWW team.
-
I can already see Benoit's first post-main event feud when he gets demoted back to the midcard. Henry/Benoit II. This time it's personal!!!!!!!!!!!
-
They already are split up. Jones Jr. has the WBA Chris Byrd has the IBF Lewis has the WBC
-
So what's going to happen? Klitchsko (I don't know how to spell it) and Corrie Sanders are the top 2 contenders for that belt. Boy...does that match-up not excite me.
-
While WWE surely exploited him during his opening feud with Vince, I thought TNA was pretty good about it. Granted they didn't have as long to screw it up...but they'd bring him out, throw him in there, mention what a great story it was and let him have his match. That was with Russo too. I wouldn't mind seeing him again somewhere. Just not...you know...right away.
-
Naw, it was just the intrigue of seeing him. He was just as good the next week in a 6 man tag. He's the perfect face in peril. If there was a logical tag partner out there for him, I think that could work.

NO ONE CAN STAND UP TO THE NFL!!!!!!!!
-
I was blown away the first time I saw him. Mainly because they put him in with Roaddog and he totally outworked a man with two legs.
-
Gowen was interesting in TNA only because people had not seen him before. I can't imagine him being any use to anyone really now that everyone has seen him. He was only in TNA for 2 weeks...so no one got sick of him before WWE signed him.

Well...I'll disagree. Since I can't figure out why Panda bought TNA in the first place...I'll assume that continued loss of money isn't going to stop them. Besides, they're just starting to do things to try and get them press and working ideas to try and expand the product beyond what it is now (even though the 3 hour ppv and thinking about paying to be on Chicago TV is really kind of dumb). Nothing about Panda's relationship with TNA screams "Things must improve right away or else", on the contrary, Panda (for whatever reason) appears to be the most patient group in the world.

Velocity > Smackdown

That's my point. So there an energy company. Are they the smallest energy company in the world? They boast 160 employees. That barely beats a local grocery store. Where did all the money come from?
-
So, does this put an end to the Jackie/Stacy stuff on Raw? On the contrary...I'm betting that this all leads to a Stacy/Jackie vs. Sable/Torrie match at Mania.
-
Does anyone know what Panda Energy actually does? I went to the official site...and I'm no more informed than before. I did see that the Carter family runs the whole thing...and Dixie Carter isn't involved with the upper-management. I wonder if Dixie Carter is just some rich person who wanted to be involved in the wrestling business so daddy bought a company.

We have the opposite problem in Buffalo. We'll take anyone in the league who can score and turn them into nothing.
-
According to the list, Buffalo is more of a hockey city than a football city. *looks out window* I just don't see it.

It came from the Torch newsletter.

TNA has done many gauntlet for the golds in the past. In fact...the WWE is rumored to be stealing the idea that TNA used for a cruiserweight gauntlet where you have to pin the other guys instead of tossing them over the top rope for Mania. TNA did that back when London debuted.

WTF??? Weren't they first in the West a month or so ago? No, no there isn't. Other news: Flyers G Robert Esche is out 3 weeks with a sprained knee. Words cannot express the great sympathy I feel for the entire Flyers organization for that news. There are many rumors here in Buffalo popping back up for a Biron for Gagne trade. Biron has been phenomenal since Noronen got hurt...and if the Sabres are finally going to move one of their goalies (they also have Ryan Miller in Rochester...who should end up better than the other two) now would be the time. I'm not sure what's best for them. I've wanted them to deal a goalie for THREE YEARS now...but Biron has been better in the last couple weeks than he has EVER come close to playing IMO. Its possible that he's actually become a starting NHL goalie.

I don't understand why people like HBK. I don't think he's particularly good at anything...and his spot and the time he gets probably could have gotten 3 other people over since his return.

Marino resigns as Dolphins VP of football ops
The Ghost of bps21 replied to CanadianChris's topic in Sports
Translation: Marino shows up for first day of work ready to get started...and the rest of the front office told him his job was to reorganize the file folders and fetch them coffee. But he did get a nice fake title. -
The Bills finished below the Sabres.
