He was supposed to be bland. Bland and Big. Bland so he could be the most borish ordinary lame guy in the world (something that was absolutely NEEDED in between relationships with Spike and Angel) and Big so he could appear physically capable of his role in the initiative. Season 5 Riley's slow fall into madness was played very well IMO by Blucas.

Riley gets an unfair shake. You have to look at him less as the guy who replaced Angel as Buffy's love interest... and more of a study in a good guy trying to live in Buffy's world. Where he starts and where he ends up as a result is one of the more interesting things they've done on Buffy.

Punk, IIRC from another article DID sign a contract but he forced TNA to compromise on certain issues (like the whole "streamlining" storylines between the other indys which was a MAJOR problem with Punk more than anyone). I know I read that he had worked that out with them...so I assume he's signed too. On Hogan...the only thing I've seen is that no one really knows how the meeting went for sure...but no one would be surprised if he came in for a one shot deal and then they'd see.

Styles got him over once...and Disco was able to hold it for roughly 2 and a half whole weeks. Of course his big match was 3 weeks later...so it was all for naught.
