I don't know what Spurs fans are like, but...small market fans are inherently better than large market fans. They just are. The only exception to this is Green Bay Packers fans, and that's (a. a product of history and b.) an example of why football is far and away the best American sport.

I spelled out the reasons for my Spurs fanhood in some Maff chat a while back. Did you know that I wasn't allowed to wear certain colors to school when I lived in San Antonio? Spurs colors weren't included in that bunch. We've come a long way, baby.

Yeah, I can't help but feel that even though most would like to see the Spurs be dealt with, it would be even more satisfying to see Boston get embarrassed. ALTHOUGH that has a lot to do with the level of cock-slobbering that ESPN does with any successful Boston squad. And have you seen KG's weird "INTENSE" face on the Jumbotron in that recent Gatorade commericial? Man, fuck that guy.

I mean, they flop. And they bitch and moan all the time. And several of them weren't even born here in the US of A. Despite the size of their market, they are the ultra heels of the NBA.

This is a strange thing. It seems like people can't even muster up a good ol' fashioned Notre Dame-type hate for the Spurs. You'd think that they'd have built up the type of animosity that the Pats experienced last year, but it still seems like no one outside of die hard NBA fans and fans of the team care.

Let me just say this: I don't care what anyone thinks about the Spurs. Hate them if you want. But please keep in mind that even if ABC gets blockbuster ratings for a Finals series, they will not be sending you a check. You have no vested interest in what those ratings look like.

The first and third of that bunch sucked, granted. Spurs-Pistons should have been good, but we ended up with a series that went to seven games but only had one game that was particularly good. I don't know... I just kinda wish that the Lakers would play the Knicks in the Finals every year so that everyone in the NBA and all the good folks at ABC could get really rich and have great ratings and all. Makes me feel sort of bad for liking a small-market team.

Immediately upon making that list, I can say that I'll always like those songs, but only the first one will be a permanent fixture on all subsequent lists. I already regret a couple of things. I'd replace something with "Station to Station."

This is fantastic. There's 100 songs on 4 discs. Of that bunch, I'd estimate that I already had about 25 songs somewhere in my collection, so that's 75 songs that I'm not familiar with, many of which are excellent. They play pretty fast and loose with the definition of "punk" here, too, so it casts a really wide net. Like, everything from the Dead Boys' "Sonic Reducer" to Joe Jackson's "Is She Really Going Out With Him?"
