    Gamecube now $99.99

Since I really only buy a system based on its wrestling games (hence why N64 and PS2 are my preferred systems), I'll prolly end up asking for a GC for X-Mas.

    8 Second Ride

Well, both moves are kinda similar. Both can be done out of a fireman's carry, and the Kryptonite Krunch is basically a reverse Northern Lights Bomb (if Dace can correct me, I'll admit my fault), and the Northern Lights Bomb is EXTREMELY similar to the Emerald Fusion.

100 Most Challenged Books to be Banned

As a Lovecraft mark, I'm somewhat insulted that King is considered to be his equal. Lovecraft created a world of characters and creatures that have been used ever since. Name me ONE horror/sci-fi fan that does not have an idea of what the Necronomicon is. You'll also note the over-abundance of "Cthulhu" in modern horror/sci-fi culture. King's a very good author, and might one day make as big an impact as Lovecraft did, but until that day? No, sorry.

    New Limp Bizkit Reviewed

Durst is definitely in the running for worst frontman. Not from a live standpoint, because he has TONS of charisma, especially on stage, but from a non-music standpoint. He's a whining bitch, and makes idle threats constantly, and then complains when people call him on it. Durst is nothing but a media whore who got popular by letting Wes do the hard work.

Oh my, they are making a movie on..

I'll see it. The WM3 case is an interesting one, as weren't the accused innocent? The judge didn't allow any evidence to support the accused, and didn't the trio have very solid alibi's?

100 Most Challenged Books to be Banned

I've read each of those (and am in the process, only 150 more pages, of reading the bolded one). I found nothing offensive about any. And what's with all of the fuss about American Psycho? Snow White is, at times, more violent than the novel, as are many, MANY children's movies and fairy tales. Sure, he axes a guy's head in until the brain oozes from the skull, shoves rusty coathangers into a woman's breasts, and pours acid over a woman's vagina...but these are all done in PARODY. The character of Patrick Bateman is a great one, rivaling Satan in evilness (I've been told that Wuthering Heights's Heathcliff is the most sinister character of all-time, but he doesn't hold ANYTHING to Pat Bateman) and Gene Simmons in his sexual exploits.

    Running my own promotion.

    1. Get me a plane ticket to Florida. 2. Pay for my motel/hotel room. 3. Give me a ride to/from the shows. 4. Let the L-A-Z preach about metal.

    What would be...

For some "odder" entrance music, but it would still fit nonetheless... Scatman John - "Scatman" Marky Mark - "Don't Sleep" Orgy - "Stitches" the RoboCop theme the US live-action Guyver theme

Are there any good metal bands anymore?

Or the fact that emo and nu-metal don't mix (think rat poision with Milk Duds), and THE WORST VOCALS IN THE HISTORY OF HEAVY MUSIC don't do the band any favors...

    Headbanger’s Ball

Oddly enough, I had a chance to go to the show (I believe it was in Springfield) where the "Destroyer Of Senses" video was being shot. My friend that was going to drive me there, however, had some car trouble. It was a pay-at-the-door deal, too! All ages show!

    Headbanger’s Ball

Yes. HSJ, I'm not a fan of any of those bands. And I can tell you WHY for Sevendust... They are a watered-down, rap-less Stuck Mojo. Think about it. Same state. Same CITY. Both have/had (since the Mojo broke up) a black vocalist. Both have/had (since Corey left Mojo for Stereomud) a Lowery. And many, MANY Sevendust riffs are painfull obvious rip-off's of Rich Ward's early Mojo riffs. Oh, and add to the fact that Sevendust hasn't recorded a listenable album in 6 years, and, well...

Are there any good metal bands anymore?

Well, Czech, I hate Dokken. They blow monkey BUTT. I can handle Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, and other early glam acts...but Dokken? No.

