The interview could be really interesting since he's been everywhere in his career. The oldschool matches are a nice addition. The TNA matches are pretty much all the same match with different opponents though. He literally spent the first 4 years of the company brawling in the crowd, hitting the finishing sequences, hitting someone with a guitar and winning.

I wonder what they're plan is on that. Last year they had a long stretch on the road and then threw the last 2 back in Orlando. The shows are just better when they're on the road...so it's a let down when they do one from Orlando.
-
The closest they've come to me is Detroit...which I actually drove to both times (their first house show and their first ppv out of Orlando). Well...they actually were closer in Ontario but that's Canada...and that's a whole different set of headaches.
-
Although I shouldn't complain. Vince just gave us an honest to God big title change. So that will keep me happy for a while.

I don't get why TNA won't come to Western New York. We support any kind of entertainment that comes here...and Dixie has been on our local wrestling radio show before talking about how they do good ratings in Buffalo. ECW did good business here and I have no doubt that TNA would draw well.

What's funny is I just realized that TNA has done the referee fighting angle before themselves with Dropkick Mike Posey (who was fired from WWE today which is why I remembered). That angle sucked though. My guess is this was an angle that they wanted to do for some time but decided to do something smart and find an actual wrestler to portray the roll so it could go somewhere. I give them credit for this whole angle. Sewell has been reffing for a pretty long time in TNA now so he was actually an established ref before they kicked off the angle...which isn't what they'd normally do.

Random observation: TNA has a fiercely loyal group of fans that get them around a 1.0 no matter what the occassion. They did a 1.0 on Christmas. They did a .95 on New Years Day with a best of show. And they did a 1.1 last night against the National Championship game. They know what they're bottom is at least.

Shane Sewell Alex Shelley Awesome Kong BONUS (1 pt): This is really hard since they'll all be at ringside from the start. Raisha. Jay Lethal & Consequences Creed BONUS (1pt): Roode Brother Devon & AJ Styles & Mick Foley BONUS (1pt): Styles Kurt Angle Sting

The people in that building are definitely into the top matches for the ppv. They went nuts for Foley's ups and they were quiet for Jarrett's downs. That last segment is probably the best go home segment they've done in a while.
-
Yes. Leave that shit to Hulk Hogan. Lethal Consequences, which it seems like they'll be using, would be like the 8th best tag team name ever. I didn't think anything of them until they did their post match interview and Creed said "The consequences..." and Machismo finished "Will be Lethal." That ruled.
-
Hey they're replaying the Best of show from last week. Neat.
-
I don't care how long Favre takes to make decisions. What I cannot stand is that ESPN will be covering it as a big story every fucking day until he does.
-
The definition of opportunistic is not barely surviving a 10 minute title match that you have to cheat to win against a guy in street clothes and his one legged partner. ...
-
Beer Money should win. Nothing could possibly make Creed and Lethal look like bigger idiots than that. They couldn't beat 1 guy quickly and now they're losing to one and a half guys. Not exactly a great looking duo for champs.
-
Well Foley managed to answer my question in storlyine. That should be a very good X title match. And it's been a long time since I've been able to say that.
-
I've seen him work a lot in Puerto Rico on the old sports station we used to have here. It's a totally different style that they worked there (much slower and bigger since they were running stadiums and not arenas) but he was a big star down there and he knows how to work.

Vanek has to be the only Austrian player to ever make the allstar game. I can't even name another austrian born player.
-
Though I'm in no way defending him, I agree with this statement. I can recall dozens of fights and scraps, but nothing notably dirty. Surely Emery couldn't have been entirely innocent in 2007. Peters is an asshole (see the golfing incident against Toronto that treble mentioned) and a terrible fighter (Emery would have smoked him if he wasn't wearing all the pads) but yeah...he squares up with everyone and doesn't take cheap shots. He should start though...he is a terrible terrible fighter.
-
Well that's shit. I watch players do that all the time and it's never called. They gave him the penalty well after the play when he was already being looked at by trainers. So they called a penalty on a guy for something they don't call penalties for, after he got bit...but no penalty for the bite?
-
Or it could have been the fact that he tried to gouge Ruutu's eye out beforehand. Not that I care what happens to that piece of shit anyway after he tried to beat up our goalie 2 years ago. He should get penalties for just stepping onto the ice. Well that was Ruutu's story. The league disagreed and suspended him for 2 games. I'm not saying he didn't bite him. I'm saying Peters certainly wasn't the innocent bystander there. He wasn't trying to gouge anyones eyes. He was giving him a facewash just like every single player does every single whistle. Peters has no reputation as a dirty player.
-
Yes he did. And that was probably his only good moment as a Sabre.

Then you know as well as anyone that quantity always beats quality. This is TSM. Where the last person to post is king. -

How long have you been here? This is a silly question. -
The episodes were a lot slower moving than I was expecting. I liked the first one more than the second, and the scene with JD and Cox in the cafeteria was tremendous.
