If you want a mulitplayer shooter get Unreal Championship 2 for XBOX. It's awesome. The single player is not great though. Time Splitters Future Perfect (both systems) is great if you don't want your games too serious. Pariah looks great, I agree. And get Chronicles of Riddick if you haven't already (though I don't think it has multiplayer)

Weekend Boxoffice Report, April 22-24
Insane Bump Machine replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
It's a crazy Russian vampire movie, definitely worth checking out. Be prepared though, it's the first part of a trilogy and as such doesn't have an ending. Part 2 (Day Watch) is supposed to come out later this year in Russia. -
turn off the computer and plug it out, open the tower/desktop and double-check if all the cables going in and out of your CD drive are properly attached. Make sure that you don't plug out any other cables while doing that. Turn your PC back on and try again.

Bayern Munich losing the Champions League Final 1999 against Manchester United, going from a 1-0 lead to a 1-2 defeat in the last two minutes. Thank God we won the League two years later, that softens the blow a bit in hindsight.

Sooo...Tito Ortiz goes heel in the match to help Jarrett, Ken Shamrock comes from the crowd to make the save. The match ends without a real finish, and they have the Jarrett/Styles/Gauntlet winner match with maybe some sort of final stipulation (like WM XX, with Styles going over) and Ortiz/Shamrock at their anniversary show. Sound good?

Probably part of the buildup for 'Hard Justice'.

nice. I could see Vic's younger daughter inadvertently dropping some hints to Vic about Dutch. She's autistic, so who knows what she'll do... -

awesome episode. - we see the mens room from the inside for the first time (mark out) - Capt. Rowley gets more fleshed out as a character - Dutch's zing about the soapbox to Claudette - the whole scene with Shane and Vic in the dark was so intense - Dutch is so getting some from Mrs. Mackey, and I'll mark out -
did you check disk space on the disk you're working on? Maybe it's full.

I was amped for Hitchiker's Guide, but the first previews make it look awful. Oh well, back to the books. Batman Begins is now the movie I need to see most. Episode III is up there as well, just like the new Miyazaki film Howl's Moving Castle. Hopefully Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (sequel to Mr. Vengeance) will come out this year, too. And Takashi Miike also has a new movie coming out (teaser here: http://yokai-movie.com/movies/yokai_big.wmv ), so that's good too.

I love that movie. Jeff Daniels' performance and story arc are awesome especially.

Disturbing "reality" movies about teenagers
Insane Bump Machine replied to Nighthawk's topic in Television & Film
Why it's called Elephant is answered here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0363589/trivia Great cinematography and music, but there isn't really much of a plot and the acting leaves a bit to be desired. Interesting film to watch once, but I don't think it holds up for repeated viewings. -
rock on!

High Tension and especially Three...Extremes I found to be quite scary, although High Tension doesn't hold back in the gore department as well. Extremes is a collection of three short horror films by three of Asia's best directors 28 Days Later I didn't like that much, but I know that I'm in the minority there. It's more of a zombie flick, but it has some nice chilling moments as well.
-
Scream 2 and FvsJ are not real horror movies though, especially FvsJ. If you want so see new and good horror, you have to watch foreign films from Asia and Europe. Stuff like High Tension, 28 Days Later or Three...Extremes.

Even more? I think the matches they're having right now are often too long. Not on PPV, mind you. But do they really need to put on a 20 minute PPV quality Eddie/Angle match on Smackdown just to end it in a DQ to further the Eddie/Rey miscommunication angle? Matches of this quality and intensity should be saved for PPVs where they can actually make money. Putting it on TV is just a lazy way for the writers to fill 25 minutes without having to think much. The same story with the exact same finish could have been told in 10 minutes, leaving the fans wanting more of Eddie/Angle while still furthering the Eddie/Rey storyline. And you would have had 10 more minutes to give somebody else promo time or put on another quick but good match to showcase other talents.

I'd try to take the whole product into a more 'real' direction, presenting it as more of a sports drama than a soap opera. That would include stuff like statistics and rankings, maybe even adding another weight class so that we have cruisers(London, Rey, Tajiri, Psichosis, Super Crazy...), middleweights (Benoit, Eddie, HBK, RVD, Benjamin...) and heavyweights (Batista, Kane, HHH, a returning Lesnar...). Bascally I'd steal some things from UFC and Pride, but there would still be storylines, promos and skits. But the storylines would be more like Eddie/The Rock, The Rock/Jericho, Batista/HHH stuff, and less Kane/Lita or Heidenreich/Booker. You know, feuds about respect, betrayals, jealousy and titles. Not about abductions, car crashes and rapes. I guess that would be an old school direction, but with some new twists.

The "What Film(s) Did You Watch Today" Thread
Insane Bump Machine replied to a topic in Television & Film
Last House On The Left I think I've never seen a movie that constantly changed from hilariously bad to shockingly good like this one. Most of the scenes with the villains and the girls are great, very intense and violent. But all the stuff with the policemen and the acting in some sequences is just SO bad. Awesome soundtrack but some strange choices concerning the placement of some songs. Despite its flaws it's still recommended viewing to see Wes Craven developing his craft, and there are some scenes that are really fucking good. Hopefully there will be a true uncut version released some day because even in the longest available version the cuts are painfully obious. -
Try Dimensions' way first. If that doesn't work: If you tell us what sound card you have we can tell you where to get it. If the sound card was already built in when you purchased the PC you can look for the description in the manuals. In that case the sound driver is probably on one of the CD's you got with the system, although newer versions coul be available on the net.

The Shield Season 4 Offical Thread

The first great episode of the season. Tension rising all around, Acaveda going crazy, ugly ending and Dutch singing. Everything you need in a Shield episode. -

It could be a problem with your codecs , try installing FFDShow* first. If it's a problem with the video file itself you can fix it with Avi-Mux** if it's an avi. Open the program, drag your video file into the box-->click on file--->generate data source--->enter desired delay of audio stream--->start * http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=759&s=50 ** http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~noe/Video-...GUI-1.16.11.zip

no, never heard of that program. check the manual. and now stop worrying so much, this is not rocket science. The files are there, everything's alright. If there was an error the program would have told you anyway.
-
Just use the check option of the burning program (Nero is great). It compares the files you burnt with the original files on your PC and warns you if they're not identical.

Have never seen any of it, but I often read that Gundam SEED is the only Gundam/Robotech worth watching. razazteca is right, of course. Macross Plus and Zero especially.
