Official Preview (HA! I WIN)
The Ghost of bps21 replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in TNA Wrestling
I don't know...since Dusty and Gilberti will work the minority (by far Gilberti's back is fucked and Dusty never works long) of that match...I kind of want to see all 4 of the top matches. No interest in 3 live crew...but I bet they get a nice reaction anyway. -
OFFICIAL PREVIEW - AUGUST 3 RAVEN VS SHANE DOUGLAS These two former ECW champions have been on a collision course from the day Shane Douglas set foot in TNA. Raven has been on the short end of most of their encounters but has been looking forward to a one on one confrontation. This week Raven gets his wish as he and Shane Douglas square off to try to settle things once and for all. AMW & DUSTY RHODES VS SIMON DIAMOND, JOHNNY SWINGER, & GLENN GILBERTI This is another grudge match that has been building for the past several weeks. America's Most Wanted have managed to hang on to their tag titles, but they still want to get revenge for the brutal beatings they have suffered at the hands of Diamond & Swinger and their manager Glenn Gilberti. Gilberti seems to always get involved, so AMW has decided to bring a partner of their own to the show this week. The American Dream Dusty Rhodes makes no secret of his admiration for AMW and proudly refers to them as "my boys". Dusty Rhodes and AMW team up this week to get revenge on Diamond, Swinger, and Gilberti. MICHAEL SHANE VS FRANKIE KAZARIAN LADDER MATCH TO DETERMINE #1 CONTENDER FOR THE X TITLE Director of Authority Erik Watts has ruled that after last week's controversial ending to the Chris Sabin vs Frankie Kazarian match, the X Title will remain with Sabin. To avoid any further controversial referee decisions, Watts has decided that a ladder match will be held to determine the #1 contender for the X Title with the winner of the match getting a shot at Chris Sabin. Michael Shane and Frankie Kazarian will try to become the #1 contender and get that shot against Sabin, but they'll have to earn the shot in the ladder match. JERRY LYNN VS ELIX SKIPPER Jerry Lynn beat Elix Skipper in two straight falls two weeks ago, and last week was banned from the building by Don Callis for excessive violence. Lynn will be making his return this week and will be looking to beat Skipper again. Skipper claims last time was just a fluke and that he is still "pound for pound the best wrestler in the world". Don Callis will be watching closely to make sure Jerry Lynn is on his best behavior. 3 LIVE KREW VS DEVON STORM, VAMPIRE WARRIOR, & SINN We've seen them in Mexican Restaurants, hanging out in "the hood", and last week at a trailer park being stalked by a shirtless psycho...but this week 3 Live Krew return to pay-per-view with a match against Devon Storm & Vampire Warrior who are both making their return to TNA, and their partner Sinn who will be making his TNA debut. ALSO ON THE SHOW Kid Kash will be on hand, and plans to disrespect another legend. Who will it be this week? We'll see footage that was taped after we went off the air last week. Tune in this week to see the chaotic aftermath of the AJ Styles vs D-LO Brown cage match. AJ Styles will be in the Asylum. Will he defend the title again this week? If so, who will be getting the title shot? Jeff Jarrett still has a score to settle with Christopher Daniels. Will this be the week he's able to teach Daniels a lesson? Where does Legend fit in to this situation? All this and much more, this Wednesday night...only on pay-per-view. Find out what Total Nonstop Action is all about!

He's not the first person to think that they could turn Johnson into a QB. Even after absolutely blowing in Buffalo, Gruden thought he could do it too.
-
Thanks for giving me the dates of all those not better than average matches. I'll be sure to locate my nearest tape trader so I can bask in there averageness.
-
I wish I could. Tell Dream Stage to give me the damn DVDS!!!!!
-
I'd think Liddell is the weakest of the other 3... but do they really want Yoshida to lose to a UFC fighter?
-
Those HHH matches (ESPECIALLY MANIA) were boring. The rest were all tag wins for Booker leading up to the boring loss.
-
CanadianChick- Booker has had numerous good matches with Jeff Jarrett, Steve Austin, Lance Storm, The Rock, Chris Jericho, RVD and I enjoyed his series with Triple H. He also had some good stuff with Steiner. Ok...come on. He never had a good match with RVD that I can remember...and I like to write good RVD matches down as proof that he had them. The ONLY Austin match that I remember was a terrible first blood match with Boss Man interfering. Lance Storm has only had two good matches in WWE and they were with Edge at SS 01 and the RAW match where RVD remembered how to sell for once. I don't remember a Booker/Jericho 1-1 match ever having enough time to be anything but meh. Jarrett and Steiner were in WCW where no one saw them...though I don't deny those could have been good.
-
Can you pick something that anyone might remember? Saying a TV match from 2 years ago was good is a bit of a stretch. Like...I saw Christian have a great match with Al Snow in late 99 on RAW!!!!!!
-
I can't think of one good Booker T match that Benoit wasn't in.
-
Based on what?
-
I know...I think Book and Christian are about equal in terms of wrestling ability. They both have boring matches with everyone.
-
1. But Tamura didn't really knock him down. Yoshida fell after his knee made contact. 2. Bad Blood would be the next DVD to be released...and there's STILL no announcement.
-
Possibly...but today was the first time I ever saw him since Pride DVD releases are so far behind.

A great night for me as an MMA fan... Not a great night for me as a fan of my two favorite fighters... 1. Sakuraba is legend no longer 2. Vovchanchyn ate a foot. My two favorite fighters with two devastating KO losses. I guess I need to find a fighter to cheer for from the newer generation, eh?
-
If the fight were to happen right away...I'd give it to Cro Cop. He just seems to be hitting the exact level he needs to be at at exactly the right time.
-
Only Shawn Micheals gets out of jobbing titles due to injuries.
-
Yeah...but you broke the story first. I hope Book gets better...but I guess we won't see him for a while. Nice to see him drop the title like a man...the way it should be done.
-
They couldn't have asked for a better build up for Fedor/Cro Cop tonight. Both guys crushed there opponents.
-
It was pretty damn epic the way Saku was just plain out cold if you ask me. First fight: Saku lost similarly...but was still alert and ok. Second fight: Injury...and he fought a better fight. Third Fight: Out. Cold.
-
From Da Meltz: [email protected] Christian won the IC title tonight in Des Moines. The finish was Booker T going for the ax kick, screaming and dropping down, heavily selling his lower back (which has been bothering him for years, and greatly over the past ten days). Christian gave him an unprettier and pinned him. Booker was helped to the back by a couple of referees and the trainer.
-
Cro Cop had the better KO... BUT I'm taking Silva on Saku... Any shred of the Sakuraba legend was taken away forever tonight. SUre the previously losses (to Silva and others) dented it...but as soon as the chance to beat Silva arose...there was that last little bit to be crushed. and Silva did it.
-
... A: If true I like the idea of changing a title on a house show. B: If true...they should have done it with the tag titles. C. If true.
-
I was going to say that too. It can be a disadvantage just as easily. I don't think that knee thing was a work at all. I swear I saw discoloration when they pulled his pant leg up...and why would he fall down in the middle of the fight after an offensive kick?
-
Sakuraba was doomed when he couldn't get Silva off his feet. We played that game before...with the same result...only a little less devastating.
