Here's the video for the first single.
I am completely incapable of discussing Morrissey in any rational manner, so I'll just mention that he played this song when I saw him last year, and leave it at that.
EDIT: Apparently, it's not confirmed yet whether this will even be on the album. Listen to it anyways.

This is more like the last three or four days, and it's not really in order. I just wanted to see all these covers together, at last!
-
Almost every song I was particularly fond of is gone.

The Witch and Psycho -- The SonicsThis is two different songs. If pressed, I would choose The Witch out of the two, and since someone else nominated it as well, presumably they agree.
Also, I second Alone Again Or.
-
Shocking Blue - Venus
The Shangri-Las - Remember (Walkin' In The Sand)
Electric Prunes - Sold To The Highest Bidder
-
By "that one", I was referring to The Witch.
-
I already nominated that one. And since the subject of Roy Orbison's best song has been brought up, I will also nominate:
Roy Orbison - In Dreams
-
The Supremes - You Can't Hurry Love
The Jackson 5 - I Want You Back
Sam Cooke - A Change Is Gonna Come
-
The Left Banke - Walk Away Renee
The Rolling Stones - Street Fighting Man
The Sonics - The Witch and Psycho
-
I know a guy who has this album. I wonder if he's ever even listened to it? I should ask him.

I'm with the former Gary Floyd. PiL are one of my favorite bands, and how anyone can recommend their first two albums without also mentioning Flowers Of Romance is beyond me.
I also love Joy Division and New Order without hesitation, and would recommend everything by the former band and everything before 1991 or so by the later.
-
Cave wrote it and co-scored it with Bad Seeds/Grinderman bandmate Warren Ellis, but he didn't direct it.
Besides favorites of mine that have already been mentioned (Once Upon A Time In The West, McCabe & Mrs. Miller), I'd like to once again advance Jim Jarmusch's Dead Man on the unsuspecting public. It's slow as molasses, but the steadily growing tension between unease and absurdist humor gets to me like few other movies.
-
I listened to Vs. by Mission Of Burma three times yesterday.
-
I've listened to the new Portishead album twice, and it's really clicking with me in a way none of their other albums do. Steve mentioned earlier that it doesn't quite "jell", and I agree, but I think that creates a really compelling kind of tension that's hard to describe.

One, maybe two songs on Alopecia could be considered to have hip hop influences, in a stretch.
