Honestly, as a major proponent of megathreads, I would post in the multiple threads if they existed. I mostly just browse around looking for something to react to as it is... but that folder is hard to figure out what topic is worth starting a thread for. If we pull out of Iraq...sure. If we double down in Afghanastan...sure. If the economy collapses altogether and we're selling our internet service for bread...sure. But stuff like staff speculation and bailouts in theory and proposed health care...those threads would dry up so fast you'd be left scrambling for the search feature if you wanted to make a comment.

And yet...now the replacement thread, with much dumber name, is on page 14 in a week...with less focus and a time limit to expire conversation on inauguration day. Yeah...much more solid ideas have come.

Cheech whining about the Campaign 2008 thread was worse, still, than the thread itself.

He dropped it a little in this past weeks promo. I think the deal is he does that (stops using the accent) when he gets angry. It didn't make sense when he was doing it before...and it makes even less sense now. Angle, Nash and even Sting have their serious faces on...Book should drop that accent and just play it straight. ... Also...Sting fucking rules right now. I've always liked Sting in the, hey...it's Sting kind of way. But I just dig his promos, I dig his suit, I even dig him as Champion. You know they're gonna turn on him when things start going poorly, and he can get his last big face run...and I think it's going to work. I thikn they've figured out that he should be left as the tweener out there. Let people cheer, let the minority boo...when the time comes for him to move back to superbabyface Sting I think the crowd will be there, and they'll care more about him than they have in years. Hell...I'm pretty sure they already do. Sting is the man.

I like that idea. Cornette could use his difficulties as the head of TNA as the catalyst for turning on the younger guys. Plus...Cornette promos rule.

If Booker lays down, Christian doesn't have to join the MEM. Though he did just offer Christian the belt if he'd join the MEM before the match but the announcers didn't notice. Yeah...I meant why doesn't Christian lay down. My bad

There are a lot of problems with this match. Christian doesn't want the title he's competing for... And Booker WANT'S Christian to have to join the MEM... So why wouldn't Booker just lay down?

I love Beer Money...but the Guns need to win the titles tonight and go off and do whatever it is that they are doing as the dickholes of the youg guys team. It seems like there is a really interesting storyline hanging there for the Guns as the guys that actually ARE the disrespectful punks that Sting has tried to label everyone of the young guys as.

I actually have no doubt that at the end of the feud (...not tonight) that Joe and AJ will stand as the winners. But they don't really do anything to make you think they belong on that level right now. Joe was just World Champion for the last several month. AJ was a 3 time Champion. Right now they are portrayed as these worth nothing kids. Which would be fine if it was about Lethal and the Guns... But Joe should be portrayed as on the same level, if not above, of Angle and Sting. And AJ should probably be even higher...but it is what it is.

The fact that they openly call the Main Event Mafias' opponents "The Kids" does not fill me with excitement.

I've decided to rant a little. A good friend of mine, who is ultra-republican, spent a good portion of last night bitching about the election and the horrible times that we are about to face as a result...and what made it intesting is that he didn't have ONE bad word to say about the last 8 years. Not one. Now he bitched about Clinton policies, and Obama things that haven't happened yet...but he seems to think that the last 8 years have been just fine. So...for no ones benefit but my own mindset... You know what the biggest problem with the Bush administration was? It wasn't the policies that lead us to the brink of econominc depression... It wasn't a war built on a lie that cost thousand's of lives... It was his complete and utter inabilty for forward thinking. Now, everyday we hear about "alternative energy" like we just fucking invented the idea. Where was this concept in government the last 8 years? Nowhere near Bush and Cheney...who are oil men... And the Stem Cell research thing drives me nuts. Let's not experiment to cure FUCKING EVERYTHING...why? Who knows.

The Impact Zone has started to cheer all of the faces...except Joe. And whoever Sting is facing.

The FIRST thing I said to my best friend as we watched election night (and he voted for Nader for the 3rd time) was that I COULD NOT wait to have a President who understood that not supporting stem cell research made us backwards and retarded. It's 2008, not 1920. It's time we had someone with some forward thinking. Being behind ENGLAND with all of our money and resources was a goddamned embarrasment. ... Or as the Bush republicans would call it...Thursday.

You know...it's such a meaningless thing... But I really liked what happened to Volador there. He was on fire...and got an elimination...but it's a 10 person match and staying in is just fucking stupid. He deserved to be eliminated.

This Sting/AJ match is such an afterthought. Styles has, IMO, 0 chance of winning. Now...I actually really like Sting in his role...so I'm fine with that
