I don't like Jim with Pam. I'm an office fan from back in the BBC days...and no matter what they do the BEATING HEART of the office is the receptionist and the salesman. When they are together...the show is lacking the heart that got me into it years ago. They need to have a heartbreaking seperation that leads to a reunion in the last segment of the show. The show just doesn't work as well when they are together.

I liked the movie enough...it just felt like something was missing. Although I enjoy listening to Rogen deliver dialogue. It always makes me laugh.

He's saying that when things get worse (still due to the Bush administration) that American's aren't smart enough to realize that and will blame whoever happens to be in power at the time. And that's likely true.
-
Right...but as I said...someone in that party needs a new idea. McCain didn't have one...and it cost him this election.
-
The next republican ticket will have to come up with an economic plan that isn't the same as Bush's in order for anyone to listen to them outside of their own supporters. Bush may be out of office soon, but his legacy to this country is going to be on people's minds 4 years from now still. If the GOP runs out with the "big cuts for the wealthy" plan again, it won't matter what Obama's policies do as much...because everyone knows those don't work. I agree on the level that people that don't see instant results will want to turn on Obama...but not to go back to the thing that they hate more.
-
And you think that people are going to blame the policies that haven't been enacted yet...when it's tanking already?
-
Great stuff here. Boom baby.

And he's the first Senator since Kennedy to win. And his record was his biggest liability. What he's done had virtually nothing to do with the country selecting him the next President. If you don't belong to the conservative right, Palin is an absolute joke. And you can't win over the voters when that's the case. Women came out for...Obama... So any hope of getting those Hillary voters didn't work out. I mean...Palin's great. If they could run a Presidential election where she doesn't open her mouth...yeah...she might have a shot at finishing 3rd.
-
Palin is a joke. There's no way around that. A joke with 3 years of Senate experience is still a joke. Perhaps instead of padding her resume...she should work on 2nd grade geography and go from there. I don't see how you can't see that the experience isn't the thing that matters. Voters just told you overwhelmingly that it does not.

Yeah. I'm going through as a saint...and it's a tough haul. I'm looking forward to playing it back as evil and killing every fucking bitch in the city.
-
Well...one would assume that she has now learned that Africa is a continent... So the process has begun!!!! In 4 years she'll be in...what? 5th grade?
-
That's what I was trying to say.

The thing about the black vote is figuring out what the increase of first time black voters was. Obama got 95% of the black vote...which I saw was only 5% higher than Kerry and 7% higher than Gore. Blacks vote democrat. So any new voters that Obama got out, it could be argued, could be voting for that reason...but he also got a higher youth vote out too. Youth's and blacks were going to vote Democrat either way...it's just a matter of getting them to the booth.
-
You can wonder the opposite too.
-
You also have to consider that those younger people just watched as Bush somehow did better in his second election...even though everyone knew he was in the midst of a disasterous presidency. Obama's black...and that's what it is...but I look at the excitement more being based on the idea that...hey...the old religious right doesn't run this country anymore and don't decide who leads it regardless of what's best for the nation. Not that I think McCain would have been the disaster that Bush was...but that Bush was so damn bad that the GOP winning again would have fealt like more of the same to, and further disenfranchised, the youth voters.

Oh no, I was just loosely alluding to me saying many hours ago that I thought Obama could turn Indiana...and it took all night but he barely did it.
-
David Palmer wasn't assinated in office. He served his term and was killed as a civilian. ... Fuck why did I reply to that... ... ... Indiana, huh?

You do just stick it on. That's why you can eat a mentat (which if you don't already have in your inventory, you can get from the guy at the waterplant after hours). Eating it raises your exp in that area for a few minutes and lets you attach the thing. All you have to do is walk right up to it and it will pop up the option to attach.
-
Just walk up to the bomb and stare at it. It'll give you the option if your...whatever it is you need...is at a high enough level. If it's not you can eat a mentat and get it done.

I got a text from a friend I've had since 6th grade, and who I work with every day at aroun 10 pm (when the race got away from McCain for good) that read: "Enjoy your fucking nigger president". ... I think I've said this before...but the only people I knew that were voting McCain either wouldn't vote for the black guy, or they thought Palin was hot. My republican friends just weren't voting because they didn't see the point in New York.

Yes.

Barack Obama Circle Jerk? That's an odd title for the Campaign 2012 thread... Anywho... Watching Fox News right now makes me happy. I think they're going to actually die of sadness. Where's Hannity and Coulture? I need to see them now please.
-
Alright...I'm going to watch over at a friends house. I'm sure I'll enjoy reading this thread when I get back.
-
Well...at the time you typed that...yes. But as soon as 8 hit and the polls closed in a lot of places...not anymore.
