The Joe DVD has to be good just because it covers his badass X division run. The best of 07 DVD does have the Harris vs. Storm match from Sacrifice that I can't say enough good things about. They literally (IMO anyway) rebounded from the worst match of the year in wrestling (the blindfold cage match at Lockdown) to have the best match in TNA that year. It's a hell of a fun match.

Heavy Metal. that leaves me with 2 picks left...I think I'll only be using 1 though so my roster will be even. I'll update that one later

Matches with Angle and Joe would be the biggest I think they could do. ... Would anyone else like to see a program with James Storm after the Beer Money team runs its course? I think Storm could benefit hugely...and I think he's the right guy to try a big push with. If Foley was going to try a "make someone" program...that's who I'd want to see it with

Pitt was TERRIBLE in the second half. Just terrible. They read off their possession in the half just now: Punt, Punt, Turnover (that would have been a TD had they not blown the whistle incorrectly), Tunover, Turnover on downs, Turnover. Yeesh.

I was watching the talking heads on CNN last night and I thought one of them got it right. When the republican guy asked what the difference was between an inexperienced person being chosen for VP and an inexperienced person running for president, the democrat guy answered that voters will decide whether or not Obama is ready to be president...Palin was chosen by one guy. It's a headscrathcer. How does McCain continue his campaign where his sole issue is that Obama isn't ready to lead when his best judgment leads him to pick inexperience to be next in line?

Yeah!!! Our trade was first!!! So anyway...basically what happened here was that I had HBK fall into my lap and while that was awesome...I had already plotted out a bunch of stuff that I wanted to do (including getting Owen Hart over as a top level heel with his JJ Dillon led stable) that HBK sorta got in the way of. It was a good problem to have though and I had started figuring him into the stories... Then Franchise offered me Angle and Petey and I decided that it fit better with what I was trying to do. It's a problem that really comes from what I can do with Angle that I can't do with HBK. I can put Angle against a top Mexican or Japanese guy...and it can be a big time match. I don't like the way HBK matches up with most of my roster. Most of them are smaller and faster than he is...and while that's fine it takes away my favorite thing that HBK does and that's bump his ass off. The only people I have to use HBK for with that is Taker and Hansen...at least at the top (I don't see him bumping around for Matt Morgan...ahem). Angle gave me a different way to go. A guy who can believably stand with Taker and Hansen as a legit fighter...and a guy who can pro wrestle Steamboat and Hart and steal the show. I'm gonna make him a no comedy straight shooting wrestler. He can be the top guy in my promotion...and he can work with the lower guys and get them over just by making them look good. HBK wasn't quite as good at the latter. Oh...and Petey just fit with all my other small fast guys.

That's kind of the thing. If TNA wanted to start presenting matches (or at least match builds) more like Joe vs. Angle at Lockdown (you know...the ONE thing that worked this year...and then they immediately abandoned it) then a guy like Lashley could fit well. Less talking more training and hype videos. Hard hitting matches. That could work. Unfortunately they don't really do that...even though they should since they're top 2 guys are built for it.

Yeah. Even though Joe was Joe before TNA, TNA would be smart and well served to refer to him as a TNA original. All that really means is "wasn't a star for WWE/WCW/ECW anyway".

I thought that was supposed to be the point. Sting's going to be right when he comes out on Impact and says that the young guys are disrespectful and have crossed the line lately. If there wasn't evidence of that it's a meaningless statement. What they're banking on is that people will still cheer AJ and boo Angle (they will) that they'll cheer Jarrett (they will) that they'll cheer Joe (and they will...as long as he's in with Booker or Angle...BUT I don't know what happens with anyone else) and that they'll boo Booker (they will). The problem is that they have no reason to boo Sting. ...or Nash if and when he turns. They must be hoping that they'll be booed by association...or that they'll actually do heelish things to get over. This works if the heels (Sting, Angle, Booker and eventually Nash) take heel shortcuts while bitching about getting unfair treatment. But this absolutely doesn't work if the old guys beat all the young guys. Basically Joe needs to choke out a Sting who tried every shortcut in the book during their match. And I don't see that happening in that way...making the whole thing worthless.

Wow. That sucks. of all the people on the list I really want them to keep Christian.
