That's the Brock vs. RVD theory. RVD super over...not pushed. Brock not over...Super Push. Took Brock a while to get over. He won the title at SummerSlam and that day he got h eat for the first time. Wrong kind of heat...but at least they reacted.
-
There actually was an attempted murder on January 7th of last year when without explanation he went from feuding with Jericho over the Undisputed title to curtain jercking against Test...then last 2 minutes in the Rumble...then wen't directionless for 2 months.... But it took all the way until that match at Unforgiven last year to finally kill his heat.

RVD can't draw money now...no one will question that. The thing of it is they blew their window to create a new main eventer that was fresh, over, and on fire at the end of 2001. Opportunities like that hardly EVER come along. And they passed.

I liked Pitt in it. That's all I got.

"Sometime soon, Rob has to evaluate whether getting all the internet smarks on his side is worth sacrificing his WWE career for." I think his point in all these interviews is that his WWE career has been cut off at the balls anyway.

That seemed more like an open ended comment. Or one directed at Hogan

Weekend Box Office Report - 8/15/03 - 8/17/03
The Ghost of bps21 replied to a topic in Television & Film
1. I liked the movie and was really looking forward to it...but still predicted it wouldn't make near that much. It has NOTHING to do with liking the movie...it has to do with how poor the box office for the last movies in each series had done. 2. You'll see a sequal come out FAST. The opening weekend already outgrossed many of the previous movies from both series. Here's some stats I foung at the internet movie database about the American Gross vs. the $36,425,000 opening by this ond: Friday the 13th: $39,754,000 Friday the 13th 2: $19,100,000 Friday the 13th 3: $36,200,000 Friday the 13th 4: $32,980,000 Friday the 13th 5: $21,300,000 Friday the 13th 6: $19,472,057 Friday the 13th 7: $19,170,001 Friday the 13th 8: $14,343,976 Jason Goes to Hell: $15,935,068 Jason X: $12,610,731 Nightmare on Elm Street: $25,504,500 Nightmare on Elm Street 2: $30,000,000 Nightmare on Elm Street 3: $44,793,200 Nightmare on Elm Street 4: $49,369,900 Nightmare on Elm Street 5: $22,168,359 Nightmare on Elm Street 6: $34,872,293 New Nightmare: $18,090,181 This doesn't take inflation into account...but the opening weekend of Freddy vs. Jason whooped the ass of many of the previous films TOTAL US Gross. -
I still don't get why you wouldn't believe Raven. No one in indys makes more per show then him...and it's not like he EVER got ppv payoffs. Raven was eating the downside guarantee of a low end contract. RVD makes some money. Raven did not.

So he was getting really upset around Mania 19... And he likes to write... And Willy the Worker is...

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

A Buffy RPG would make sense. And rule the earth as well. -
If they were to release Heyman
The Ghost of bps21 replied to cynicalprofit's topic in The WWE Folder
I like Heyman a hell of a lot better than I like Russo... but they'd never give him the book in TNA because he's not Jarrett's friend, Russo is. Between the booking philosophies of Jerry, Jeff, Russo and Heyman...that would just be one more hand in an already overcrowded cookie jar. -
on the plus side they'd have gotten James and Konnan too... "Konnan, BG James and Ron Killings, known as Three Live Crew in TNA, filmed a vignette on 07.23 in the "hood". The 'Crew actually did go to a rough neighborhood to shoot the segment. There was an incident where the guy they approached had heat on him and made a threat, believing the TNA crew was from "Cops" or another reality news show. Needless to say, the wrestlers and camera crew were thrilled to get out of that neighborhood after the vignette was finished. credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter"

There were 3 Vengeance commercials that ran throughout WWE programming advertising 3 matches. 1. Angle vs. Lesnar vs. Big Show 2. Vince vs. Zach 3. Stephanie vs. Sable. It was McMahonMANIA running wild all over Vengeance. And I know that I for one was real excited about the Brock/Angle match...until they added the Big Show. It turned out good...but didn't exactly make me want to order.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7
The Ghost of bps21 replied to The Dames's topic in TSM Classic Threads
Um...where did you hear that? Buffy was a great game with a great engine. It would be wierd for a game that got universal losey reviews (Bruce Lee) and a game that pretty much got universal very good reviews (Buffy) to use the same engine. -
They should throw the Dudleys/French guys match on Heat. Chrisitan will just have to be S.O.L. since Booker's injury forced a quick change. There is no way Shelton Benjamin and that guy he carries in the team should miss SummerSlam. (Yes I know his name)

Train can wrestle, talk, and not injure someone
The Ghost of bps21 replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
I like the match...but at the time there were a ton of snowflakes being thrown out. The first problem was that the first several minutes (before the commercials) were sloppy and all over the place. After that there was some real nice stuff though. -
I like Vick... but Jesus Christ...the NFL analysts were talking like it was the death of the league when he wen't down.

Hamburglar...while I agree that the Backlash match sucked and that the ladder match was way overrated... RVD vs. Eddy at Judgment Day was the BEST RVD match Ever. -
I thought he was hilarious in that movie. He was making a Halloween movie over twenty+ years after that meant anything to anyone...and he just looked like he was having a ball with it. Picture someone who wasn't that into the job playing that part. It could have been so boring and made the movie even worse. Instead he was entertaining in a very important role that made me laugh a bunch of times.

You know...maybe I overstated when I said she was terrible. She was terrible at delivering dialogue... BUT I never sat there and thought "Hey...there's the girl from Destiny's Child" and then got hung up on it. I kind of bought her as her character...which is hard to do when you are well known. ahh...I didn't go to Freddy vs. Jason for the acting and everyone knows that.

That's a really good point. *Bruisers first post*

Oh...and if Justin Timberlake or Britney Spears were in a horror movie I'd wager that the bloodlust would go up tenfold...so I doubt this has ANYTHING to do with skin color. It has everything to do with "You don't belong in this movie. Die"
-
I remember this exact conversation taking place a while ago when Rowland was announced for the movie and everyone said they wanted her to die. There is NOTHING to read into that CJ. Straight up it's because LL Cool J survived in his Halloween movie and because Busta survived in the next one. It's as simple as people not liking that they always survive. Now...the LL one I agree that he should have died...I mean he was shot in the HEAD. Busta should have lived though...he was the only good thing in that movie. Rowland was terrible in the movie.

RVD TALKS ABOUT POLITICS IN WWE
The Ghost of bps21 replied to humongous2002's topic in The WWE Folder
RVD is going to have another interview coming up with no DQ. Here's whay *I* don't get. Since for some reason RVD has become the biggest basher of the WWE of the people still working there (because...you know...no one else says ANYTHING)... Why do they keep letting him do interviews? Do they want him to go to far so they can have a reason to job him out? -

I do know that the RVD/Bam Bam Bigelow match from ECW blows anything Train did away. But Bigelow was alot better than Balls.
