This year's New England team will be remembered, by virtue of having posted the only 16-0 regular season record in NFL history. Beyond that, their legacy is as the best single-season team to not win a championship.

As someone who lives in the South and couldn't possibly care less about baseball, I don't give a shit about any kind of New York-Boston rivalry. My issue with the Pats themselves is their incredible smugness. Beyond that, the only issue is the way that the media walks on eggshells around Belichick and just goes fucking nuts any time anyone on any team says anything that could even abstractly be interpreted as something that doesn't just assume that the Patriots will crush any team they play. Honestly, I didn't even really dislike New England until this year.

I was walking on air today. I haven't felt this good coming off of an NFL game in five years.

It's kind of bizarre and amusing (though soon to turn frustrating, I'm sure) that we're going to get an offseason full of "What's wrong with New England" and "How can they rebuild?"

That doesn't exactly live up to their earlier claim that Perfectville would be changed forever.

Yes, the only indie rock publication bold enough to suggest that aborting children is better than letting them be raised by liberals. How I long to write for them, to be in their midst. I think we can agree that the only four viable candidates left are Romney, McCain, Obama, and Clinton. Let's look at this: Romney: Mormon. Seedy used car salesman type. Can't be trusted. McCain: A wolf in sheep's clothing. There's a bit of chipmunk in there, too. Obama: Ties to al-Qaeda. Clinton: Do we really want another Clinton presidency? The answer is clear: Four more years!

I suspect that Arlen Spector's heart is in the right place here, but I can't help but feel that his campaign to get to the bottom of this situation will be undermined by his strong physical resemblance to the Noid: Uncanny.

So it's being reported that the Patriots filmed the Rams walk-through the day before their Super Bowl game a few years ago. The period between then and the beginning of this season would obviously encompass the three SB victories New England's had this decade, and there's no reason to believe that they stopped taping their opponents at any point prior to the second week of this season.
