The Sabres played a better defensive game then pretty much the entire last season today to beat the Canadiens in a shootout 2-1. It's amazing how much of a difference Numminen being out last year crippled their D. He was the only guy who could do the little things like...you know...get the puck out of our own end. They traded Campbell at the deadline (cause they weren't gonna be able to afford him) and they got rid of Khalinan finally...and neither guy was particularly strong at the defensive part of playing defense... And replaced them with Rivet and a healthy Numminen. We'll see how going old works out in the long run...but it sure was nice not to have to watch all of our shitty turnovers end up in our net for one game.

Damn...if I had known I could vote more than once the yes side would have won in a landslide.

909s idea is fine. The megathread hasn't been the problem in this folder...and having multiple timed mini threads won't be either. It's a needless fix to the problem that isn't... But it's not going to mess anything up. I do also enjoy that the day someone picks their VP whatever conversation was going on in the last campaign thread dies a horrible death and restarts in a new venue. It's like knowing that the hydra will form more heads...and doing it anyway. I love how much discussion has been had about this thread...especially when the only difference with 909s idea is having to use the search function to look back at topics...instead of just using the timestamps on this thread to do it.

Well...that announcement comes in perfect timing as posters were just discussing how much they enjoyed having the all-encompassing thread this time around. Can Marvin be banned from these future threads?

Well...Hindsight is 20/20 and it may not end up mattering anyway... but as soon as they started talking about how rarely he pitches this long all I could think was "Then why in the hell is he doing it here?". Playoff series are long, and there are enough days off that you can pretty much use your full bullpen every night.

On some level...you've got to love Marvin's twisted views. Obama sat on a board with a terrorist, and he worked for ACORN 14 years ago...He's CLEARLY PALING AROUND WITH TERRORISTS AND INVOLVED IN FRAUD!!! Palin has a commitee (made up of more than half republican's no less) say that she abused power...and that's an arguable point to him.

Well Yes, yes I do indeed. Like I said, I don't like using "isms" period, because of how our system is really kind of unique no matter form it has taken on over it's history. Everything is connected, confirmed and open. It even actually does put my online technicallly (my last time online in my sig changes everytime I connect) but the screen just freezes. So...I'm connected but it doesn't do me a bit of good. So...I can connect to live...but my system freezes... but I can play the system fine...as long as it's not on live.

The only reason he's there is that he's a local guy who's popular in the sports community. It's not like he's wrestling or they've even wasted more than a couple minutes mentioning his job. To impy that peope still care would mean that they were trying to sell the show based on him...when in reality they're not. They just have him in Chicago doing local crap and trying to get word out.

I don't know what's going on with my xbox right now. I can start it up and play games as long as I'm not connected to Live. Anytime I connect to live (it boots up with me not connected) everything freezes. My internet is working fine. I tried taking off the wireless connection and plugged it straight into the system...and it still froze. I went through network settings and it went through with full bars...but when I connected to it...frozen. What the F?

I actually typed that before he edited his post to include the list. Originally his post just said that RTruth could be the guy to take HHH down. And so I used that opportunity to take a jab at the Booker/HHH feud.
