I knew a "heartfelt" thread here would never work. Even if one of us dies, somebody's going to derail the thread about said death. Not that that's neccessarily a bad thing.

Damn what a brainfart, I love Curtis Mayfield. "The Pusher" is what I was thinking of.

I'd agree with it being more middle of the road crap than outright horrible, Walken bumps it up a little bit. I remember the year Joe Dirt came out was a really horrible year for comedy movies. I remember Corky Romano, Monkeybone and the first Van Wilder (and a slew of other bad teen comedies) came out around the same time. Joe Dirt probably wasn't even one of the five worst comedies that year! The early '00s were not really a good time for music either.

I bet I'll like at least 25% of the songs in this thread. So far I like the two Queen songs and I like "Pusherman" and "Magic Carpet Ride" by Steppenwolf. As for songs I think should be outlawed, it begins and ends with "I Just Called To Say I Love You" by Stevie Wonder

I'm half-watching Joe Dirt on Comedy Central right now and has there ever been a worst case of casting than David Spade as a good hearted, Southern Rock loving hick? And Dennis Miller in a supporting role? Yeck, this movie is even worse than I remember it being. Walken is kind of funny in his part but he's good in almost anything (Including Envy).

For some reason, Tim Horton's is by far the least popular fast food chain out here and yet it's survived about ten years. On the rare occassions I go there, it's always empty or near empty. It must have to do with Mainers love affair with Dunkin' Donuts.

Dumbest Comment of the Day at TSM
King Kamala replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in No Holds Barred
Whilst searching Kawalimus Kid on Google, I found this gem by (I presume) our friend posted on another board. Call this Dumbest Comment on The Day Not At TSM Re: And I thought population was high enough... Post by kawalimus on Sept 12, 2007, 4:35pm You know what the answer is? Homosexuality!!! I am serious, USA and other country needs to promote homosexuality amongst young adults cause more people discovering they are gay means less unwanted children. In an ideal modern world in coming years I'd would hope 20% at least of world population is gay. It is absolute necessity. We have billions of people in this world and cannot feed them all. -

I think some crappy team will sign him to a minor league contract. -

Right after I read that, I smelled a little bit of gay around here. -
The most entertaining chugging related incident I saw was when my high school drama teacher chugged a gallon of water in one swig on a dare from one of my classmates.

Great, just great. Now I'll have the Hands Across America song stuck in my head for the rest of the night. "Hands across America, hands across the land I love"

As a young fan growing up in the mid 90s, I always wanted to see Mike Tyson Vs George Foreman for some reason but I doubt that's the best fight that never happened. I'll let this question continue. -
WWE General Discussion - February 2008
King Kamala replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
I've heard the new Wembley Stadium mentioned a few times and as cool as that would be, I doubt they'll do a WrestleMania outside of North America anytime in the near future. -
I hope with Kip and Dr. Pat working that The Hutch gets back on TV.

Am I the only who thinks DiBiase's stint as a manager in the WWF was kind of lame? I'm a huge DiBiase mark but I don't remember him doing anything remotely cool (with the exception of buying off Santa and Jack Tunney) and The Million Dollar Corporation is probably one of my least favorite stables of all time. And his WCW run was even more forgettable. Edit: Right after I posted this- I just thought of DiBiase's humiliation of Nikolai Volkoff. That was almost as good as anything he did in his hey day. Man, I loved that mini-angle.

I can only find Slush Puppy machines in hick gas stations in the middle of nowhere. The corner store up the street from my house had one for years from about the time I moved there when I was 3 until I was in 5th or 6th grade. Then they replaced it with an as crappy if not worse "fruit smoothie" machine (I think they called it smoothies but it was more of a precursor of Dunkin' Donuts Fruit Coolatas). The smoothie machine didn't last too long. What's the weirdest food (or drink) item you've found in a gas station or convenience store?

Eh, I think the industry was starting to hit the skids in '92, shortly after SummerSlam. Though having two monster heel champions in '93 certainly didn't help things (Though I did like both Vader and Yoko's runs with the belt).

IIRC, the two different versions story is an urban legend. Then again, I read that on Snopes and they aren't always 100% accurate.

That's So Raven is worse than The Suite Life but both are pretty god damn shitty, even by their low standards. I think That's So Raven has a spinoff now with the annoying kid brother which is disheartening.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

This guy may be the most well-spoken poster I've come across in my five years on this board. -
I watch them once in a blue moon as well and while they aren't great, they certainly aren't any worse than the children's sitcoms we loved back in the day. And I'll take Drake and Josh over Two and a Half Men any day of the week.

Cumberland Farms has 79 cents for any sized sodas and every Cumberland Farms I've come across, even the ones in the sticks are 24/7. They don't have a super large cup but you don't really need that in the first place. Other than that, fuck a bunch of Cumberland Farms. The one near me has possibly the rudest clerk I've ever met. I know working as the overnight clerk at a 24/7 Cumberland Farms in the middle of nowhere is a shitty job but that dude is really unpleasant. And he always checks out your stuff superslowly whilst telling you much of an asshole the customer before you was. I tend to avoid that Cumberland Farms like the plague, at least after 9 PM.

I've never had it but a local pizza place offers hot dog pizza. Don't know why anybody would want to get it but it's there. I love hot dogs but the thought of hot dog gravy, hot dog omlettes, hot dog pizza and any hot dog related food that isn't actually hot dogs just sounds flat out unappealing.

I felt bad after posting this. I'm putting a moratorium on posting JN News quotes in this thread for a while. The guy's a dork but he means well and seems like a nice guy. Besides, we've got ooddles and oodles of shitty non-JN News posts around here. -
Looking at Cawthon's site, it says his first appearence as Stone Cold was on March 11th, 1996 on RAW against Savio Vega but I don't think he really started using the gimmick we all know and love until King of The Ring that year. I was watching casually at the time but I don't recall there being buildup with Austin changing from The Ringmaster to Stone Cold.
