God bless JR and Gorilla Monsoon for selling Phantasio's cheesy magic tricks "LOOK AT THAT! WHAT THE!?"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTNAh7Huy5Y Ivan Koloff Vs Bob Backlund from Herb Abrams UWF circa June '91 And since I'm on a Backlund kick for some reason http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJuzRyuV8T8 A six man tag that teams Bob Backlund, Jimmy Snuka and Mil Mascaras against Hector Garza and The Eliminators. This is from WAR circa 1995. And lastly, Sid's first match in ECW against John Kronus. Funny for the ECW fans surprisingly huge pop for Sid and Sid just repeatedly yelling "I'M THE MAN!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQK_VzkTvhU

If we're going to suggest any Rockapella song in here. We're going to have to suggest "Zombie Jamboree", it's the best acapella song I've heard about zombies invading New York City. Yes, I can name two Rockapella songs.

Last I heard, the deep voiced smooth guy had to quit the band and they're now a trio. This was like three years ago.

Back in '01 and '02, I used to wake up at 7 A.M. on SATURDAY to watch Jakked. To this day, I don't know why I did that. Here's a big pile of crap, El Gigante Vs The One Man Gang from the worst pay per view of all time, Great American Bash '91 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ_fEnUKdoQ

Best video I watched all day. It's a satellite feed of a very jobberific battle royal (With The Rock being the notable exception) that was aired on Shotgun in September 98. Since they overdub most of the commentary in later, it's just Michael Cole and Jim Cornette shooting the breeze and cracking jokes the whole time. There are so many guys in there that I thought had been gone for months by that time (DOA, Los Boricuas, the guys from Kaientai that weren't Funaki and Taka). It's easily the least suspenseful battle royal I've ever watched. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UktFsrgSIzg...ted&search= Part One http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuQ0wd6-Pfc...ted&search= Part Two http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ng08IaoLQf4...ted&search= Part Three I loved Cornette's overreactions to the "action" (THAT'S BULLSHIT! Togo was just thrown out by Funaki!) and Cole's random reference to Chris "Conan" Walker

I had no idea he was in WCW. Really doesn't look much different. IIRC, he only wrestled at one TV taping as a generic job guy. The same YouTube user that put up the Meng match also has a video of him getting squashed by The Taskmaster on there. And now the god-awful intro to Superstars circa 1996. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUMvGzNDfhc

Acapella music is my #1 guilty pleasure. I love Rockapella and shit like that. I occassionally listen to this college radio station show that is three hours of acapella songs. You'd be surprised at what songs get the acapella treatment. I've heard a version of Dexter Freebish's "Leaving Town" a couple times, whose idea was it to do an acapella version of that?

I saw B.B. King last night for the first time and he was pretty good. Did a LOT of rambling but that's kind of understandable since he is an 81 year old man but when he did play, he was damn good. Only annoying part was the middle aged woman behind me who was friends with the opener ( a really meh blues band comprised of middle aged white guys) and kept complaining about how various old pop stars refused to give her autographs.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GgyP1zffVg Meng squashes a young kid named Damon Striker (Who later became a WWE World Champ) on an episode of WCW Pro from 2-3-96.

Wow, surpised Scotty was released. Though it should have happened years ago. Since Scotty's from about 15 minutes away from me, I can bet he'll main-event every indie show within a hour of my house for the next five years against Palmer Cannon (Another former WWE guy from the area). Lucky me.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I finally found the rare Bret Hart Vs Andre The Giant match from April 1989. It's pretty much a squash and it has piss poor audio and video quality. Well enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NKsr3PEfxM

$5 says the only guy to return from the original is Busey. Busey will do anything! Didn't he do an action movie with Master P and F grade action star (Mark Dacascos or Jeff Speakman)? I bet he'd be up for it.

Breakfast: A Sausage Biscuit, Hash Browns and Small Coke at The BK Lounge and a P,B & J sandwich. Lunch: Chicken Tenders, Fries and a Cherry Coke Snack: Sierra Mist and Utz baked cheddar and sour cream chips Dinner: Don't know yet probably left overs Evening snack will most definitely be some sort of ice cream. All I've eaten today is junk.

I think I'm the only one who's ever watched the show but I'm glad Talkshow with Spike Ferestein didn't get canceled. I like to watch it whenever SNL is in reruns.

5 Greatest Intercontinental Title Matches
King Kamala replied to humanoid92's topic in General Wrestling
My five favorite 5. Chris Jericho Vs Kurt Angle Vs Chris Benoit, WrestleMania 2000 4. Bret Hart Vs Roddy Piper, WrestleMania VIII 3. HBK Vs Jeff Jarrett, In Your House II 2. Randy Savage Vs Ricky Steamboat, WrestleMania III 1. Mr. Perfect Vs Bret Hart, SummerSlam '91 (I know it's probably not the best but SummerSlam '91 is one of the first PPVs I remember seeing and this'll always be one of my favorites) -
I saw a British documentary similar to Kids Nation called IIRC, "Boys Alone" that had ten boys living in a house alone. I remember it being somewhat disturbing and I don't think middle America will like the show if it's anything like that documentary.
-
Is that Kid Nation show real!? I mean I know it probably is but damn, it sounds so...bizarre.

Glad to see Hot Fuzz is still in the Top 10. I'm going to see it on Tuesday ($5 all showings baby!)
-
I have the finale on DVR and haven't watched it yet but overall my thoughts on this season are it's highs were higher than Season One's and it's lows were lower than Season One's if that makes any sense.

Across 110th Street: Great semi-obscure blaxploitaion movie I saw two nights ago. A bunch of Harlem homeboys rob The Mafia and steal $300,000 and in the process of doing so kill four mafiaso and two policeman. Yaphatt Kotto and Anthony Quinn play the two cops who are investigating. Kotto is the young idealistic, by the books cop and Quinn is the old, crusty, abusive crooked cop. A great commanding performance by Kotto and there's a fun supporting role for Huggy Bear as one of the guys who robs the mafia. Only problem with the movie is its ending is tacky as hell. Great soundtrack by Bobby Womack too (all those old blaxploitation movies had great soundtracks)

Has there ever been a good title reign that came after a person won a singles title in a tag bout?

At the sports bar I was at last night, they were playing a lot of REM. Now I got no beef against REM but that's about the worst music you can play at a sports bar. It wasn't even their upbeat stuff, it was like "Everybody Hurts"

So far, light eating again Breakfast: Ham and Cheese sandwich with horseradish and honey mustard and two glasses of water. Lunch: Giant Slim Jim and Bottle of A&W Root Beer Snacks: Some really great Worcester (I can't spell) sauce chips, a couple of pretzel rods, a cookies and cream Ice Cream bar. A cup of Sunkist Orange Soda Dinner: Leftover split pea soup, grilled ham and cheese sandwich and a cup of Coke.
