That's a definite concern...but even their fan regulars can't fill the Asylum for (mostly) free every week. This is Hogan's job to fill the arena, and the advertisers too obviously. Given his recent record of drawing...it's about as big a gamble as you can take. TNA needs to get Sting to do a match there too to help draw a crowd.
-
It won't be at the Fairgrounds though. Maybe they'll move it farther north.
-
Kansas City just beat the only team that I thought had a shot at beating them at home.
-
Here ya go. 300,000 (we'll just throw that number in) for WWE 25,000 (we'll say average) a week for TNA. So they're doing about a tenth the number of the usual (IE: Non supercard WWE ppvs). If you look at the whole month together...TNA probably does somewhere under a third of the buys WWE does in one show.
-
I said give me a minute. I think I left out a zero.
-
Wait a minute. Ignore those numbers I screwed it up. Give me a minute

A Christmas Story is the single most overrated movie ever. Well...maybe the Matrix is now...but it's still a terrible movie that isn't funny...and I don't know how it became such a big thing.

That's NOTHING. Last year. Week 2. Bills vs. Vikings. Game was back and forth all day and it went into OT. AT least that's what I SAW. What I heard was Randy Cross putting over the Vikings so hard that they should have been up 100-0 at that point. At one point, Randy Moss made a pretty decent catch...nothing spectacular by any stretch...and Cross called it thusly: "NO MAN WITH TWO HANDS SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE THAT CATCH!!!" Vikings lost in OT.

Go Cubs!!!!

I'd have to look it up. But I don't know where to look... I know the recent ones have all done disapointing numbers...but it still about 100+ times more than a TNA show.
-
They shouldn't even concern themselves with the WWE's numbers at this point. They should just thank God that they found Panda...use this time to get comfortable in their own shoes and then start growing a fan base.

I liked HHH/Mick. Mick was headed out. He should have put him over like that. Anyone retiring should. Well that was the one case that HHH's opponent being dead in the water after feuding with him worked storyline wise. In retrospect...they created a monster.

When is Kill Bill part 2 coming out? I think I'll wait too. Maybe pick up the ineviteble "in its entirety" DVD release -
HHH feuds since 1999.
-
Also...do you think they'll hold the show somewhere closer to the north to make sure Hogan doesn't get booed? They should do it in Canada and book Teddy Hart. They need to put on multiple good-great matches on the undercard.
-
Well in that case it's RVD all night and day. He was hot for a long long time...much of which was spent going backwards (Jericho to HHH to Hogan...) instead of blazing forwards.
-
It's not RVD and Booker's fault that the booking commitee chose for them to loses their title matches.
-
There is something to be said for this. Even the absolute pinnacle of the lowest common denomenator that the WWE plays towards... Knows what's coming when HHH wrestles.
-
I don't like Hulk Hogan. Everyone knows this. The idea of a 3 hour ppv is a good one, IMO...but they should have just used Sting... Hey...maybe Styles can go over Sting on that show.

Nintendo loses money for first time...EVER!!!
The Ghost of bps21 replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in Video Games
On one hand...I agree with you 100% BUT As a game fan...Nintendo is easily the least gamerfriendly to me. They won't do Online, they lose their third party support and their first party games (while I still think they are great) just don't come out quick enough leaving HUGE voids in my Gamecube playing/purchasing plan. I have a GBA too...so I support the Big N... But XBox has 90% of the future releases that excite me. -
Sox fans should be asking where Manny and Ortiz have gone. This game should have been over long ago with the A's shooting themselves in the foot over and over. If Lilly (who's a good pitcher) can't be beat by this "powerhouse" Boston Offense...then they're just super screwed when Hudson and Zito (who are great pithers) come back at them. *If necessary

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Well...it didn't help matters that Carpenter was pregnant... And I totally thought the Dixie Chicks poster was just a comedy bit within the scene. Nothing more.
