I'm trying to either explain why certain matches have more heat than others, or explain ring psychology in-depth and why/how most wrestlers don't have much knowledge of it anymore.

YET. At least Zakk's sense of on-stage attire is better than the Nuge's was. I mean...loincloth vs. bell-bottoms, black leather vest, t-shirt, steel chain as a wallet-chain...no contest. Oh, and fuck Teddy's beard. Zakk's is a REAL MAN'S BEARD! Oh, and Zakk played the guitarist of Steel Dragon that looks like Zakk Wylde.

The Shining is not only scarier than The Exorcist, but also a better movie overall. So yes, I'd say I agree with that. For one thing, The Exorcist is only scary if you're religious, as others have stated. And, trust me, most viewers of horror movies aren't all that religious. The Shining is based off of a simple human fear: being alone. We've all been alone in our houses sometimes, or alone somewhere else, and heard some bumps or creaks that shouldn't have been happening. Thus, it makes sense.

Week 4 and Week 8 are still my favorite TNA eps. Week 4 (7/10/02) had Styles/Lynn vs. Slash/Tempest (Devon Storm), Ron Killings (still as K-Krush) carrying Hermie Sadler to a watchable match, and a fucking awesome 6-man X-Division match (Jerry Lynn vs. Tony Mamaluke vs. Elix Skipper vs. Kid Romeo vs. Christopher Daniels vs. LowKi). Week 8 (8/7/02) had a **** Triple Threat match for the X-Division title (LowKi vs. AJ Styles vs. Jerry Lynn) and Ron Killings becoming the first ever black NWA World Heavyweight champion.

Zakk played (**GASP!**) the guitarist of Steel Dragon in Rock Star.

See, I could buy Ripley as an ass-kicker in the Alien series. She was hardened by the fact that her best friends were killed off one-by-one, that her daughter had died (see Aliens: Special Edition), and that she had come close to death and escaped. She was pissed because the alien took away her daughter from her, and she wanted to exterminate them all. Sensical hardening to create the "tough female lead." Fuck Paul Anderson.

Waltman's run was shitty? You must've missed the fact that he held the belt for all of...what? 2-3 weeks? And he only defended against AJ Styles, both *** matches by my account. Waltman actually hauled ass in TNA, and even busted out a somersault plancha (which he hadn't done since mid 1998, I think).

Alien 3 closed the Alien series fine enough. Alien Resurrection made people wonder want to murder anybody that tried to "resurrect" (pun intended) the franchise. Fucking HELL... NOOOOO. They couldn't take a look at the AWESOME fucking Aliens vs. Predator comics. NOOOOO. They couldn't take a look at the fucking GREAT Aliens vs. Predator games. Nope, not one bit. What do they do? They completely, COMPLETELY go against the grain of the series by making a fucking prequel to one franchise, while making another stupid sequel to another. I hate Fox sometimes... As for the AvP comics, check out the following series to see how awesome they are: Aliens vs. Predator Aliens vs. Predator: Deadliest Of The Species Aliens vs. Predator: Duel* Aliens: Berserker* Aliens vs. Predator: War* * = AvP: Duel and Berserker were crossed over into AvP: War. The survivors of the Berserker crew end and a background character of the AvP: Duel plot intertwine.

I would cream myself is BLS became huge because Zakk was kicked out. However, there's one thing about BLS I have some minor issues with: It's just Zakk and whoever he can find to play drums. That's why the first two albums were just nice riffs around a solo, because Zakk was like "LOOK MA, I CAN SOLO!" Then 1919 came out, and well...awesomeness. But yeah...Zakk should be like "fuck you, Oz," and bail.

And Sabin, fucky. HAIL SABIN! Oh, and I was going to post this last night, but my connection kept fucking up. In response to 1inch saying Batista has a future in the business... Yes, Batista does have a future in this business. But, the question is, which move will his injury cause the banning off? The headlock? The Irish whip? The dropkick?

Yes, I'd consider Shane worse than Siaki. At least Siaki had some semblance of workrate (if you notice a lot of his Flying Elvis work, he busted his ass, and I LOVED the 2/3 falls match vs. Yang), overness, AND had a string of solid matches (even if they were carry-jobs) before he was even thought of as a contender. Plus, I'll go the distance and say Siaki is marketable. Shane? No. His moves look like crap, his selling is crap, his mic skills are crap, he looks like Matt Hardy's retarded clone, and he's not over. At the very least, Siaki's moves looked good. He didn't know what the fuck to do BETWEEN those moves, but he had good delivery. Shane doesn't know what to do between moves, and he has poor delivery. Shane = worst X-Division champion, and worst champion of the TNA era.

I would love to see the tour continue, only without Metallica. If it's the same line-up as the US legs of the tour, then I have little doubt that few people would show up, especially in Brazil.

I'd rather Zakk do BLS full-time than have to be dragged down by a man that can barely talk. Wow, so Zakk drinks a lot...you're point? That's part of his appeal, honestly. And I wouldn't be too surprised if Black Label Society broke out big one day. "Stillborn" is actually a pretty decent hit on the radio, and I know quite a lot of people that have been digging BLS heavily since 1919 Eternal (which is their best album, and came out in '02).

