Just because I spent the last 4 hours at a bar discussing it...

I was listening to various concerts on Wolfgang's Vaults earlier this afternoon and I came across a Bee Gees concert from 1976 and as gay as it may sound, I'm going to have to add The Bee Gees circa 76/77ish to my list. They sounded great live and had a top notch backing band with a horn section and everything. I'm a guy who loves almost anything with a horn section. Another one that I forgot earlier that would be awesome; Elton John in 70/71 on one of his first tours when it was just him backed by a bassist and drummer. There's an awesome live album that's from that time period ( I think it's called 11-17-70

    Really crazy, screwed up musicians.

He did jam with Paul McCartney. There's a bootleg of it and I can't remember the name of it for the life of me. Henry Nillson and Stevie Wonder are jamming with them too on the bootleg. I haven't heard it but I hear that it's terrible.

    Box Office report

As sad as it may sound, I don't think any of Nichole Kidman's movies have done $67 million on opening weekend like Rush Hour 2 did. I don't think he deserves $15-20 million a movie but neither does Nichole Kidman. In fact, I could probably list on one hand people who I think deserve that much per movie.

    Box Office report

I couldn't imagine walking out of a theater. I spent $7 and I'm not throwing it down the drain by walking out, god dammit! The only times I've come close to walking out on a movie were Final Fantasy and Joe Somebody (a forgettable Tim Allen movie from five or six years back where literally almost nothing happened for the entire movie.)

    Box Office report

I don't get it. I can't think of many huge box office hits Nichole Kidman starred in, she's had some hits here and there but I don't think anything to warrant her getting paid $15 million a movie.

Definitely didn't expect Superbad to earn that much. A couple weeks ago I didn't even expect it to open at #1. Guess I ate my words. It earned every penny though. How big of a bomb is The Invasion?

    Really crazy, screwed up musicians.

Crazy is really subjective. Most people would probably consider Fleetwood Mac crazy but I think they were just a bunch of dysfunctional cokeheads. Pretty much like any 70s rock band. The only member of Fleetwood Mac I would consider legit crazy is original frontman, Peter Green, who actually spent a few years in a mental hospital in the late 70s after threatening his accountant with a rifle. I'd be remiss if we didn't mention 80s new waver, Adam Ant. About five or six years ago, he threatened a bunch of people in a pub with a fake gun.

    SuperBad

I think all Apatow related movies have been 15 minutes too long from being surefire comedy classics. Most of them are great but they're all 15-20 minutes too long.

    Really crazy, screwed up musicians.

He hardly seems crazy just a big league cokehead. He apparently spent something like $7 million on coke in the twenty or so years he was using it.

Worst indy show you've been to

I know we did one of these a couple years back but I thought it'd be fun I'll never forget when the indy fed that used to run up the street (literally) at the local armory brought in former WCW jobber, Rick Fuller and made him into their huge monster heel. It just kind of made the fed look bush league when one of Goldberg's former whipping boy was towering over everyone (I'm 6'1'' and I was taller than about 75% of the roster) and absolutely obliterating everyone. I'm sure people have seen a lot worse indy shows than I have. So feel free to share your stories here.

    SuperBad

I agree with the sentiment that while Knocked Up and The 40 Year Old Virgin[ were better movies, this had more laugh out loud moments. Funniest movie of the summer by far My favorite part was That just killed me for some reason

    Really crazy, screwed up musicians.

I downloaded some of Manson's songs. I wouldn't call them good per se but it wasn't bad late 60s/early 70s folk stuff. Definitely better than the reviews I've read of it have indicated. How about Chuck Berry? I'd say he's pretty nuts.

    Really crazy, screwed up musicians.

Question Mark of 60s one hit wonders, ? and The Mysterians ("96 Tears"). He had his name changed to Question Mark and claims that he's a Martian that walked with the dinosaurs and that voices have told him he'd still be performing "96 Tears" in the year 10,000. Although I'm not sure if he's really crazy or just an eccentric coot.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Houston_%28rapper%29 Houston. One hit wonder R&B singer from a couple years back. Tried to committ suicide on tour in London while high on PCP. His entourage managed to restrain him and lock him in a room on the first floor, where he proceeded to gouge his left eye out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Gordon_%28musician%29 Jim Gordon- Former renowned session drummer and member of Derek and The Dominoes. Quit playing in the early 80s after being diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic and having a bad cocaine habit. Killed his mother in 1983 by bludgeoning her with a hammer.

    WWE 24/7 Discussion Thread - August 2007

Do you honestly think people remember O.J. Simpson as a great football player? It's the same idea with Benoit. Discussion over. That being said, I don't neccessarily agree with them editing him out of WWE history. I understand it but I don't agree with it.

    WWE 24/7 Discussion Thread - August 2007

You're a mod, you should know better than to call Benoit a murderer. We will know him for his wrestling skills, unless WWE uses their memory wiper over all Benoit matches and fans. Uh....but he did murder his wife and kid. Hell of a wrestler but also a murderer.

I'll say U2- 1984 (Unforgettable Fire tour) Springsteen-1978(Darkness on The Edge of Town) Bob Dylan-1975 (Rolling Thunder Revue)

    Buffets

I concur. Breakfast and Chinese food buffets are generally decent. Some are better than others and some are not good at all but generally you get a decent deal. However, regular buffets like Old Country Buffet have had no appeal to me whatsoever since I turned 12. Horrible horrible places.

So apparently, Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello are co-headlining a tour this fall.

    The Youtube Thread

Bob Backlund Vs WWE Hall of Famer "The Unpredictable" Johnny Rodz from ICW circa 1985 Just a bizarre angle where Bob Backlund carries around a homemade cardboard belt given to him by some kids and calls himself "The People's Champion". The announcer even introduces him as that.

Marc Mero, add another one to your list

Yeah, he was 68 and died of colon cancer. Not quite dying before his time. Still sad though. I only saw some of his later work on the Ultimate Pro Wrestling show from five or six years back that used to air old USWA Dallas and IWCCW matches. Didn't he have a brief stint in the WWF in 85/86ish where he was managed by Heenan?
