The “…I’m going to From the Fire…?” line is line of the night for me.

I was pulling for both Muzz and Zyon, so at least one of them got it. Congrats to both guys cause I know Zyon put a lot into his so Muzz must have been a monster in his.

With the promo before the match, Edge/Rey at WM would have been fresh, hot, and entertaining.

It was one of the best built midcard feuds in a long time, TNA and WWE included. So really, whats the point of crying when they go all out for the blow off?

Promo: “Flashing Lights & Sounds” ----------------------------------------------- After Smarkdown has gone off the air, Spike Jenkins sits in the back medical office, an ice pack covering his swollen face. Looking very depressed and upset, Jenkins removes the ice pack and starts to press his fingers up against the large purple welt on the top of his head. The door creaks open and in walks Zyon with the SWF Cruiserweight Championship still over his shoulder. Zyon stops a few feet away from the sore Hollywood Superstar, unsure of what to say. An awkward silence follows, both men not knowing how to break the ice. Finally, Zyon speaks up. “So…how are you doing?” “Shitty.” “Yeah…I can understand that…listen, Spike…” “Don’t give me that shit,” Spike shouts as he sits up off the medical table, tossing the ice pack on the ground, “You weren’t there for me! All you had to do was follow the plan and I would be International Champion right now!” “Spike, you didn’t tell me the damn plan involved using my title as a weapon,” Zyon shouts back, “You didn’t tell me you planned on cheating to win!” “Cheating to win? When did I cheat? When did I win? From what I remember, the OTHER guy cheated to win and I was left with a concussion!” “All you said to me was that you had a plan and to be in your corner! You never told me anything!” “No shit! I did have a plan! Don’t you think I knew that Jay Hawke was going to pull something like that? I wasn’t cheating, damn it! I was using his own weapon against him! I was going to take him out before he could take me out! All you had to do was slide me that belt you have over your shoulder! But could you do that? No and it cost me the match!” “What do you want me to do? Say I’m sorry? Okay, I apologize, Spike! But I am not going to help you cheat to win a title! Where is the honor in that?” Zyon doesn’t respond, but looks down at the floor while Spike berates him like a child. “In this company, it is kill or be killed! I fucked up!” Spike turns away, disgusted at the Unique Youth. Another awkward silence. Spike paces around the room, trying to shake off the resentment. He finally turns around to face Zyon, holding his hand out. “All right, it’s over. There is nothing we could do about it now. There is no reason to mess with our friendship over this.” Zyon accepts the peace offering and shakes Spikes hand. “You’re right. Lets just move on and look towards the future.” “Yeah and the future is another title shot for me. It just wasn’t my night for the International Title. But that is okay,” Spike says with a big grin, “Because I know when you give me a Cruiserweight Title shot at Clusterfuck, we’ll put on the match of the night and show everyone why we are the top two wrestlers in this company!” Zyon stares at Spike for a second, trying to comprehend what he just said. “Spike…I’m not defending the Cruiserweight Title against you.” Spikes grin disappears from his face as he looks at Zyon. “What do you mean, you aren’t going to defend the Cruiserweight Title against me?” “Are you seriously asking me to defend this belt against my best friend? I just can’t do that. Sure, we may go into the match as friends, but what about afterwards? What would happen to our friendship when one of us loses? I don’t want to risk that.” “Are you serious?” “Yes.” “…So you aren’t going to give me a shot at the Cruiserweight title?” “No.” Spike shakes his head in disgust as he tries to figure out what Plan C is now. “Okay, fine. Whatever. This will give me more of a chance to focus on the Clusterfuck and winning that and then going on to getting my rematch for the SWF World Championship!” “Umm…Spike…I’m going to be winning the Clusterfuck.” “Now you are just getting on my nerves,” Spike retorts. “What makes you think you are going to win the ‘Fuck? You entered yourself at Number One? Do you honestly think you can last the whole match and then win the triple threat?” “Yes, I do.” “Sorry to break it to you man, but you aren’t. There is no possible way.” “Yeah…but what if you pick number two? How do you plan on lasting the whole match?” “If I pick number two…well, I’m still going to win. But I have a feeling I’m going to picking a high number.” “Kid, don’t doubt my skills, okay? I’m going into the Clusterfuck with one thing in mind and that is to win. You got that?” “Hey, in that match, it is every man for himself.” “As long as the Cruiserweight Title isn’t on the line, right?” Zyon flinches at the remark and can’t think of a comeback. “You know what, Spike? I’m just going to leave before this gets out of hand again,” Zyon turns and begins to walk out of the door, “Better keep ice on that,” he says as he walks out of the room. He continues walking down the hall, mumbling under his breath, “Nice face…” Spike Jenkins stands alone in the medical room, once again, thinking about how his entire SWF career led him to where he is standing. His best friend in the company cost him a title shot, refuses to give him a title shot, and believes he is going to win one of the biggest matches in SWF history. Spike thinks about his last SWF World Title match and how close he was to beating ELM and how he would do anything to get another one. He thinks about the conversation he just had with the Unique Youth. He thinks about how Zyon was the only person to talk to him when he was ousted by the company, and the mentorship he provided the Unique Youth. “Cocky fuck.”

Remember when you said you would retire if you didn't win the 'Fuck in 05, Stryke? I only remember that because I was still a rookie in the WF and had you be the last one eliminated before the triple threat.
