Just because I spent the last 4 hours at a bar discussing it...

I would have loved to have seen The Who/The Clash tour that year. I know The Who was without Keith Moon but I think The Who have been at the very least a good live band in any of their incarnations.

    The Brothers Solomon

Looks like it could be funny (Love Forte's reaction to Wiig's cold plastic cup line) or it could be another Let's Go To Prison . I'll see what the early reaction it is to and then decide whether or not I want to see it in theaters. I'll see it on DVD regardless of the reaction.

Semi off topic- but wasn't a then unknown Tila Tequilla on Surviving Nugent?

    Box office report 8/24-8/26

Excellent to see Superbad at #1 for the second week in a row. Movie deserves it. Kind of surprised to see Mr. Bean's Holiday at #4. I remember seeing trailers for it about three or four months ago and then completely forgot about it until two days ago when I saw what movies were opening. I thought it would be in the lower half of The Top 10. Good for Rowan Atkinson I guess... I thought The Nanny Diaries would do a bit better too for some reason. I guess the chick flick audience doesn't flock out to the theaters this time of year.

I concur. I'm surprised so many people thought they were gonna turn gay in that scene.

    WWE 24/7 Discussion Thread - August 2007

Hey! I have Global Warfare. Bought it for $5 from a Mom and Pop video store when they were starting to get rid of some of their VHS about seven or so years ago (Wrestling videos were obviously some of the first to go). Far from the worst Coliseum tape I've seen but really just kind of there. There's a decent Bret Hart- Bam Bam Bigelow match but that's all I remember outside of some funny commentary by JR, Macho Man, and Heenan. Here are the results from Cawthon's site; Global Warfare (8/12/93) - Crush defeated WWF IC Champion Shawn Michaels via count-out at 8:51 when Michaels left the ring; after the bout, Crush brought Michaels back to the ring, hit a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, and applied the head vice (4/11/93; Sheffield, England) - Yokozuna (w/ Mr. Fuji) pinned Jim Duggan with a splash in the corner and the Bonzai Drop at 7:31 after Duggan became distracted by Fuji on the floor (4/8/93; Paris, France) - Rick & Scott Steiner defeated WWF Tag Team Champions Ted Dibiase & IRS via disqualification at around 10:20 when IRS hit Scott with one of the title belts as Scott had Dibiase covered after hitting the Frankensteiner; prior to the bout, the referee threatened to strip the champions of their title if they refused to give up IRS' steel briefcase and allow it to be taken backstage (4/24/93; Barcelona, Spain) - Mr. Perfect pinned Samu (w/ Afa) with the Perfect Plex at 13:34 after Samu missed a headbutt off the top (4/11/93; Sheffield, England) - Bret Hart pinned Bam Bam Bigelow with a victory roll at 11:56 after kicking Bigelow in the face as he charged the corner (4/24/93; Barcelona, Spain) - Crush defeated Doink the Clown (Steve Keirn) via count-out at 8:10 when Doink left ringside after sustaining the head vice on the ring apron (4/8/93; Paris, France) - Scott Steiner pinned WWF Tag Team Champion IRS at 10:03 by reversing a fireman's carry into a roll up (4/25/93; Milan, Italy) - The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) defeated Yokozuna (w/ Mr. Fuji) via disqualification at 5:43 when Yoko hit Taker in the head with the salt bucket; after the bout, the Undertaker avoided sustaining the Bonzai Drop and hit the chokeslam on Yoko (4/25/93; Milan, Italy)

They might just be releasing it in the U.K. for now.

If I were to put "Kristianna" on ignore

I've had several Hogan related dreams; most notably one where Hulk Hogan saved me from an attack from the Road Warriors outside of the armory where I used to go indy shows in his Hulkmobile. If anything this thread is getting me annoyed with CMM as I don't really have a problem with Kristiana. Hell, I completely forgot about her until I saw this thread.

    What did you eat today?

