Christian should still have quite a while left IIRC. I believe he signed a new 2 year deal a little under a year ago.

... Oh man...this is sweet. I got the email while I was at work...so I used the internet on my phone to try and figure out what was going on. Then I had to really start thinking about which side I was going to take. I REALLY coveted the Bulldogs going in to this draft. They would imediately become the centerpiece of my tag division and I think an LAX/Bulldogs program would be WICKED. That being said...HBK represents a talent that I didn't even have a chance on when my turn came around in round 1. HBK vs. Taker headlining my "wrestlemania" in Texas certainly seems like a logical fit...not to mention the HBK/Steamboat dream match I could run... This was a much harder decision than it probably should have been for me. But in the end I couldn't pass on what HBK brought to the table. I'll have to rewrite some of my top feud ideas...but all I really have to do is move Owen Hart and his stable down to the upper midcard and out of the main event. I'll take HBK

THESE WERE TERRIBLE MATCHES.

AJ/Angle has already happened several times. They had the first match at Slammiversary. Then they had a 6 man that came down to the 2 on the next ppv... Then they had a 6 man elimination that came down to the 2 again on Impact... Then they had another one on one match at the last ppv... and then this Impact it wasn't even a real match. It was an angle to further the JJ/Sting returns.

If we look at the two times that Sting has physically interjected himself...both times the young guy (Joe and then AJ) were going over the line with their violence towards a veteran (Booker and Angle). Even though I still don't get what Joe did wrong in his match last month with Booker (the bell never rang!!!) AJ was crossing a line going back and attacking Angle. If the storyline is that Sting is pissed that they don't respect the veterans...Ok. I don't see how that makes him the heel when he's actually correct... But I think they'll get away with it since fans are going to cheer AJ and Joe over Booker and Angle anyway. The problem will be getting them to boo Sting. I think that Jarrett will get cheered...but that doesn't mean booing Sting...especially when he's right. It'll take a hell of a Sting promo to get it over...which means someone has to write one that makes sense. Odds are not high.

That's pretty much all that was really said. The gist of it was that he'd come in and do a program with Abyss since they could do the hardcore stuff that people like Foley for...and it's a no brainer since Abyss is a Mankind knockoff anyway... And then they'd do a program with Joe that I assume (since we're going back to when Joe was super hot in the X division...and this was before guys like Christian and Sting started showing up mind you) would have been Foley doing his best to "make" Joe ala his Orton feud. And then he'd work a title match at some point since he'd be the biggest star the company had at that point in time. In retrospect those could have been some neat programs (and all 3 completely different from hardcore to hard hitting to more oldschool). It's funny how things have changed if he were to join now though...as the top guys in the company are Angle, Sting, Joe, AJ and Booker (and soon to be JJ again) which is a lot of different options. Foley/Angle as brought up is kind of an interesting thought.

The ring does need to be bigger...but I don't think many people still care that it's 6 sided. I don't even notice it anymore...and like CD the two friends that I dragged to see BFG in 06 either didn't notice that the ring was different...or didn't care. Also...on Foley...in his 3rd book he laid out the plans for his almost TNA run that involved a feud with Abyss, a feud with Joe and an eventual title program with Jarrett. He had been interested in "making" Joe since his stuff in RoH that teased such a thing.

I think that HHH/Michaels match is overrated. I don't remember what else is on that show...wasn't that Rock/Brock? That was really fun.

Well...I know that when Foley almost signed with TNA last time he was looking at a program with Joe designed to get him over as a top guy and out of the X division... Flash forward and Joe is Champion so one of Foley's "make so and so a top star programs (like his HHH and Orton ones)" wouldn't really work now. I say hire him to be the color guy and then do short special attraction programs for like...Bound for Glory and Lockdown each year. I don't think the matches would be all that good...but I think programs with guys like Angle, Sting or Joe could make for some good TV at least.

Ok...follow the bouncing ball on this one. Rounds ago I took Antonino Rocca because I found him to be really interesting in the various clips I could find online. But then as my promotion started to take more shape...I realized that I needed to find something kinda different for him to do at the event that we have to build. I had no one else from his era for him to work with (and anybody modern would have been a kinda clash of styles) so I drafted the Fabulous Kangaroos. So...in order to finish off the planned match for the card...I now select Rocca's tag team partner: Miguel Perez And the reason I want to go with Rocca and Perez vs. The Fabulous Kangaroos is due to what I read on the wikipedia site regarding the Kangaroos which can be found below: "On one occasion in August 1958, The Kangaroos, or "Kangaroo Men" as they were billed, nearly caused a riot in Madison Square Garden during a match against Antonino Rocca and Miguel Pérez; the fans began to throw fruit and stones at them. After the match ended without a decisive winner, the promoters stepped in, turned up the arena lights, and played the National Anthem to stop a potential riot." Sweet. I've also read it stated that Rocca and Perez were the top drawing tag team at MSG...which means virtually nothing to me since I'm running in the south and in Mexico.

The Fabulous Kangaroos (Al Costello and Roy Heffernan) Yep...I've seen approximately 3 minutes of a Fabulous Kangaroos match...but we're late into the draft here and I don't have anyone from that era accept Antonino Rocca. Plus...I've read they were important/great...so there ya go. Ignore the manager in the middle...I'm not taking him.

I went and saw it. If you're going to see it...please see it in 3D. I can't imagine having to watch it based on plot. It's a pretty bad movie...but the 3D and Brendan Fraser's likeablity make it passable entertainment.
