The Observer update today says that this show will actually air on New Years Day. The Christmas Night show will be a best of 2008. I watched 2008. The show should be the MCMG vs. Speed Muscle, The X Cup Gauntlet match, and the build for Joe/Angle at Lockdown. That is all...unless they want to reair Global Impact for the first hour...that is all.

I appreciate the developers sense of humor in constantly reminding you that it's giving you the easiest gamerscore ever.

You had the misfortune of catching the one game a month that Ryan Miller plays like an elite player. Now that that's out of the way for December...I expect Montreal to beat him early and often tonight.

Ricky Gervais? Of all of the celebs out there...he makes the cut? Where do you even find Ricky Gervais unless you're actually looking for him anyway?

My point is really that, for better or worse, we now have 5 briefcases in play a year between the 2 companies. And anyone who isn't fired who doesn't win a title is a fucking idiot. We've all seen how to win titles using this gimmick. No WWE guy has lost it for Petesake. I just want to point out the fucking retards who couldn't win titles that were handed to them. The James's, Steiner, and odds are completely on Hernandez... You look like damned fools for not being able to seal a deal that even CM Punk could figure out.

Or Martin Lawrence comedy classic Black Knight for that matter.

Edwin fucking killed that dead, didn't he? Damn...that was just getting good.

Just have someone else play the stupid roll. Kaz is one of the few younger (and I only mean younger by comparison to the top guys) guys in TNA to get himself over to a respectable level above the other guys that are pretty much just like him. So TNA, of course, takes him off TV and puts a mask on him. Genius.

According to PWInsider.com: In a bit of the "good news/bad news" department for TNA, the company's mobile text messaging service revealed today that former TNA Tag Team champions Hernandez and Homicide, LAX, have signed for three years as part of a new deal with the company. I'm not sure about Homicide, but Hernandez' deal was set to expire next month. They are signed through 2011. On the other side of the coin, TNA sources confirmed that Frankie Kazarian suffered a biceps injury at the Monday Night Impact tapings while appearing as the new masked character Suicide. The severity of the injury is still to be determined. Kazarian had just returned from triceps surgery at the Final Resolution PPV. ... Good for TNA on Homicide and Hernandez. I'm really hoping that their cases are the beginning of bigger and better things for them. With the top guys (Christian, Sting, Angle) either gone, going, or retiring sooner or later, hopefully they get pushed up. Sucks to be Kaz.

I maintain that if any briefcase holder doesn't take advantage of an injured champion they are a fool. Petey Williams, Lethal and Creed, Punk and Edge x2 were all right in their choices. The idiots were the Armstrongs for taking their shot on a fresh AJ and Tomko. RVD was an idiot too...but outside interference got him through. Steiner was the biggest fool of all. He cashed in his briefcase on a fresh Joe...and the match got turned into a 3 way which he didn't win. Idiot.

I believe...one match. If we count this one.

Also... Glamour Boy Shane finally hits the ring at Genesis!!! YAY!!!!
-
He's mostly an agent now. But since he's still there they'll throw him out there when they need a body. Like for Feast or Fired (where he was really one of the only people along with CurryMan who could get fired and it wouldn't be dumb) or to get taken out by Angle here.

Jason Peters making the Pro Bowl is hilarious. He was SOOO bad the first half of the year after his holdout. He's turned it around in the last month...but that has nothing to do with him making it. He was just brutally bad.

I never saw the Flair match that was supposed to be good. The Edge match was great...but it was a real long time ago and from the looks of it...many many meals.

If I had any faith in TNA being able to book this correctly, I'd actually like what they've done with Foley here. The MEM took out two Frontline guys the previous two weeks, and Foley returning to the ring to stop them works. There's also the thing where Foley hasn't worked a match in a long time...and a good singles match in even longer...so he'll be protected here. I assume that the plan is Foley/Angle at some point in the near future...so this is all just leading to that anyway. But I'd really rather see Foley vs. Alex Shelley.

I love this show. I hope that more people are watching it than is represented in this thread. It's a really fun hour of TV every week.

I watched it the first time without headphones (just out of my laptop speakers) and thought it was a good but not great reaction. Then I watched it with headphones on and god damn..the crowd exploded. And I cried. Everyone in my section was kind of looking around for how Hardy WASN'T going to end up getting the three count...so no one really reacted until the hand dropped the third time. I've never been around so many people who were so sure a guy wasn't winning that it was a legit shock/happy pop when he did. Even I didn't think he was going to win until he actually did. Even though all of the promos during the show were for this match and not Cena/Jericho. Even though it went on last. I didn't really think WWE would pull the trigger on Hardy...and if they did...I didn't think it would be at Armageddon in shitty Buffalo. There was a moment when I thought Hardy was going to win, and then Kozlov knocked him off the top rope. That's when I turned to my friend and said "the lesson is...don't do drugs". That was such a brilliant tease spot. Once Kozlov had HHH out of the picture it looked like nothing was stopping Hardy...but then he was stopped again.

Marshall singing Lets go to the Mall was hilarious.

There were so many kids at this show. That's the first thing I have to say. SOOO many fucking kids. Which is good for WWE...but bad for my head. I was rooting for Hardy since they were going on last and that upped his chances...but the little shit next to me was SOOO annoying that I decided to root against him. I can tell you this with 100% certainty: The crowd didn't believe that Hardy had a chance in hell of winning that match. They did a few set up finishes where if you thought a step or two ahead you could see Hardy winning...and no one reacted. Zero confidence in the guy. Cena/Jericho, Hardy/HHH/Edge and Punk/Rey were all really good. Orton/Batista...you could have heard a pin drop at any point in that match. The neverending Orton headlock didn't help. Show was really well paced though. I went with a friend who doesn't watch wrestling...so I was trying to explain some things to him as they happened...but there was a few times (Khali kiss cam, the freaks in the back segment) where it occured to me just how ridiculous what I watch is.
