You are being too negative AS. ... Angle and Brock had a beautiful love...

Near me...FYE puts them out early half the time (no such luck this time though) Media Play puts them out on time Best Buy puts them out late half the time.
-
Media Play is having a midnight madness tonight since it's LOTR/Britney release day. The problem is that I KNOW they won't bother putting out the Flair DVD. I'll go look anyway...but I just know.

As a matter of fact...what would have made the most sense would have been Jericho having to overcome a disadvantage (like Jericho last on his team with 2 or 3 people on the other side...you could have had Orton RKO RVD on the way out to make it more even than that though and still start their probably program) because he believed SO much in the cause. But Jericho's a heel so the WWE wouldn't do it. They can't think outside the box...and in recent years the box keeps getting smaller.

The movie isn't just a baseball movie. I don't know why there are so many people in this world that would dismiss it as such, or Buffy as a silly show about vampires, or Searching For Bobby Fischer as a movie about chess. I'll just never understand.

I started to tear up just at the line being written right there.

1. I think Mike Sanders is funny on the mic 2. Raven can't carry anyone...but he's so smart about how a match should be layed out that he puts his opponent in the position of REALLY having to blow it to have a bad match. Vampiro blew it...and it sucked. Styles used it and it rocked. 3. Everytime Mike says RVD doesn't get a reaction when you can clearly see and hear that he does (and YES that means during the match too) I wonder why he keeps going out on that limb and sawing it from the tree when he obviously wants to have his other (IE: Valid) opinions heard. 4. I guess TNA is really desperate to keep Sting around. On one hand...I get it (he's the biggest name that hasn't worked for Vince...and therefore not a "WWE reject") On the other...the next interesting thing they do with Sting will be the first in...oh...6 years?

Maybe I just don't understand what the letter V in MVP stands for.

The downfall for Jerry Lynn was when they started bringing people into the X division who could wrestle and not just spot. A Lynn led match was better than a Kid Kash/Red spot match every week. Now it's the other way where Sabin and Daniels are in Lynn's spot in the division...and they're both better and more fun to watch.
-
Maybe it was just that I had heard so much about it before seeing it. It just took a long time for me to get into the match. And when I can't get into a match (or movie...or book...or anything) pretty quickly I have a hard time getting into it.

Just yesterday I was looking through the NWA history and it turns out that this goes back much farther than this. Apparently, back in the day, they used to do this all the time! In fact I found references to guys named Race, Thesz and Flair where they constantly won the title back after dropping it. Clearly this is Jarretts fault.

Haven't come back to the thread since I posted. I don't know. I watched the thing and it just didn't work for me. I almost felt like it got extra praise because it went 40+ minutes...but I thought a lot of it was just slow. I was pretty bored for a good part of that 40 minutes...and I haven't gotten bored at many other RoH matches...none that I can remember. I just kept waiting for something to happen.

"New Jack called and threatened to make Jason his fifth justifiable homicide if he didn't take back what he'd said about Raven being the first guy to push a shopping cart with weapons to the ring." I just think this is great
-
Let me get this straight. The little that they do already have planned for the show...ALL of it is just to benefit Vince/Austin/Stephanie? Super.
-
I wouldn't pay Lynn anywhere near what I'd pay Styles. Not even close. It was the Super X Cup that did it too...Juvi/Hart and Sabin just exposed Lynn for being incredibly overrated with his punch/kick/punch/kick offense. If they moved him out of the X division it would be better...but they've never tried it.
-
I just saw it a couple days ago for the first time...and I was pretty underwhelmed by it (London/Dragon).
-
How did Styles get that belt in the first place again? This isn't like HHH going over everyone that gets the littlest pop.
-
We can't let that happen before we have Jarrett go over Punk and/or Raven. Dear God, don't let THAT argument seep into this thread. It's also an extremely baseless claim.
-
I'd also like to say that when I think of Raven and Punk...I think about what it means to HAVE MIC SKILLS. Here's what I mean: Raven and Father Mitchell carried a whole long program based on their ability to cut promos. Raven feuded with Douglas/Mitchell/Slash/Sinn/Vampiro for MONTHS and it was always over. Same goes for Punk's amazing promos in RoH during the Raven feud. Compare that to the WWE, where you supposedly need mic skills to get pushed...but the writers write such shitty promos that it doesn't matter. It irritates me that RVD can't get pushed because he "can't talk" when the WWE never has feuds based on strong from the heart mic work anyway.
-
My friend also suggested that Julio should follow Punk now. That would be an interesting way to go.
-
I really wanted Raven to pick Julio to be his partner this week. The problem with Raven vs. Punk in TNA is that Julio is still floating around. Now...I like Julio...but he's out of place now. Although...I can see Punk destroying Julio en route to Raven at some point. Unless Raven and Dutch really want to work everyone into just thinking that Punk and Raven are on a collision course...they sure are making it seem ineviteble the last couple weeks.
-
Straight Edge could work in Nashville. Straight Edge is one of the best storylines I've seen in a long time. But...wouldn't anyone else like to see Punk do something different?
-
Well...I judge american wrestlers in the three important categories in N. American wrestling. 1. Ability to draw money 2. Ability to talk 3. Ability to have great matches. RVD doesn't fit the top tier of any of those. Austin fits ALL of them. Hogan drew money... Flair would finish second on my list I guess.
