Yes, Samurai X is the (stupid) english title of Rurouni Kenshin. There's the original TV series, two OVA's and a movie that is more like a long episode of the series. The OVA's (esp. Trust & Betrayal) are very different in tone though, much more serious and more brutal. But beautifully animated, among the best hand-drawn animation I have ever seen.

I'm currently downloading X, but only watched the first two episodes to see if it interests me. Looks really good.

Eh, Saito Hajime is the best character in Kenshin. Without a doubt. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The way he kills the blind guy at the end of the Kyoto arc, just awesome.

There is no NTVDR, he didn't remember it right. It's NTLDR, I know that for sure. You could also format your HD with fdisk/mbr, but all your files will be lost after that.

Then I guess it's exactly the error described in that article. HP probably used a cloned image to install your PC, and didn't create the image on the same type of hard drive that your PC has. If you follow the instructions in the article closely it should work.

The game doesn't feel like a typical PC RPG at all. I don't like most PC RPGs either (I loathe Morrowind, Diablo and am not a big fan of Baldur's Gate), but KOTOR is really awesome and very easy to get into even when you normally play japanese RPGs. If you don't like the Star Wars Universe you should take a look at the developer's next title Jade Empire, which will come out on XBOX as well and looks very promising:

Sounds like a virus or a worm. If you're not a complete newbie open your registry (run-->regedit) and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce. There will probably be some suspicious entries in there. Type their names into Google and search for descriptions and methods to delete the programs. Install an up-to-date anti-virus sofware, too.

It helps if you change the ports BitTorrent uses, which can be done by clicking on Prefs in the client I posted and then changing the port range in the upper right corner to something different.

I've only seen some videos of it and played the first LOTR game by the same team a bit. Both seem to be really, really awful.

Spybot takes care of those programs as well. It gives you the option of starting automatically before every other program the next time you restart Windows and delete the programs that are currently running.
