Well, considering only 36 of the 100 aren't metal, compared to nearly 60 of the last round, this is probably the best portion of the list. Plus, it mentions Nevermore and At The Gates, which no other "Best Metal Songs" list I've ever seen has done, so it's not too bad for THIS round. Waaaay too much Metal Church and Judas Priest love, though.

Public Schools Cannot Discriminate....

Re: Redheads I'm best friends with one that I'd describe as "middle ground." I, personally, find her to be beautiful, but most others would just go "meh, alright." So that gets rid of THAT belief that all redheads are either gorgeous or nasty. As for the topic at hand...meh. If she felt so righteous about her "cause," then why didn't she just start her own gathering to speak her beliefs? People these days want too much attention. -
I dunno...you were about two and a half hours (2 hours and 36 minutes, to be precise) late with your ownage of me, so your points for this round aren't as high as they would be had you replied with your full-out "bitch mode" reply that you reserve for more annoying replies. And I use the term "democracy" as "a system of government where each citizen has a vote in what happens." To equate democracy, as it is, with Americana is, I feel, wrong. No true democracy has ever lasted outside of, say, a small club that children who are friends would form (where, if democracy failed, all discussions were settled with Rock, Paper, Scissors), and I know that saying "democracy" is easier than saying "democratic republic of a confederation of states," but just flat-out saying "democracy" helps spread ignorance among the weaker-minded. Which, as we all know, overpopulate this island Earth.

Oh wow, two posters think I'm bitter because the product pisses me off constantly. BOO-FUCKING-HOO! Of course I'm bitter. That's what happens when you love something so much as TNA, and yet it always disappoints you. Die...Mantel...Die.

I love this movie. Then again, I also love In The Army Now, Suburban Commando, and Thunder In Paradise, so maybe I have too much of a thing for "so-unfunny-it's-hilarious" comedies... But I DO hate the Scary Movie series, so I'm not ALL bad...right?

While playing No Mercy once, my CAW of Cliff Young had HHH for a Turnbuckle Powerbomb, and then HHH appeared behind Cliff and did the full Turnbuckle Powerbomb motion onto Cliff's back, which caused him to get knocked down. HHH then pinned me. Even in video games, I get HHHeld down.

"Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix Experience 202. "Panama" by Van Halen Na-na-na-NOT metal. River, had the list been titled "500 Greatest Hard Rock Songs," none of us would really have a problem, because if we're talking hard rock, then this is a very good list. However, saying Nevermore's "Dreaming Neon Black" is better than "Believe In Nothing" (although that might be higher on the list) or "Timothy Leary" or "Beyond Within" (which is off of the same album as "Dreaming Neon Black")? Sorry, no.

Agreed. Squid = Metal ...BEST...METAPHOR...EVER...

The problem being, of course, that none of the above mentioned bands are, have been, or will ever be metal, so the origin of the term for them is null and void. I stand by my Black Sabbath review paraphrase.

This is me caring. .... Oh wait, I don't. Fuck Mantel, Fuck Jarrett.

Waltman didn't even try last time because he has major heat with Russo. Or maybe Joanie did, but hey, Waltman's first TNA run wasn't too bad. He had consecutive *** matches with AJ Styles, and busted out the TOPE CON HILO~! like he used to do. He's nothing like he used to be, but when he's put against an opponent that can go, he delivers. Buff...no. No, no, no, NO. His last TNA appearance was in the Tag Gauntlet for the Gold back in Week 12 (or 13, one of the two) as BG James' partner, and he could barely MOVE.

Just download some KsE tracks. The album, overall, isn't worth buying. "The Element Of One," "Numbered Days," "My Last Serenade," and "Just Barely Breathing" are the stand-out tracks of their Roadrunner LP. I haven't heard their EP yet, but half of the album seems to have been repeated for Alive Or Just Breathing?, so I'd say skip it.

