    The College Football Thread 10/10 - 10/14

Terry Bradshaw compares USF to Boise State. This is the problem with having NFL guys analyze this stuff.
  2. YES! If we had let Kerry F'n Collins come back to beat us in that game...well, I don't need to tell you that my fantasy team would have been devastated.
  3. Carr's talent is questionable! Anyway, I like Tampa to beat the Titans. I feel like we're good enough to make Vince Young pay for the mistakes he'll invariably make, running back or no running back.

    In Rainbows

My feeling after about five listens is that it's their best album since Kid A.
  5. When was Testaverde's last productive season? It just seems like this guy should be, at best, a name on a depth chart at this point in his career. In Carolina, there's a really good chance that he'll be on the field.
  6. Tampa Bay signs Zack Crockett to fill the gaping hole at running back. Super Bowl, here we come! On the plus side, Carolina signed Vinnie Testaverde. No Chris Leak sighting, sadly.

    In Rainbows

This sounds great so far. I'm not hearing anything comparable to The Eraser. It seems like a natural progression from the last Radiohead album. Take that for what you will.
  8. I like that one! I'm sorry, but I can't think of any way to work the Baltimore Ravens into this post. I'm very, very sorry.
  9. The Los Angeles Disaster. The Los Angeles Trojans. The Los Angeles Gang Violence. It should be something that'll still work when the team moves to San Antonio in a decade.
  10. No, the LA Jaguars would still be in the AFC South. The Chiefs would still be in the AFC West.
  11. I can't imagine why they'd change either team's division in that scenario. These things don't need to be geographically accurate.
  12. Or go to a sports bar. Or follow the tiny, colored moving lines on NFL.com.
  13. And yet there's a noted lack of Eddy Guerrero-Mark Henry four star classics.
  14. Tampa needs another body at RB. Mewelde Moore and Tatum Bell are rumors, although Minnesota apparently wants too much for the former. Speaking as a fan of both the Gators and Bucs, I hope Carolina does pick Chris Leak up and inserts him into the starting lineup immediately.

NFL Week 5 Fails to Rebuild New Orleans

Delhomme and Leinart. I've got trades for JP Losman and Byron Leftwich in the works as we speak.

NFL Week 5 Fails to Rebuild New Orleans

Man, my Trent Green-Cadillac Williams-Mack Strong-Terry Glenn-Kevin Everett fantasy team is going all to hell.

NFL Week 5 Fails to Rebuild New Orleans

It was ugly and sloppy as hell, but that was fun to watch. Best pro game of the year so far.

NFL Week 5 Fails to Rebuild New Orleans

Yeah, have you seen David Carr play for the Panthers this season? They're not going anywhere. I'd say New Orleans has a better chance of pulling it together, but they're already in a pretty deep hole. Tampa's third-string running back, Earnest Graham, is a guy that fans were actually wanting to see more of after he tore up St. Louis's admittedly not-very-good run defense in the 4th quarter of that game. Ken Darby, who I guess is now the second string HB, had a good preseason. Maybe I'm deluding myself, but I think Tampa's running game will be good enough for them to win the NFC South. I'm not suddenly off of the team because they had a couple of injuries and lost at Indianapolis.

NFL Week 5 Fails to Rebuild New Orleans

Tampa goes 10-6 this year. They'll sweep their division no problem, with every other team being a complete mess. The re-tooled o-line held its own against the Colts d-line yesterday. I think Freeney (who Petitgout's replacement, Donald Penn, was up against) got credit for half a sack, and Garcia had time to throw more often than not. The running game, despite yesterday's abysmal performance, will be all right.

Let's assume that LSU runs the table...any guess as to who plays them in the BCS Championship Game?

Why do you still post in/read this folder?

NFL Week 4 Failed Rexperiment & Chat

I can see them going 15-1 or 14-2, but they'll lose somewhere along the line. They play @Dallas, @Indy, @Baltimore, and they have Philly and Pittsburgh at home. That godawful division means that they almost never have two tough games in a row, but there's a few difficult games on the schedule. I say they lose @ Indianapolis, but otherwise run the table.

What about Tom Brady? Based on the first three weeks, the guy could put up unreal numbers this year.

NFL Week 4 Failed Rexperiment & Chat

Man, Carolina was unbelievably awful on offense today. That David Carr dive was the only highlight for them, with that touchdown coming down 20 with less than 30 seconds to go. They'd better hope that Delhomme can get back in, because they're not going anywhere with Carr at quarterback. Cadillac going down for the season kind of sucks, but we'll be fine with a Pittman/Graham rotation. Petitgout going down really hurts, because he was the catalyst for the o-line playing a lot better this year. Still, I'm really liking this team right now. Just not next week.
