I wasn't ever able to access my team to get Thomas out of the lineup. Should Marion Barber end up having a big game, well...I'm not going to say that a Marvin win would be tainted. I'm only going to imply it.

Hey, so that's why you don't play your starters in a meaningless week 17 game. Good thing they have next week off.

I have no explanation for what's happened to the Bucs this month. Everything to play for at home against a 4 win Oakland team, and they trail at the half. Inexcusable lack of effort or enthusiasm. They lose this one, I never want to see Jon Gruden on the Tampa Bay sideline again.

Fuuuuck. Pierre Thomas is inactive today, and Yahoo won't let me access my team to sit him.

Post in this thread if you have never stood in shin-deep snow

Yeah, all that shit on the ground finally started melting today. For whatever reason, the people who own this subdivision didn't get the roads plowed until this morning. With there being a rather large hill at the end of the only road out of here, we've had some misadventures trying to go anywhere. I'm told that my dad, heading to the airport and struggling to get his car up that hill, launched a shovel clear across the street. Glad this shit doesn't happen here more often. -
Success!

Oh, I beg to differ. It's always funny. I was giggling for hours over the Home Improvement theme song a few months ago.

Congrats, Damaramu! He's improved as a poster, too. A banner year all around for our very own Okie from Muskogee.

All right, I'm officially over not wanting Tampa to make the playoffs. It irks me somewhat that the NFL moved the Dallas/Philadelphia game to 4:15, as the Eagles will know that their season is over before kickoff if Tampa wins. But with jobs surely being on the line, I'm hopeful that they'll do Buccaneers Nation a favor and beat Dallas. Beyond that, I'm hoping that the Dolphins, Chargers, Ravens, and Bears make the playoffs. That last one is only because this place is more entertaining when the Bears are still alive.

Okay, so would you rather awake to the sensation of an unfamiliar finger in your butthole or watch the entirety of Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia, starring Mr. Kennedy? You have to choose one. Bear in mind that the finger could belong to anyone, from an underwear model to Jack Black to Marvin. I'm taking my chances with the finger.

Look, how many times have we had this conversation this year? The Lions aren't beating anyone. They're awful.

My god, every defensive player looks slow and out of position in that Darren Sproles highlight they keep showing. Brings the bile right back up to the tip of my throat. Speaking of things that make me want to vacate the contents of my stomach: Chicago's offense.

It'd be awesome if the Lions organization rallied around Marinelli over this whole stupid thing and decided to keep him around for another year.

Found this blog while searching for any sort of information on a song called "The Trains" by a band called The Nashville Ramblers. Check that song out, but also listen to the wealth of other unheard songs, many of which have never been issued on CD. (That Nashville Ramblers song is featured on a Rhino box set, which is how I heard it.) Here's a direct link to the song I was talking about.

They ceased being competitive, and anyone who knows "Classy" Rod Marinelli knows that isn't going to be good enough. His name has actually been brought up as a potential successor to Monte Kiffin in Tampa next year, assuming that Marinelli does end up getting canned. He'd probably do a good job, too. Some guys just don't make good head coaches, and you have to remember that Matt Millen gave the guy almost nothing to work with personnel-wise.
-
Never have I seen the word "classy" used so often to refer to someone involved in pro sports, I guess because terms like "successful" or "competent" wouldn't apply. He'll be the classiest unemployed man in America soon, because he's been an abject failure as a head coach. Rob Parker's question, while probably out of line, was no more out of line than losing every game on your schedule.

As expected, the championship game will be Kinetic v. Marvin in a battle of Original TSMers. When these two teams met earlier in the season, I got the Detroit Lions treatment. The rematch should be significantly more competitive, as the Steamers have been peaking over the last few weeks.

The question was funny, so in that sense it was more successful than anything the Lions have done this year. You invite the perception of nepotism just by hiring the guy in the first place. By choosing to keep him on when he's obviously very bad at his job, Marinelli opened himself up to this type of questioning. Fortunately for Lions fans, all of these people and their wives and daughters will be run out of town very soon.

Thanks. And I still have Carolina's defense tonight, so there's a (very) slim possibility of breaking 100 for a third straight week.

You right, you right. But given that a one-and-done playoff appearance is about as much as we can hope for this year, I'm not sure that a wild card berth is a good thing for this team long-term because it buys Gruden more time in Tampa. The Glazers fired Tony Dungy for doing the same annual December disappearing act, and he's a saint. How does Gruden keep getting away with this shit?

Mike Smith. And, yeah, I'd argue that he deserves COTY. Another depressing Buccaneers note: Everything they needed to have happen this weekend happened, except for them winning. Dallas lost. Philadelphia lost. Had Tampa won, they'd be in the playoffs.

Yeah! What's the score in that Steamers-Lonestars game? I don't have StatTracker, so help me out here.
