Someone in the Colts organization must have realized that they didn't want him.

The Sabres are a good team. They're finally playing with a toughness that they haven't in years... and they're playing a defensive system that they haven't in some time. Thomas Vanek has 5 goals in 3 games (2 shorthanded). They've beaten both the Canadiens and the Rangers. They are a part of the conversation. All props to Lindy Ruff. This is the 3RD different style of team system that he's coached in his run.

My friend got his XBox back 13 days after it red ringed. So you should be cutting it close.

this debate is on the economy... McCain vows to bring up Ayers... ... That's gonna be a hell of a segue. Not only is he vowing to go negative...he's vowing to go offtopic...

It's only surprising because he showed flashes at times last season in his spot duty of having the ability to become something. Then he, apparently, regressed to the point where they didn't even want him on the field. I think they just looked at him and decided that he wasn't worth the effort. Rumors of them trying to move him have been going on since the preseason. Marv Levy missed on that one...but his day 2 that year makes up for it.

I thought McCargo had been doing a good job and added some depth on the d-line. It's not like the Bills are in rebuilding mood and need to stock up on draft picks. I don't get it. He's was the 4th guy on the depth chart, who hasn't even been activated for all the games this year. The Bills HATED him. All training camp long and into the preseason the talk was that he was just lazy and dumb. Dude was a first round pick and he couldn't beat out the 5th round pick from the same draft for the starting job for the first 2 years...and then they went out and got 2 new DTs. The Bills just flat out didn't want him on the team anymore.

Booker pinned Christian -
I didn't really forget about that one...it's the first thing I think of when I think of that match. I did forget about Abyss being put threw the flaming table though. I was reading some reviews of the show...and it had actually left my mind. A couple days after the show...the moves I remember most are the unprotected chairshots on Foley and Jarrett. I really think those were pretty affective for what they did.

What I liked about it was the way the 3 fights seemed to wait until each was over to begin. They seperate the Rivet fight...and Kaleta immediately slams his guy...then when they get them up...Mair and his guy finally throw down. It was all very well choreographed. Also...due to the angle that the video started at it's actually Rivet who jumped in on Mair's intital fight, not Mair helping him out. He got 2 game misconducts for it (3rd man in and fighting after there was another fight started(or however they word that one))

Like I said before the BFG show...If they want to give Sting a real title reign...I'm all for it. None of this "loses the title on Impact or the next ppv" crap. Joe not being able to get a title shot and get his revenge really should mean that Sting has to hold the title for a pretty good stretch...or that stip means nothing...as there would be nothing standing in Joe's way of getting the belt back. I wish Sting wouldn't veto all of the heel ideas that come his way...they could actually make his character kinda freaking cool if he just played an arrogant fuck coming out of BFG. Joe had him pretty dead for a long stretch and kept attacking his lifeless body instead of pinning him...the fact that Sting won in the fashion he did should totally be played up by him as being "better".

The Sabres killed the Islanders yesterday afternoon 7-1. The Islanders. Look. Awful. And there was this piece of awesomeness:

Techinically speaking...doesn't Robin move into that apartment at some point soon? There's no reason that Ted, Marshall or Lilly have to live there a year in the future.

”We are sure that the extremists he is trying to get into a froth will be even more excited to learn that John McCain stood shoulder to shoulder with ACORN, at an ACORN co-sponsored event, to promote immigration reform," Seems to me, the question isn't "Is ACORN standing shoulder to shoulder with McCain?", its "Is McCain still standing shoulder to shoulder with ACORN?" Seriously...according to Marvin's 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon understanding of who you know defining everything about you...John McCain is fixing this election for the democrats!!!! ... Actually his campaign would back that up....

Using the name D.J. ...I get that they don't want to have to call him "Dick" a thousand times an episode...but it just kind of reinforces that this is a bad idea.
-
It wasn't a height thing. He jumped a guardrail and dropkicked Sting, who was a few steps down on the concrete steps. What made it ridiculous was that Joe took a flying back bump on concrete steps. I don't get why anyone would ever do that.
-
But you get the greatness that is the "Lets go Wild" chant. ... I do like their jerseys though.
-
I hated the "Wild" name for a long time. But I guess it grew on me. It is just fucking dumb to look at though.

There's a guy on another board I go to (one for Buffalo sports...but there's a politics section) that has a poster who just posts the most absurd anti-Obama things. He's known to get into racist hatefilled rants when he gets worked up. I can't WAIT for Obama to win and read what he has to say.

The Monsters Ball was better than I expected...it did however have the huge flaw of going on for another like...7 minutes after the flaming table spot. I was watching it with my friend and I kept joking as the match continued..."you know...they lit a man on fire 5 minutes ago. A man was on FIRE a few minutes ago..." Leave at the peak.
-
I hated the main event finish...especially since they had a heck of a nice match until things slowed down and got weird. I don't even care that Nash hit him with the bat...it's that everything went in slow motion for the two minutes before that. On the other hand...I had no problem with the Angle/JJ finish...because Angle DESERVED to get screwed over after those 2 wicked chair shots. This is 2 BFG in a row that they couldn't just have a good finish to the show after Sting had suprisingly good matches with bad endings.
-
I'll be watching it...but in the room away from my computer since I have company coming over. Go Creed!
-
Because they touched the ball first. As long as you touch ball...you can kill people. Just like tipped balls from the QB.
-
I should add...this show reminds me a lot of Lockdown with the top 2 matches being the main emphasis of everything leading into the show (like the Lethal Lockdown/Joe vs. Angle was there). I actually prefer when TNA books this way. Lockdown was a nice show that didn't ask the midcard to do anything extraordinary and it was one of the few TNA shows that I didn't feel burnt out by the time I got to the big matches. I'd like to see them employ the same formula here. This show is about Joe/Sting and Jarrett/Angle. Chrisitan/Booker/AJ can have a nice little match. Monster's Ball can be a fun hardcore distraction. Terrordome can be the fun highspot adventure. Bashir/Creed can be a nice undercard match. Kong/Taylor/Roxxi should be a nice little women's match too. I love the Beautiful People...but their 6 person match is just...well...it doesn't fit. In the end this show lives and dies by those two main events. The undercard should be good, but not blowaway...and then they hopefully just go out and have 2 actual matches for the Jarrett/Angle, Joe/Sting matches. Last year's Sting/Angle match makes me very hopeful that Sting/Joe will deliver pretty well. It should be interesting from crowd reaction at least.
-
I'm looking forward to Jarrett/Angle alot. They should have a really good story to tell in the match with Jarrett playing the babyface who hasn't worked a match in a long time and can't keep up with the machine that is serious Angle. I see Jarrett winning with an out of nowhere rollup and Foley and Angle getting into it afterwards. Sting/Joe...I don't know who I want to win. If they were going to give Sting a real title reign...I could be for that. With the no rematch clause...and no other challengers hanging around...what exactly is left for Joe if he wins? He's had programs with Christian, Angle, Booker and now Sting...and Jarrett and Styles are on the same side he's on. Sting could work a real program with Christian (finally) and maybe it'll finally be Styles turn again. I hope Creed wins. I like Creed. I want Beer Money to retain. I like Beer Money. I want Kong to win. I like Kong. In the 3 way...hmm... my head says Booker wins as they continue to tease more Christian/AJ stuff for the millionth time. I would like to see AJ just win clean. But I could live with Chrisitan who has the most interesting role of the 3 going forward.
