The No Holds Barred Folder Sucks Dick

I feel that I have shamed myself and disappointed my peers by recently starting two really awful threads in this folder. But honestly, I was just trying to help. If the Poster of the Year can't improve things around here, who can?

    The 2009 NFL Offseason

I predicted that Vick would never take another snap in the NFL when the dogfighting thing first broke, and I don't see any reason to change my mind on that. Signing him would be a tremendous risk for any team to take, both from a football standpoint and from a business standpoint. Why run the risk of alienating your fanbase by picking up a guy who is admittedly a great athlete, but was ultimately proven to be a marginal football player? And don't think that GMs haven't noticed how guys like Roddy White and Michael Jenkins have thrived working with a real quarterback. In other news, Marvin Harrison is now officially an ex-Colt. I like naiwf's idea about him ending up with the Giants. I'm sure Harrison will want to play for a winner, and it's pretty easy to see how he could fit in for them with both Burress and Toomer gone. Also, I guess there's a decent chance that the Redskins will be signing Haynesworth to a huge contract once free agency starts. Good or bad idea?
  3. So you best to be pruning that shit. If you want to have an outlandishly large hairdo, fine. That's your business. But when you have a signature so outlandishly large that it stretches my screen out to the point that I have to use my mouse to scroll over a little bit, then it becomes my business. And unlike some of these neutered authority figures around here, I don't believe in diplomacy. I believe in kicking ass. So I'm not afraid to tell you that I think you're a teddy bear that I find very attractive in a way that I can't explain. Also, it is my opinion that the word filters have run their course.

    Anybody here seen "The Wrestler"?

I haven't seen one serious response to my original post in this thread. I should have known that it was a waste of time trying to have a serious discussion about high-brow cinema here. Let's try this instead: Y'all fellers seen Paul Blart: Mall Cop? It's got that fat waste from that one awful show, but instead of being a UPS guy, he works mall security. And then something happens and I guess he dies, but his ghost comes back and haunts a Sbarro.

    Anybody here seen "The Wrestler"?

A thought: If TSM were to have a Mount Rushmore, all four faces would belong to me. There would be Happy Kinetic, Caffeinated Kinetic, Drunk Kinetic, and Recently Bathed Kinetic. Nobody else would be allowed on this carving. You can't even take pictures of it. Why don't you just go home?

Listen, what are you implying by asking that question? I don't know you. Don't pretend that we know each other.

Maybe not Miami. Let's get him in an Eagles uniform, okay? See what happens.

    The 2009 NFL Offseason

Chester Taylor won me the TSM Fantasy Football League last year. I love Chester Taylor. I firmly believe that he should be in a situation where he gets more touches. He was usually great when called upon last year for the Vikings. Put him in Miami and I genuinely think that the Dolphins are Super Bowl contenders. Really.

WWE General Discussion - February 2009

Legacy b-team? Who, DiBiase and Rhodes? Y'know, I like Orton plenty, but Legacy is a pretty shitty stable as it currently stands. What have DiBiase and Rhodes done on TV recently other than get beat up convincingly and repeatedly by Shane McMahon? If they're Orton's insurance policy, then he needs to consider the gecko or the caveman or some other shit. Those guys are terrible. And that "Priceless" theme! Jesus Christ, how can you take those guys seriously when that's their entrance music?

    The 2009 NFL Offseason

Another guy who'd look good in an Eagles uniform. If they can somehow sign Boldin, Houshmandzadeh, Marvin Harrison, Tory Holt, and swing a trade for either Chad Johnson or Randy Moss, they'll only be one solid drafted WR away from having an okayish group of guys for McNabb to skip the ball five yards in front of.

    The 2009 NFL Offseason

Yeah, and there's so much depth at WR that someone Tampa likes will probably be available when they draft in the second round. Unless one of those two RBs somehow falls to them or there's someone they really like at DT, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Bucs trade out of the first round. Prediction: The team that drafts Beanie Wells is going to wish that they hadn't. I don't think he's going to be any good. Also, Detroit should think long and hard about drafting someone other than Matt Stafford. The guy is far from a sure thing, and the Lions really can't afford to take a chance on a QB who could very well end up being another Joey Harrington.

    The 2009 NFL Offseason

I could see that too, and with the Manning connection and all. Also, there's a big name WR about to hit the open market and Philadelphia fans think they should make a run at him? Stop the fucking presses. First time for everything, I guess. Pretty good mock draft, Gene. Although if Tampa ends up re-signing Phillip Buchanon, which it looks like they will, I'd throw my TV through a window if they drafted another DB in the first round. Running back, defensive tackle, and wide receiver would be much more pressing needs.

Mellow's sig is stretching out my screen

See, the squeaky wheel really does get the grease. Thank you, mellow. Now, as to the word filters: when I start seeing that anti-very attractive in a way that I can't explain marriage activists will probably be upset with Sean Penn's Best Actor win last night, then this thing has gone too far. I wish I could laugh, but that joke isn't funny anymore.

Mellow's sig is stretching out my screen

Yes, BUT the stretching is due not to the image in mellow's sig, but rather the paragraph below it. I suppose I could just turn signatures off, but this place loses a certain charm without the MMA pictures and draft results at the end of every post.

Mellow's sig is stretching out my screen

I wasn't watching any video. I just keep Windows Media Player open all the time for some reason that I'm not going to discuss, because that isn't what we're talking about.

Mellow's sig is stretching out my screen

Just posting a picture of Moai head tissue dispensers and leaving is not productive discourse, pal. I'm trying to create a dialogue with the rest of TSM on what I feel is a pretty serious matter. And I'm going to stay in this thread for as long it takes me to get some real answers from whoever's in charge.

Mellow's sig is stretching out my screen

You'll notice that I've gone to the trouble of circling the affected area. You'll also notice that I felt the need to spell check "pruning."

I have a normal computer screen. Listen, don't try to turn this around on me. I haven't done anything wrong.

    LOST

So I'm guessing that Locke turning the wheel last week caused the island to stop the time skips, but it's now stuck in a period where there's a major DHARMA presence there. Which would explain the Faraday thing from the beginning of this season, and likely also Faraday's encounter with young Charlotte. Pretty nice episode. All the Locke stuff next week should be great.

    Jimmy Jammy Jimmy Bear

Is that actually true? Oh, man. That might be the worst idea I've ever heard.

    Jimmy Jammy Jimmy Bear

The Ranger looks pretty good, but both Skye Sweetnam and Jimmy Jam Jimmy Jam Bear look like half-assed math class doodles. Something pretty dire needs to be done with the bear's face.

    The 2009 NFL Offseason

Teddy bears is gettin' tagged, y'all. The Bucs put the franchise tag on Antonio Bryant and the Chargers did the same for Darren Sproles. I'd say good moves for both. I couldn't tell you what Tampa's receiver situation would be like if they didn't retain Bryant, and Sproles more than earned his money last season.

    The 2009 NFL Offseason

Once upon a time, Deuce would scare the shit out of me when he played Tampa, but those days are long since gone. With Gruden being out of the league, I can't imagine anyone picking the guy up, as he appeared to have nothing left in the tank last year.

    Personal Attacks on Jingus.

Also, my account at the new Pit was deleted. I sort of understand what you guys are doing over there, but a poster with my name recognition should never suffer such a fate. Even if I he/she only joined to use the search function every few weeks to see if anyone had mentioned him/her. I invite Ron Barker to step to me in the streets of Calgary and get fucked up.
