Rex is staying in Chicago for at least another year. In other news, Zach Thomas has signed with Dallas and Philadelphia has released Jevon Kearse.

You say that you were granted permission to post this? Who authorized it? This is a serious violation of board regulations.

I've seen the Bucs linked to both DeAngelo Hall and Javon Walker today. Of the two, I'd rather have Hall. Walker is an injury-prone malcontent. We'd almost certainly have to give up high draft picks to get either, and I'm really not in favor of that. So I hear Rex might be staying in Chicago.

I've been spending some time at The Pit recently. This probably comes as a surprise to no one, but that Marney is the most awful human being I've ever encountered. Doesn't she supposedly look like Eric Stoltz from Mask? Someone want to dig that picture up for me? -
Yeah, I think sports is only one of many of the logical progressions from pro wrestling. Others include science fiction, Insane Clown Posse, comic books, Kevin Smith movies, and masturbation.

Wait a minute, what's WCW?

That's a half-truth. I just find that the most amusing way to expose the fallacy of an argument is to present it in the dumbest way possible.

He's in Charles Barkley's Fave Five! The almost comically preferential treatment he received from the officials in the 2006 NBA Finals singlehandedly won the championship for the Heat! None of this means anything to you?

I'm going to assume that you'd know better than I would. So let's remove Miami from consideration and insert Atlanta. They have no viable option at QB currently on their roster.

There she is. I'd like to give her an R-rated experience, amirite? Also, the so-called "Midnight Cowboy" song is "Everbody's Talkin," popularized by the incomparable Harry Nilsson. He's also responsible for the popularity of "Without You," which was somewhat recently ressurected by Simon Cowell's awful Il Divo project.

That curly-haired blonde girl melts my ice-cold heart. Is it odd that they keep trying to establish the idea that this is the best top 24 ever, when all evidence is to the contrary?

This is why it's hard for me to believe that Ryan and Brohm will actually fall out of the first round. It's not like there's an embarrassment of riches at QB hitting the free agent market, plus it doesn't look like McNabb's going anywhere. Chicago needs a QB. Tampa needs to start grooming someone to replace Garcia. Minnesota can't feel that great about Jackson as their starter. All of the guys in Baltimore are question marks. The new regime in Miami apparently doesn't think highly of John Beck. And so on.

The Washington Redskins (BX) are on the clock. Tick tock.

Y'know, my girlfriend has no interest in sports and I doubt that she'd be familiar with anyone active outside of Peyton Manning, Shaq, and Kobe. It's generally pretty easy to avoid sports, if you really don't care at all.

Should the current reports about the falling stocks of both Brian Brohm and Matt Ryan come to fruition, I'd have to say that Tampa should grab one of them at #20. I just have trouble imagining that this would happen.

Fair enough, but have you heard of Dwyane Wade?
-
That's amazing. His name isn't even Larry! What a fraud.

Why do you have to ruin everything that I enjoy?

I saw Blink-182, Smash Mouth, Everclear, and a bunch of other crap at DC101's chili cookoff years ago. The crowd was openly hostile toward Everclear.

I've seen almost exclusively crap. Eve 6, Silverchair, Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, Veruca Salt, Collective Soul, Huey Lewis & The News, REO Speedwagon (twice). I just missed seeing Warrant and Nelson as a child.

There are spots where it sounds exactly like My Aim is True. Not to get too off-topic before actually saying anything about the album that I started a thread about, but it gives you an idea of how important The Attractions were to Elvis Costello's subsequent records. Anyway, this is a great record that was unfortunately out of print for a long time. "I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass," "So It Goes," "Marie Provost," and "Nutted by Reality" are highlights.
