The absence of the second half transitional champ
The Ghost of bps21 replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in The WWE Folder
And who's fault is that? That was my point. The post wasn't to say "Put it on someone new just because"...it was to say "Why don't they book new people into top positions?" -
Oh...I'm also fascinated by the mindset of the company. AJ Styles loses the title...Let's push him as the best guy on the roster NOW! honestly, I think being able to follow the whole thing on 2 hours a week is a upside for me.

Cena shouldn't be put into another title match until they are ready to put the title on him. I honestly feel that no one on either roster has more potential to be the next breakout star than Cena...so the last thing he needs is another loss in a boring match to Brock.

*Thumbs Up* And my favorite lyric from that song: "You know, I wouldn't want to be you...now there's a hell I can't describe" or perhaps... "What I thought was beautiful, don't live inside of you anymore" Man...I love that song.

I can sum it up for me in one sentence. Because no matter how over someone like The Truth got...or how good someone like AJ Styles is...They would NEVER even be a serious contender for the WWE title.

"If you are looking for the WWE Ultimate Ric Flair Collection DVD set and can't find it, you aren't alone. The entire first printing run of the three volume set dedicated to the former NWA, WWF and WCW World champion has sold out in two days, making the release one of the most popular and profitable in WWE history.. "It's incredible," said one retail source. "We've sold four times more than we usually do for WWE DVDs, and this has only been out for two days." Sony is rushing another printing out, but it won't be available for shipping until next week. If you are looking for the DVD and come across it in your local store, don't pass it up. You may not be so lucky if you go back for it later. The collection features complete classic matches against Ricky Steamboat, Terry Funk, Harley Race, Sting, and Barry Windham as well as Flair's complete 1992 Royal Rumble victory"

Can I just send in highlighted names off the roster list? Those would count as fuck ups, right?
-
Styles/Abyss was great. It was even booked well so it didn't cut both guys legs off as the main events have been doing lately.

Jarrett/Hart shoot angle on radio show
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Styles's topic in TNA Wrestling
And what angle is he promoting again? The one angle they have with a name that people DO know? -
But I have seen every event up to August 9, and attended the one in Spencerport...so I think I am qualified to give any opinion I want to on RoH, thanks.
-
This has nothing to do with Arod not being the best player. This has to do with the simple MEANING of the award. A player who drives in one run on a winning team is more valuable to that team than a guy who drives in a million for a losing team.

The degeneration of modern music...
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in Music
I blame Nirvana. Spoiled rich kids using their parents credit cards to buy Nirvana CDs and flannel shirts so they could join the "look at me, I hate you because I'm so depressed" movement, all while the economy was at a strong point. The world just couldn't be good after that. -
My best buy didn't have it today.

Jarrett/Hart shoot angle on radio show
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Styles's topic in TNA Wrestling
For MONTHS we complained (and rightly so) that TNA did NO advertising. This is advertising. -
blasphemy. Everyone shall wrestle the same, and how good they are shall be determined by how little they vary from the correct way.

Jarrett/Hart shoot angle on radio show
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Styles's topic in TNA Wrestling
Becaues TNA did it. -
If that match had happened in RoH we'd have been treated to commentary on the tape proclaiming it a sleeper MOTYC 3 minutes in.
-
Most narrowminded: Nirvana fans. No one with normal minds could think THAT is good music.

but the award ISN'T FOR BEST PLAYER. And I can't understand how ANY player regardless of how good their personal stats may be...can be MORE valuable to a team that LOSES than a player with decent stats is to a team that WINS. from the same article: "OK, here's a little game for you. These are the stats of two top-five finishers in the MVP race after July 1. Which is which? Player A: 27 HR, 67 RBIs, 12 doubles, 4 triples, .642 slugging pct. Player B: 27 HR, 65 RBIs, 17 doubles, 2 triples, .661 slugging pct. Before we reveal the names, which would you vote for if we told you Player A's team was already 21 games out of first place -- and 15 ½ out of the wild card -- when that stretch began, while Player B's team was only 3 ½ out of first and hanging onto the wild-card lead by 1 ½? Well, Player A was Alex Rodriguez. Player B was Boston's David Ortiz. We're not suggesting that Ortiz is a better player than A-Rod, or that he's a clear-cut MVP, or that you ought to write in his name in your local presidential primary. We're just suggesting there were players other than A-Rod who made a significant impact down the stretch on not just their own numbers, but on the pennant races. And that's what MVP's do."
-
Of the 26 players besides A-Rod who got a vote, only two -- Anaheim's Garret Anderson and (hold your chuckles, please) Tampa Bay's Aubrey Huff -- played for teams with losing records. They finished 14th and 26th, respectively -from an ESPN article
-
No you can't be valuable on a losing team. That's backwards thinking. The team could have had a losing record without him.
-
the award if for the player who is deemed most valuable to his team. When your team is out of the race by MAY you have NO valuable players. You can have great players, and ARod is the best of the best. But he's no more valuable than any other player on the losing team.