Yep, not ordering this show. And I'll give you a reason why for each announced match/angle... Who will Jimmy Hart bring to TNA? I don't fucking care. It's going to be somebody the fans don't care about, somebody that I don't care about, and somebody that will help produce a shitfest in the ring. Plus, Jeff Jarrett is involved. FUCK JEFF JARRETT. Gallows of Retribution/Hangman's Horror Raven vs. Vampiro Vampiro is shit in the ring, and I've had enough Dog Collar matches. Sure, the psychology of using the Dog Collar match over and over again makes complete sense, but you know what? Dog Collar matches suck shit, since it limits what both workers can actually do in the ring (which, for Vampiro, allows him to hit a bitchslap and a pump kick, and MAYBE a chop). I love Raven, he's my favorite wrestler of all-time, but this match will suck. X-Division Championship Michael Shane © vs. Sonjay Dutt I don't mind Sonjay. Nothing he's shown me in the past two weeks has impressed me to the point of giving him a shot at the X-Division title, much less the title should they job Shane, but the jury's still out. As for Michael Shane...check the signature. He is, by far, the worst X-Division champion yet. Dare I say he's the worst champion (in any division) in TNA ever? Suckfest, as Sonjay will be made to look like shit just to put RHK over. America's Most Wanted vs. Glenn Gilberti So, explain to me why the #1 face tag team in the company is battling a manager and an enforcer? This match will be decent, but nothing special (as-is every other AMW match not involving an opposing team consisting of superior workers). I hate AMW anyways, and Glenn is terrible in the ring. Kid Kash vs. Abyss How sad is it when the best match on the card features a HOSS that looks like Mankind on steroids, and a second-rate Chris Jericho? This will probably be a decent match, and I'm a fan of both men, but really...nothing too special. Red Shirt Secuirty vs. Erik Watts/Don Harris W O R S T M A T C H O N T H E C A R D. See that? "WORST MATCH ON THE CARD." Watts has nothing going for him but being agile for a big man and having some weird sort of charisma (which I actually like him for, as he's such a nerdy "cool guy" that it works), and Harris can be in some entertaining brawls, but Red Shirts? Ryan Wilson has less talent than Nathan Jones, and Kevin Northcutt needs to bump. Trainwreck, and not worth paying $10 to see. So yes. TNA has finally given me a card that will prevent me from ordering. Explain the positives of this card, TNA faithful (which I once was), and don't just mention angles (because it doesn't matter how good an angle is if the matches suck).

This show was fucking phenomenal. WAAAAY better than last year's Slayer tour. Jagermeister got 2 great bands (Slayer, Arch Enemy), 1 decent band (Hatebreed), and 1 tolerable band (Dry Kill Logic) together for what would have been the best tour this year had it not been for the Headbanger's Ball tour (featuring nothing but MASS METAL). Dry Kill Logic was up first, and played for about 20 minutes. Decent stuff, but all I could hear was bass and drums, with some vocals. I couldn't hear a damn thing on the guitar. After the show, the guys from Dry Kill Logic passed out sampler discs of their new album, which I got after asking the drummer for a cigarette. Arch Enemy came out, causing me to cream myself for Angela. She's attractive in pictures, but FUCKING GORGEOUS live. They didn't play anything from Wages Of Sin or earlier, so I honestly didn't know most of what they were playing. Either way, INSANE. Good show, good show. And Angela...**drools**... Hatebreed came on next, so we (me, Petone, Pat, Steve-O) took a breather. We stood to the side, and made fun of the little poseurcore fucks (the ones that don't know who Toxic Narcotic are, and are FROM Boston) while Hatebreed played one long song (in reality, they played a whole bunch of different ones, but most of 'em sound the same). They ended with "Before Dishonor" and "I Will Be Heard," which are the only Hatebreed songs I dig, really. So I chanted along. No circle pit was started. And then...Slayer. Slayer took about half an hour to set up, and 15 minutes of that was wait while the smoke machine kept pouring smoke everywhere. They started with "Disciple," as usual, and then moved into "Fight Till Death." I forget the order of the songs, but the last tune before they began playing the full album of Reign In Blood was "South Of Heaven." They included "Hell Awaits" and "Necrophiliac" amongst "Dead Skin Mask" and "War Ensemble" (which was second). Excellent, excellent, EXCELLENT show.

See, I'd have had no problem with Styles playing second-fiddle to Russo... ...had Styles not been the NWA World Heavyweight champion. Sorry, but the "wrestlers is being manipulated by manager for manager's personal motives" angle works when the wrestler is NOT the World champion.

Too bad LOW is slow, and after the first week, you really don't want to play anymore.

Either way, the movie's the same. OH, WOW! SHE WALKS DOWN THE STAIRS BACKWARDS! OH, WOW! WE SEE DALLAS COCOONED!

On the other hand, Devin, I watched the show. I've watched every TNA show from Week 4 and on. And I HATED last night's show. The matches, to me, were rather dull, the wrong ending occurred and/or the wrong people went over, and the only angles of any interest now are Raven/New Church and the New "Franchise." Everything else is "why should I order next week?"
