Hey...now we know why Axl Rose was thanked in the credits. Mystery (that only I cared about) solved.

As soon as Angle put JJ through the table with the Olympic Slam I knew they'd made a mistake. They went out and wrestled the main event...but there was still two matches to go. I really liked that match. The camera guys (who usually have horrible nights) actually caught a great shot for a change of a bloody JJ crawling into the ring after the Slam through the table. For once a picture actually did tell a story in TNA. Also...Sabin/Shelley was awesome. The crowd didn't care about it when it started (and who would they cheer for in this scenerio anyway?) but by the end they got them there. That's the mark of a good match.

I like this alot...but I won't look forward to Tenay and West screaming that STING LOST BECAUSE HE ASSOCIATED WITH THE MAIN EVENT MAFIA!!!! Every time he comes out.
-
I think the reason is that, at least from TV, even though it's for the title...the 6 man and JJ/Angle are being treated as the main events. I've got those in a split. I wonder what closes the show.
-
I have someone coming over to watch it so I had to order it. I'll be in another room for the show so I'll give my comments afterwards. Keep the thread going though!

I wonder how long they can hold out on Angle/Foley anyway? Ultimately, Foley's first singles matches should be against Angle, Joe, and Sting seperately. Anything else with him in a singles match is going to be a mistake. Long term maybe a Foley/Jarrett match, but something about that just sounds really horrible to me. He should work Sting first. They're styles will mesh better than the other 2.

I think the Sting/MEM storyline ends with Sting choosing to leave and denouncing their ways while earning respect for Joe/AJ and the Frontline. The perfect way to do it is to have Sting (still champion) tell them that he disagrees with them and that he's choosing to leave amicably...and then after shaking their hands to go his own way Angle and crew destroy him from behind. Everyone gets the right kind of heat there.

As a funny side note...did anyone listen to the Foley interview on WOL? He mentioned how when he signed with TNA he told Spike (who pays part of his contract) that tag matches were probably more his speed at this point (hence this 6 man). But then he said that he knows the day is coming where he's going to have to look across the ring and see Angle staring back at him for a one on one... It was hilarious listen to him try and figure out how he was going to keep up with Angle who works fast and hard every match at this stage of his career. Not something he seems to be looking forward to. He's gonna have to get into ring shape.

I think he's dead as a face. He should also beat the fuck out of Sting every single night until he loses the title because he can't get a title shot while Sting has it. That's how you rebuild Joe. Just have his character start doing things that make sense.
-
He should run in and take out the Frontline. Then cut a promo about how ever since they banded together all he does is lose and get his arm broken. Then he and AJ can have great matches...and he can stop being a fucking loser.
-
Oh fuck...I forgot KOTM. Damn it. They should move that to like...the ppv before one of those big shows and make it for a title shot. instead of for the title itself.
-
I wouldn't think Foley will wrestle again until one of the "big" TNA ppvs like Lockdown, Slammiversary or BFG. Although probably before BFG. ... I want Jarrett to get a title shot at Slammiversary. There's a random thought.
-
I guess I'm rooting for the Arizona Cardinals now. Unless Big Ben gets hurt and Leftwich has to play. I like me some Byron Leftwich.
-
That match is funny because I like both Sting and Rhino...but I'm just not feeling it when they're combined. It's really weird watching Sting wrestle faces every month. I think that's it.
-
Anywho... Jarrett/Angle was good last time and this time I'd like to see them up the violence. With the build it's had there should be blood. Sabin/Shelley should be all kinds of awesome. If they really are going out there to have a real X division match...this should be great. Shane/Bashir I'm excited for because I've loved the build. The Tag title match...I have no idea. There are 6 guys working 3 different styles that work in varrying degrees of success with one another. If Wild replaces Christy against Kong the match will be decent. Hopefully she doesn't win though... Sting/Rhino isn't being asked to do much...and it likely won't. This doesn't strike me as a match that Sting is going to bust his ass for like he did with Angle, Joe and AJ. The Foley 6 man will be the most interesting trainwreck of the night. We'll see how well AJ can hold together a match like this. And that new 6 man should be fun, forgettable popcorn wrestling.

" fortunately TNA isn't just adding more matches just for the sake of being able to give as much talent a ppv cut, as having seven matches here will give the matches more time, hopefully." Add LAX & Eric Young vs. Rave, Kiyoshi and Dutt in an elimination match. Which should be a fun little opener with Hernandez throwing people around. That never gets old.

Wow. Nothings going right for San Diego

I don't know what they're going to do with the Guns facing each other at the ppv. They could have one hell of a match...but we'll probably see one lay down for the other and maybe Homicide cash in his shot. In other news...Shane is the biggest star in the Impact Zone. I doubt he'll get much of a reaction in NC...but yeah...he owns all.

Games can be close without being exciting. Believe me, as a Bills fan I've watched tons of them. Flacco completed 3 passes in the first half and the game is tied. This is bad football.
-
It's ridiculously boring. When you don't care who wins a close game featuring ineptitude on one side and luck on the other doesn't inspire excitement.

This thread is now even more offtrack due to calling out Marvin for posting the pbp. Awesome. Anyway...I wish both these teams could just be eliminated today. These "Tough defensive struggles" that the NFL is trying to sell them as are just boring fucking football. Just like most of the games both of these teams played this year. ... The Ghost of bps21 2

I'm forced to root for the Titans just so Marvin doesn't have a week to gloat. ... The Ghost of bps21 1

Christy Hemme isn't wrestling tomorrow and they'll be a replacement challenger. So...what now?
-
If McCain had won I'd bet they would've been married between election night and the inauguration. Now there's no pressure.

Ryan Miller just stole a game against the Rangers that they had no business winning. He stopped 43 out of 44 and turned away all 3 shooters in the shootout. The Sabres played like absolute shit in front of him.