I've done the honor of omitting the shit, and leaving the good. That said...WHY "DESTROYER OF SENSE"?! IT'S THE WORST FUCKING SONG ON THE FUCKING ALBUM~!~!~!!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!! SHOULD'VE USED "THOUGHTS WITHOUT WORDS" IF YOU'RE GOING BY SINGLES, FUCKWADS~!!~!!~!~!~!!~!! I'm not getting this. Every song worth having I've already downloaded, so...

25 most overrated games of all time

Since when is MK a 'beat-em up'? well what is it ? a tactic war simulation ? It's a fighting game. A "beat 'em up" is, more or less, a game like Final Fight (which I miss sorely), Double Dragon, or that AWESOME Aliens Vs. Predator arcade game (of course, my love for it mostly comes from it following story arcs from the Aliens and Predator graphic novels that I used to read constantly).

Are there any good metal bands anymore?

Well, considering I'll listen to pretty much anything (yesterday, within an hour, I was listening to Johnny Cash, ICP, Acid Bath, Slayer, Janet Jackson, Beethoven, Elvis, and some whiney emo band that my girlfriend subjected me to), I think that means CANDIRIA FUCKING SUCKS. They can be all "weird" and "innovative" as they want, their music is still shitty and the band is still one of the worst bands in existence (almost as bad as The Used...ALMOST).
  21. Corey_Lazarus

Are there any good metal bands anymore?

After hearing two Candira songs, I wish death upon the band. I believe the songs were "Water" and "The Paradigm Shift." They were both HORRIBLE. Candiria is worse than fucking SIX FEET UNDER (because at least you can LAUGH at SFU). And yes, I know the original poster mentioned Slayer. But they've been down for a while? Try 2 years. It's called "touring" and "recording a new album." They're coming back on tour very soon (October 17th is when they hit Worcester again, and I'M...SO...THERE). And "swamp metal" has a ways to go before it can be honestly looked at as a true subgenre. We need to have the POSEUR swamp bands to come around. It also has a heavy blues influence (Down and Eyehategod specifically).

    8 Second Ride

Nope, sorry. That's not the move at all. Storm starts off with a pseudo-fireman's carry (if you've seen Nova's Kryptonite Krunch, it's THAT position), and then spins them around while falling a little to the side, hitting a facebuster/DDT/Flatliner (it changes, depending on who he does it to, and how fast he hits it, really) move.
  23. Corey_Lazarus

Are there any good metal bands anymore?

I recommend: Sepultura Acid Bath Stuck Mojo (fuck you, they're metal) Helloween (cheesily hilarious power metal) Fear Factory (pre-Digimortal) Slayer (wow, all these posts and no Slayer) Beyond The Embrace Inheritance (I have their website somewhere, my friends' band, AWESOME) Type O Negative (ALL THESE POSTS AN NO TYPE O?!)

    Children of the WWE

I'd just like to say that I proudly sport my Austin 3:16, Degeneration X, ECW, Raven, Rob Van Dam, Triple Threat, and Taz t-shirts in public. Hell, I want to be BURIED in either my Shadows Fall shirt or my ECW shirt.

    Children of the WWE

But, for every 8 "Children of WWE" that exist, there exists at least 1 "Children of the IWC." My nephew, only 8, enjoys the MATCHES more than the skits. I sat him down next to me once to watch the Super X-Cup show, and he left the room during the interviews and the videos and told me to call him when a match was happening. My cousin, 12, is the same way. He'll watch the skits, and laugh when they're funny, or go "that was pretty cool" when a good promo has been cut. But he pays close attention to the matches. His favorite wrestlers, when he was 9, were Nash and Goldberg. Now? Jericho and Eddie. Of course, I had a huge helping hand in all of this, as I'll go on and on to both of them about how it's the match that actually brings the money, because if there was a show with nothing but the skits and the brawls, nobody would watch. A good promo can make you laugh and raise the ratings, but a good match can make you sit back and go "damn, I wish I was a wrestler." ...man, I wish I never let my ex borrow my taped copy of Rumble '03...now I'll have to buy the DVD to show my young'uns a REAL great match (Angle/Benoit).