Breakfast: Onion Bagel with Lox Spread (Hmm lox) and a chocolate milk Lunch: Some broiled Nathan's all beef hot dogs with mustard on them (Pretty much the only condiment I had in the fridge) and a glass of Coke) Dinner: #2 meal at Wendy's with Fries and an Orange Hi-C

Trees Lounge: One of those movies that is very well acted but is generally kind of dull. I enjoyed it somewhat though and Buscemi was great as always. Next I'm getting Animal Factory with Willem Dafoe, Edward Furlong, Mickey Rourke, and Tom Arnold (as a violent rapist!) . I'm on a Steve Buscemi directed film kick.

    Siskel & Ebert

Silence of The Lambs and Blue Velvet they have pretty good debates. Predator is another good one. Ends with Siskel yelling at Ebert "Your standards are dropping!" And I agree with those who say they have questionable taste in mindless action flicks. I find them generally spot on with most of other kinds of movie reviews or at least can see where they're coming from but with action movies, it's different for some reason.

    The What If Topic...

If anything, it would help RAW cause it could play up "The Too Hot for USA" angle. Don't know which network they'd go to. Wasn't their talk of them going to FX at one point? Don't think that many people FX back then though.

    SummerSlam's UnderCard...

Not surprising that it was a good match, but Tito Santana and The Rockers Vs Rick Martel and The Rougeaus from SummerSlam '89 is kind of an unheralded great match.

    Siskel & Ebert

I love the reviews for Leonard Part 6 and the failed Tony Danza vehicle She's Outta Control. They're both so pissed off they had to see those movies. Those are my favorite reviews (I've got both of Ebert's books that compile his worst reviews)

    The What If Topic...

    1. Really depends on which guy wins. 2. Probably in a managerial/non-wrestling role. Probably as an advisor for the Corporation. Maybe he rejoins DX when they reunite later in the year. 3. He probably keeps the IC title for most of the rest of '95 and then loses it in a screwy fashion or maybe the Iron Man match becomes "Title Vs Title" ala WrestleMania VI and they have a IC title tournament after HBK vacates it. 4. Demolition and LOD's feud lasts a bit longer probably but I think Demolition's time was running short once the WWF signed L.O.D. I mean who cares about the imitators when they have the real thing? After they lose to L.O.D., they probably get jobbed out as they did in real life and Ax probably gets repackaged in another gimmick like Smash and Crush or gets released.

    oAo Movie Rentals Thread

I've got NetFlix. Last night I watched The Last Shot with Alec Baldwin and Matthew Broderick. Aside from a painfully unfunny first 15 minutes (I almost turned the movie off), it was pretty good. I don't even remember this one being in theaters but I thought it had its moments. I'm just a sucker for movies about the making of a movie. I just got Trees Lounge today, it's written by , directed by and starring Steve Buscemi. It also has Samuel L. Jackson, Daniel Baldwin and Chloe Sevigny (sp?). Buscemi's one of my favorite actors and I've been curious to see his directorial efforts so I put this one on the queue.

    Really crazy, screwed up musicians.

Hey, when did Albert Goldman join the board? Seriously though a lot of people in this thread are confusing legitmately crazy with drug addicted shitheads. There's a difference, might not be overly apparent but it's there. Has DMX been mentioned? He's done a lot of crazy shit and according to wikipedia (a very reliable source I know) , he has bipolar disorder!

What do you completely and utterly suck at?

I'm (was, haven't spoken it in two years) terrible at French. Just terrible. Didn't help that my high school's third language was English (Her 2nd was French and 1st was Russian) and therefore could never understand what the hell she was saying.

    SuperBad

She didn't play a high schooler. She played the girlfriend of the drug dealer and at the party with older people that Seth and Evan went to.
  22. It seems like I've seen trailers for that and Fanboys for like two years. Probably because they were supposed to come out two years ago.

    SuperBad

I could have swore he discreetly came out of the closet to Ken in the episode where Ken liked the girl who was born a hermaphrodite and he came to him for advice. Maybe it was someone else. It's something they brought up in one episode and never mentioned again. I haven't seen the show since it came out on DVD a couple years back so my memory may be a bit vague.

Oh yeah, that was Martin Starr. For some reason, I thought it was the guy who played Billy Walsh on Entourage. The strange thing is my friend thought the guy who played Billy Walsh was in Knocked Up but it was Martin Starr. One of the teachers from Freaks and Geeks (the gay math teacher) was the math teacher in the beginning.
