A few effective sequences, but overall, a fairly cliched mess of a movie that really couldn't decide in which direction it wanted to go.

Albums that are unlike any other album in a band's discography

I DID note that, Mr. Smarty Pants. I just felt the need for some positivity. Erase the hate. DGHWYHO is pretty great, although I prefer Memories. -

Death Of A Ladies Man is a good choice, though. -
A good fifteen years too late.

I think everybody's mother really like Barry Manilow.

I can't listen to this album without crying.

Is that the one that ends with all the kids jumping off the cliff? I thought that one was kind of silly, actually. -

Also, I voted for EHME. Seems to me the obvious standout. -

Incandenza puts 'em in their place! -
I'd say The Brown Bunny is perfect for my entry into this thread.

I'd try my hand at an album intermissions list, but it would be all Guided By Voices songs.

Why am I defending Journey? I don't even like them. God dammit, snuffbox.

You can't seriously think this, right?

Eating wings or ribs with a knife and fork is acceptable, if a bit on the fussy side. Eating a burger with a knife and fork, however, is simply inexcusable.

I saw them live for five dollars, passed out on a bench about three songs into the set, and woke up covered in vomit (I assume it was my own, but I can't be sure of that). These were my Nikki Sixx days.

The intention behind the writing of a song becomes entirely irrelevant if the song is good. I listen to Odyssey & Oracle loads during the summer.

I liked the endless driving scenes. -

Yeah, that scene was really great, and I would argue that the almost frustrating lack of activity leading up to it just made the ending of the movie that much more emotionally devastating. I liked the whole thing a lot, although the "boring" accusation is certainly not without merit. Like I said when we were discussing Dead Man (or maybe I didn't say it, but meant to, I'm sure as hell not gonna go look), the two films are for very specific tastes. The Stars Of The Lids of movies, if you will. -
Agent and Milky both like him, I think. What's a good place to start with Mr. Thrillwel, any of you three you happen to see this? I've recently grown more fond of groups like Swans and Throbbing Gristle, and he seems to be the next step to take in that particular musical direction.

Maybe you're illiterate.

I remember with a certain misty eyed fondness. My AIM screen name still has WDI in it, even. I'm such a tool.

You lucky bastard. I have to settle for my crappy burn of my school library's copy.
