I heard the 30 second sample of Prince's new single on ITunes. Sounds like that damn Camille pseudonymn.

Fuck, I watched this last night and the part where Michaelangelo tries to do the anti-drug talk cracked me up. I was laughing for ten minutes straight. And where the fuck were the rest of the Ninja Turtles anyway? Did they run out of money to hire the voice actors who did Raphael, Leonardo, and Donatello? It seemed odd just to have Michaelangelo there. And I found out via IMDB that George C. Scott plays the Smoke. Quite a fall from Patton.

Didn't stop Epic Movie from being #1 its opening weekend.

My favorite band when I was 8. Ya! Oddly enough I discovered them via The Mighty Ducks when they sing "We Are The Champions" at the end and my dad said "Hey they're singing Queen." Still like them to this day, I saw the Mercury-less Queen last year with Paul Rodgers. It was actually pretty damn good but Paul Rodgers sounded way out of place on their 80s synth driven stuff. I agree with Milky. Mercury's definitely an icon but not a genius. He's influential but how many good Queen ripoffs have there been? I don't know how to really explain it but I think a band's genius lies in how good its ripoffs are

OMG Terminator 4 is definetly going ahead

OK, I admit the Charlie's Angels movies blew ass but was the original TV series good enough to get up in arms about how shitty the remake was? Has anybody seen the TV series lately? It's not that good at all. That's why I didn't get worked about the movies. I'm willing to give McG a slight benefit of the doubt. If only because Bale is in it and Bale hasn't fucked up that much in his film career. -
Heh, there was a running joke on The Onion A.V. Club about Frank Darabont's original screenplay for Mary Shelley's Frankenstein being way better than the final product. That's all I have to add to this thread.

Yep exactly. I think R&B "sensation" Chris Brown has a supporting role in it. I really wonder why The Mist was such a bomb. It got decent reviews. Maybe it had a bad release date? It doesn't seem like anybody rushes out to see horror movies on holiday weekends. That's probably it.

Alright here's my (mostly likely unsuccessful) attempt to get this thread back on track somewhat. The only good thing ever to come out of the Old Country Buffet is my favorite memory of my grandmother. She used to take us there for dinner all the time whenever we were little and the parents were out of time. Anyway, one time the OCBee, the company mascot (I didn't even know they had one) was there and he kept pestering for literally about five minutes. Granted, it was 4 P.M. on a weekday night so the restaurant was empty but still the guy should have known when to quit. Well eventually my grandmother told him to "buzz off" and The OCBee got mad and after a few more seconds of pestering us he left. That was about the funniest thing ever to a seven year old.

You could play off their short lived tag team and do a Master Vs Mentor storyline. That's the only potential Hogan match I'd be mildly tempted to see. You know Edge would bust his ass off in that match since he's such a huge mark for The Hulkster. The Rock isn't coming back. Dude's like 190 pounds now. And his movie career hasn't faltered one bit which I expected it would after a while (Damn Hulk Hogan and every other wrestler turned actor for lowering my expectations for wrestler turned actor careers)

I'm sorry but Hogan Vs Volkoff main eventing WrestleMania III and selling out The Silverdome is just a downright absurd thought. Volkoff was firmly entrenched in the midcard by '87. The guy lost in two minutes to Corporal fucking Kirchner at WM II, they'd have to do a lot of work to build him up to be Hogan's challenger at WrestleMania. Edit: Whoops, never mind. Misread.

Remember Hogan Vs Kidman in WCW? I bet it'd be the exact same thing minus Hogan wearing the mildly amusing F.U.N.B jacket

Correct but Panera Bread seems to be the one chain a lot of the lib hipsters I know make an exception for.

I actually like that show (so sue me) but I couldn't imagine wanting to own a season set. It's one of those shows where a little bit of it goes a long way. I couldn't watch more than two episodes in one sitting let alone drop $40 on a set.

Quittin Time. Because what it's called when you're done doing all that hard work. Yes I remember what it was called but, I forget what the move was. Correct. I'm not 100% sure on what exactly the finisher was a direct ripoff the Undertaker's clothesline from the ropes.

The best description of King of Kong came from Richard Roeper who described it as being the closest thing to a real life Christopher Guest movies. I think he hit the nail on the head with that one. If you like Christopher Guest movies, you'll love King of Kong. I haven't seen Zoo but my brother has it right now from NetFlix. Maybe I should watch it while I'm down here. The Joe Strummer doc opens here in a couple weeks. So my Top 5 Favorites of 2007 heading into December 5. Superbad 4. No Country For Old Men 3. King of Kong 2. Zodiac 1. Hot Fuzz

Saw King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters tonight at the local arthouse theater. Holy shit what a great movie. Easily the best doc I've seen this year and in The Top 10 overall best movies I've seen this year. Hilarious and oddly heartwarming. All y'all should check it out when it comes to DVD.

Paul Orndorff was the contingency plan if Andre was too injured. IIRC, that's why the had the draw in the cage match at SNME a couple months prior. I think Hulkamania had already taken off, the Andre match only cemented it.

What if Flair jumped ship in '98 and went back to the WWF like it was rumored?
-
Yeah he was part of Teddy Long's short lived stable of babyface jobbers that also included Jim Powers (I wonder how many people besides me remember his short stint there), Sgt. Craig Pittman and IIRC, Horshu. Alright ten points to whoever can name "Hard Work" Bobby Walker's finisher?
-
I liked it well enough but not as much as some other people. Even though it was two and a half hours plus- parts of it seemed somewhat rushed and parts of it seemed extraneous. Nevertheless, the last half hour or so was excellent and Washington and Crowe both gave good performances (Don't know about Oscar worthy for either). I think it was a good movie but I'm not sure if it's Oscar worth.

I got an article about a 14 year old with my name who almost died from a deadly form of bacterial meningitis and a story about a high school football player with my name from New Jersey.

I don't know Bale doesn't tend to pick shitty projects (Or hasn't since Reign of Fire *shudders*) but McG...yech. I'm having a hard time figuring out why AICN is licking his knob. -
Wow, I'm surprised the animal activists haven't cracked down on that. It seems like fodder for them.

I forgot he was British. Uh...so he wouldn't ruin it for us American posters who make up most of this board?

Is it just me or is Greenville,SC a pretty odd place to go to for the next PPV? I mean IIRC it was somewhat of a WCW stronghold (and earlier on a JCP stronghold) but I could think of several places off the top of my head that probably deserve it more but what do I know? Maybe our old friend Mike From SC will be there heh