Yes, Stevie, I would call bands like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Motley Crue, and others "proto-metal", because while they were not metal themselves, they DID lend prototypical foundations for following metal bands to build off of (ESPECIALLY AC/DC and Deep Purple, and I actually consider Deep Purple to be the band closest to the borderline of what is metal and what is hard rock). Wait...we're having discussions over what is and isn't metal...without flaming and pointless comments? Wow. A first for messageboards everywhere! EDIT: Also, many punk bands could be called "proto-metal," especially since Thrash/Speed is based off of punk and metal. Listen to The Plasmatics tune "The Damned," and TELL ME that isn't a metal tune. Plasmatics were INCREDIBLY borderline, even moreso than Deep Purple (only between punk and metal), and it's a shame they broke up and then Wendy O killed herself before a reunion could occur. AMAZING band.

The problem is that they share many of the same traits as metal, but also many traits of non-metal bands, and thus cannot be FULLY metal. Oh, and if you wanan check out a grind/folk/funk/punk/rock/metal band, check out Sound Like The Hu-Man. The tunes on the site aren't as polished as they are on the album, but they're actually really, REALLY good tunes. "Essay" and "Twilight" are very good, as are "True Folkin' Metal" and "One Night Only." Of course, this is my buddy Steve-O's band, so I'm biased, but check 'em out, ya bastards!

Just one quick comment, and then I'll leave. Do not throw around the term "democracy" so easily. The United States is not, and has never been, a democracy. We are a republic, as the Pledge Of Allegiance ever-so-blatantly states. That's just been getting on my nerves ever since 9/11, because every single would-be and true patriot (and the true patriots I have nothing but the utmost respect for, but the would-be's need a kick in the head; buying a flag does NOT make you a patriot) threw around "democracy" like it were a ragdoll. I await the complete owning of myself by Marney, Tom, and various others. Good day.

Xavier was actually having a badass match with John Walters the night I went to an RoH show. He's not near the level of competition that the RoH World title requires, and putting the belt on him was bad booking, but there was enough great wrestling elsewhere on the card to make up for it. TNA has no such attraction, as we're lucky to get a "wow, that was good" match these days. Michael Shane is the scurge of the X-Division, and I hope he pisses somebody off backstage so he gets jobbed out after losing the X-Division title, and never returns to TNA again. FUCK...MICHAEL...SHANE...

I remember Ecto Cooler. Dude, I'd buy that whenever I saw it until they changed its name to something more "hip." FUCKERS! BOOO!!! Remember Filmation's Ghostbusters?

I think Faith No More would be somebody that pioneered a style most wouldn't consider "wrestling"...Onita?

In order for something to be metal, it NEEDS to have a branch to Black Sabbath in some way. Sabbath started it (and the entire "according to most definitions, Black Sabbath ISN'T metal" comment is BULLSHIT, since they'd be doom metal), and as the originators are the ones that every following band will be compared to. In the 500-401 list, I made a Family Tree of the bigger metal styles (Heavy, NWOBHM, Thrash/Speed, Black, Death), and I'll post a full Family Tree in due time (including Power, Doom, Brutal, Rapcore, Prog, and other forms I can think of). But in order for a band to be metal, it NEEDS a link to Black Sabbath. Coffin, you have my utmost permission to kick these local guitarists in the balls, because Black Sabbath is more blues than anything else.

The origin of the term "heavy metal" actually comes from a review of Sabbath's first album, which said (I'm paraphrasing here) "the music sounds as if somebody took a bunch of heavy metal pots and pans and threw them down a flight of stairs while recording it." Funny how metal was once shunned, and now it's praised by millions the world over. And at the TSM Metal Summit, me and Agent should lead, since he represents the more brutal music, while I represent the more melodic music.

Vuva La Bam is a combination of pranks done on Bam Margera's friends and family, and Jackass stuff. The one episode I saw featured Bam making his father fast for a day, and was fucking hilarious.

The fact that Mantel can't book a show without pissing me off sours the whole card for me, actually.
