Sarcasm, dude. Nobody is stupid enough to believe pencil beats gun in any scenario. Except Texans I guess.

The one in the second picture bears a strong resemblence to my uncle's long-time girlfriend. *shudders*

I liked it when that Texas school was training the schoolkids to throw their books, pencils, and whatever other school supplies they had on hand at attackers.

Is it just me or is EHME getting a little out of hand lately?
King Kamala replied to Mik's topic in Site Feedback
All I want this year is EHME. Even he is working us, his gimmick has gotten old. -
Well from the picture you posted in the LSD folder a while back, you look a swell enough guy. Will do.

Dammit, I told Sis it's not safe to post pictures of herself on the internet. She never listens

College students with anything that could be used as a weapon= bad idea. Guns, tasers, knifes, scimitars, I don't care, it's probably a bad idea if you put it in the hands of a frat boy.

Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
King Kamala replied to CBright7831's topic in Television & Film
Blanchett is probably my current favorite actress. She completely stole the show in I'm Not There and also rocked it in The Aviator and the aforementioned Notes on a Scandal. As for her being hot? Eh, she's OK I guess. As for this movie, I don't know. I don't have a good feeling about it but I'll probably end up seeing it during my annual trip to the drive ins or for a matinee. -

I think Pats/Colts is a damn good rivalry as well. Best in this modern age. Kings/Lakers was the only thing really resembling a solid rivalry in the NBA for a good portion of the first half of this decade. -
I'm kind of disappointed that the kids on Freaks and Geeks (With the notable exception of Seth Rogan) didn't turn out to be bigger stars. James Franco is a semi-big star but I thought he would be one of the biggest stars of the '00s. Maybe it was the James Dean TV movie but I thought he had potential to be huge. He has to fire his agent as all of his leading roles have been crap. And why isn't John Frances Daley should be playing the Topher Grace roles (the affable dork), Martin Starr should be doing the Jon Heder roles, Samm Levine should have a fledging career as a character actor.

http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxsco...9903210BOS.html First game I remember going to (Went to a couple of Red Sox games as a toddler that I don't remember) was a real barnburner. The Chicago Bulls, the year after Jordan retired for the second time (starring Toni Kukoc and Ron Harper) against The Boston Celtics (right in the midst of the Pitino era. Paul Pierce's rookie season). Even though they were both absolutely shitty at the time, the game was semi-exciting and I had a ball. I remember it was the afternoon of Oscar night for some reason. They were giving out free Paul Pierce posters that night, I still have mine hanging in my basement. Nobody can accuse me of being a Celtics bandwagon jumper after I sat through this one (Not to mention the epic late March tussel between The Cs and The Hawks I went to last year) Last sporting event I went to was a month ago. It was also The Celtics and it was against The Trailblazers. Damn good game. Until The Celtics ran away with it a bit in the last two or three minutes. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxsco...0801160BOS.html -

I think he's an underrated bumper and he was half-decent on the stick. He's far from the greatest IC Champ of all time and probably isn't even in The Top 5. His reign was supposed to be a joke and in that way, it worked. I can see both sides of the argument, the IWC side who thinks he was terrible (You could have put Jeff Jarrett circa '99 in a time machine, gave him the title and it would have been just as successful. This type of reign was just born to draw heat and virtrol) or the side that thinks he was a decent champ. I lean towards the latter. Alright that's the last time I'm defending Honky in this thread.
-
Of course I remember it (I'm not a fucking idiot) but how many people go to those movies to see Franco? It's like saying people went to see The 40 Year Old Virgin because of Rogan. He played an integral part in the movie but nobody was going to see it because of him.
-
I haven't seen it with my own two eyes (so it may be complete bullshit) but wasn't Butch Reed seen amongst all of the heels during HTM's backstage celebration after he won the title? Hey, speaking of next week's "Let's Talk About...", who wants to pick the topic?
-
I would have agreed with you a year ago but I'm pretty sure Knocked Up probably outgrossed all of the movies James Franco has had a lead in combined.
-
In a similar vein, I strongly suggest Deaf Leopard

Personally I feel Honky is both underrated (by the IWC) and overrated (by the aforementioned new generation of fans). I'd probably put him in the lower half of my personal Top 10 IC Champs list. But we just had that thread six months ago... I mean around the same time, Ric Flair was NWA World Champion and he was getting DQd and counted out all the time and it'd be internet blasphemy to call his title reign(s) a joke. I'm not saying Honky is in the same realm as Flair but there is a little bit of a double standard. Not to mention Flair was the focus of the company and Honky was a secondary heel.
-
I like Honky. He makes me laugh and his shoots are incredibly entertaining. But man does he have a bloated sense of self-importance Don't get me wrong- he was a good perhaps even great Intercontinental Champion but a lot of his success has to be attributed to the quality of his opponents. Jake Roberts, Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan all had mini-feuds or full-fledged feuds with HTM and they were the biggest guys behind Hogan at the time. Even Brutus Beefcake was still pretty over when he fought Honky Tonk Man.

I imagine Jeter will get in the HOF and I haven't heard his name tossed around in any of these steroid scandals. How about Rickey Henderson? His career peaked in the non-steroid era but he played well into the steroid era and I can't recall anybody accusing him of juicing. Then again, he did play with the Bash Brothers for a couple years... Ever see any good fights in the stands during a sporting event? -
The Story of XTREME PRO WRESTLING
King Kamala replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Definitely not. He was already a fairly big superstar before coming to XPW in June or July 2002. Didn't he show up in XPW after he was released from the WWF? I know his run in WWF as K-Kwik wasn't all that memorable or all that good but he did get a push (albeit a brief one) in the biggest wrestling promotion in the world... He also showed up in TNA around that time. If anything, his XPW stint is kind of a footnote in his career. -
That's sort of what I figured. And I hope nobody accuses me of being a WrestleMania V hater. I've probably rented that tape more times than any other. Survivor Series '89, Royal Rumble '92, and WWF Wrestling World Tour ('92 edition with Ric Flair Vs Kerry Von Erich, Bret Hart Vs Rick Martel, and The British Bulldog and LOD Vs The Repo Man and The Nasty Boys) probably could claim that title as well.
