I've seen black people run in front of cars so they can sue the drivers.

Tell me about it. I still drink more than I should, but it's now a planned event. When I was in my total alcoholic phase, I would pick a particular liquor and drink it until the smell of it made me sick, and then switch to another one. It's why I settled on Jim Beam: never made me gag. I'm mostly over it by now, I can tolerate most things without triggering my gag reflex (with the exception of sour apple flavored vodka).

You clearly haven't watched a lot of zombie movies. Even ones I think are worth watching are worse than that. Try Burial Ground: The Nights of Terror. Or possibly Burial Grounds: The Night of Terror, I don't remember which. Italian job, featuring an underage boy clearly voiced by a grown woman, and he tries to breastfeed off his mother, and bites her tit off (and the boy is like 12). Must be the coke.

It was one of the Police Academy movies, all of which sucked, except possibly the first one... but it was the part where Hightower does the voodoo ritual over the bodybag and then Tackleberry cuts out of it with a chainsaw. That cracked me up.

Personally, I thought that was hilarious, and I usually hate Tarantino as an actor. Kind of a "so stupid it's funny" thing. The part of that movie that distracted me the most was them making a big deal about the girl breaking her wrist in the door handle, and then it's fine later on. I know they were intentionally using a bunch of plotholes and shit like that, but I watch that genre of film regularly and it was... distracting.

I'll try, but I might fail. If a song is overplayed, that means that it might not have been so bad the first few times you heard it, but became so. If a song is good enough, you should be able to hear it several times in a short period of time and still think so. Perhaps not "bad" so much as not excessively good. Through saturation, mildly forgivable faults become prevalent, or perhaps it just didn't have much of a shelf life in the first place. Perhaps these songs could more accurately be labeled "deceptively good" rather than "bad". Like say, singles from, oh... Stabbing Westward or some band like that. I remember them fondly, but if I actually listened to them all that much, I might say "You know what, this sucks."

I'm going on a quest for cheap hooch to celebrate my recent DUI. E & J Gallo, at least, which tell you where you can buy Thunderbird and Night Train, if you email them. Step two: chat up the bums. Step three: track down some Ripple. Cause I'm straight up hood, bitch.

"Crazy Train" annoys me by not being as good as the riff.

I used to run into them all the time when I lived in Tampa. Ran into Hogan twice, once on a plane, and once I drove my grandma to the doctor and he was there. Saw the Rock at Universal Studios. He looked like he had bodyguards, and they were letting him go in the back way to everything, but he was just riding the rides, and there was kids with him. Ran into Edge at the gas station. A girl I knew claimed she fucked him, but I kind of doubt it. Honest to god, Vader in an all night grocery. Probably some more. I generally never talk to anyone famous if I just run into them, unless I really, really like them.

Sixth Sense made a lot of money, it could have played a part in getting them made. Probably not, though. I didn't like Secret Window. It was a pretty good story, two good actors. It just didn't come together well. Of course, the Sixth Sense was pretty clearly a rip off of this Goosbumps book. Still, R.L. Stine was writing one of those every two weeks (literally, that's what he said), so probably no original ideas.

I spent last night in jail, and none of the food was any good whatsoever. There was nasty ass powdered fruit juice, though, it was just like the bug juice at camp. Oh, I was there for a DUI.

You know I honestly don't even think I've ever seen it. All the bums around here seem to drink Steel Reserve. I always wanted to try Night Train, but I'm sure it's horrible too. Hm, apparently Thunderbird and Night Train are actually vinted by E & J Gallo. That's in Modesto. Odd that I never run across the stuff. website about bum wine Ha ha. I knew the other ones, but I hadn't heard about Cisco. It sounds crazy. MD 20/20 is the only one of those I've ever tried.

I used to buy those NOW albums when I was first getting into pop music. I had to work my way up to just outright buying pop albums. The genre is still pretty song, currently, but it's mostly the same players it's been for a while. I haven't been too impressed with anyone new.

San Francisco sucks so bad. One time I was driving there, and there was a bus behind me, and the driver of the bus gets on a fucking loudspeaker (apparently buses have those) and fucking yelled at me. Like "GO!", over and over again. I stopped the car, got out, and gave him the finger. Oh, the profanity that resulted. Anyway, since I've invested in a navigator, everything is good.

I'm going to have to say "Gimme More". It's Britney, bitch. Or else Dethklok's "Mermaider".
-
No on both counts, but I will check it out by this weekend (providing it's available from my local dvd seller... likely, considering they still sell Traci Lords porn from when she was 15). fake edit: Oh yeah... Criterion Collection. I'm all over it.

I'm totally buying Skye Sweetnam's forthcoming album, by the way.

I hated Uma in that part as well, but I thought I was supposed to, so I didn't really consider it bad. I'd have to say the first thing I thought of was the first of the recent Spider-man movies. I don't really betray how big of a geek I am on here, but the departure from the original Green Goblin/bridge dynamic pissed me off to no end. Also the lame ass 9/11 fueled "You fuck with one NYer, you fuck with all of us!" bullshit.

It is often tragic figures who become gay icons, but there are exceptions. I don't get the pattern either. I think a lot of it is self fulfilling. Like, one gay guy idolizes Judy Garland, and then his friend says "Say, you're right, she is pretty good." and then other people say "Hey, those gay guys love Judy Garland." And then when you're gay, you idolize her because that's what gay people do. That happens a lot in the gay community. Like right now in San Francisco there's an anti smoking ad campaign targeted at gays, which says "When did smoking become a part of us?" Which is true, a lot of gay people smoke because that's seen as something gay people do.

Kylie Minogue is at least a legitimate superstar, although not so much in America. It might be strange and gay to worship, say, Barbra Streisand or Cher, but at least a lot of people do. Skye Sweetnam just doesn't make any sense. And I do own a double disc greatest hits Kylie album. Plus if you play her at half speed she sounds exactly like Rick Astley.

Actually, I remember liking Kiwi Strawberry Gatorade a lot, but I haven't had it in years. I don't even know if they still make it. I remember Michael Jordan saying he liked it the best among several new Gatorade flavors when it first came out. Kiwi Strawberry is always a good flavor, got hooked on it through Snapple, but I've never seen anything that's just kiwi flavored. Plenty of strawberry, no kiwi.

My radio just doesn't work because my car's a piece of shit. Hm... maybe moving to Canada would be a shortcut to musical stardom.

They already did a remake as a TV movie back in '98 or so with Christopher Reeve and Daryl Hannah. When he was crippled? That's interesting. Still, they can remake it again. Speaking of tv movies, y'know, they used to be good. In the 70s and most of the 80s, there were a lot of tv movies I wouldn't mind watching today. Then it all sucked. My favorite one is Bad Ronald. Hey, they should remake that. It's based on a book, and it really happened. Fair game!

You know, the book had a chase scene that was actually quite tense. That's hard to pull off in a book. I guess the point is that there's room for action in it.

Amusing Thanksgivings at the Lushus house, I'm sure. Also, I don't like this Skye Sweetnam girl's face. Her face naturally looks like it's begging to be smacked.
