Come on that guy can't even pass for being a teenager by 90210 standards! As a proud owner of the Teen Wolf/Teen Wolf Too 2 movies on one DVD, this is making me very upset.

No, even my mom knows them.

He kind of looks like a hybrid of Dave Thomas (of SCTV fame) and Greg Valentine with a bit of Jeff Daniels thrown in.

This was funny but my favorite is the one where Michael Jordan played the first black Harlem Globetrotter

NBC is remaking the Bionic Woman. Now why are they remaking spinoffs now for God's sakes? Maybe they wanted to remake The Six Million Dollar Man but realized that no mortal being could match the awesomeness of Lee Majors.

It used to be used as the music for the local Fox affliate's commercials (This is Fox 51 with KC and The Fox) I miss KC and The Fox...they used to host the block of cartoons that were on after school way back when I was in Kindergarten (sp?) and 1st Grade. Judging by the low budget production I assume they were just local guys. Those were the days.

Was I the only one who really liked The Motivational Dance sketch? Then again, I just love any sketch starring Will Forte (Probably my favorite cast member of the post Ferrell era) .
-
I liked The Peyton Manning episode. Maybe it's because I had horrendously low expectations for the show, but I enjoyed. I'd say it's borderline Top 5 for the season (It's definitely behind Timberlake, Baldwin and The Hugh Laurie episode. Probably on par with The Rainn Wilson show) Julia Louis Dreyfuss was almost the opposite- I was expecting a decent episode and got a Bottom 5 episode. The only things I liked was The Chris Rock cold open and The Italian talk show sketch.

Yeah if Hogan had owned up to it and said "Sorry brother, nothing against you but it's The Rumble and it's every man for himself brother" that would have been OK. But The WWF had to make Hogan too righteous to fess up to eliminating his buddy in a match that lives by its "Every Man For Himself" motto.

When We Were Marks: An Unreasonable Accomodation
King Kamala replied to Llakor's topic in General Wrestling
Man, Maine only has one and it sucks. Though they did bring in Steve Corino last month. You may think "Well Maine's so small its to be expected" but back in 2003, we had three or four indy feds that were running at least semi regularly. Damn you The Maine Athletic Commission! Damn you to hell! -
Mike Quackenbush to debut for ROH
King Kamala replied to King Cucaracha's topic in General Wrestling
My brother got me a Mike Quackenbush autograph after he went to an indy show back in '02 where Quackenbush wrestled Reckless Youth in one of the featured bouts. I really didn't know how to react since I had never actually seen him wrestle. "Uh...thanks!" -
Not a fan really of either band but would be interested to go to that show due to their live reputations. Too bad, Manson is banned in Portland...

Yeah, I've always liked the vanilla midgets and guys like Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, etc. It's not that I didn't like guys like Hogan, The Warrior, Nash and stuff but to me they seemed kind of like superheroes- almost like they were unreal. But I could relate more to a guy like Bret Hart- who was just an average guy who got by on grit and determination. My favorites as a kid though were Marty Jannetty and The 123 Kid. I've always marked for smaller wrestlers- in fact, I may have been the only people who didn't mind when Rey Mysterio Jr won The World title. Granted, his title reign completely sucked but I didn't have a problem with him winning it again. I'm straying off topic that happened 5-6 years after I gave up my mark card.

A Supertramp sample sung by the dude from Fall Out Boy no less! In other news, I love Fountains of Wayne's new single. As expected. Why do they have to play Boston the night after I'm going down there to see Guster? Don't they know I'm broke and vehicle-less? Oh well...they'll be back eventually.
-
Can we really count them? How do we know it's the same dudes(dudettes?) on all of the String Quartet Tributes! There's too many of them for it to just be handled by four people!

Could you imagine Hunter having a title reign like Sammartino's? Granted though with the advent of weekly television a yearlong title reign seems much longer than say, Superstar Graham's yearlong reign did, I'm sure. Yeah, I remember seeing a couple of old timers on the Kayfabe Memories or Wrestling Classics board refer to Graham as a transitional champion between Bruno and Bob Backlund. Now one month is too long of a time to be considered a transitional reign. Ah but I digress.

Which would be pretty sad considering how good Punch Drunk Love was. Though really he basically played a more serious and violent variation of the character he always plays.

Yesterday; Breakfast: Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich with water Lunch: Some random thing my dad cooked up in the frying pan with leftover potatoes, carrots, onions and some sliced ham and a Caffeine Free Diet Coke Dinner: An Amatos Salami Italian Sandwich with no green peppers and olives (Yeah...no one outside of Maine or Massachusetts maybe knows what I'm talkin' about) and a Dr. Pepper XL Dunkin' Donuts Hot Chocolate for a between meal beverage. Man, I don't know what it is but I love Dunkin' Donuts hot chocolate. Snack: Bowl of plain Utz ruffled potato chips, two Shaws chocolate chip cookies and lowfat milk. Today thus far; Breakfast: Chocolate glazed donut from awesome local donut place and water. Lunch: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream and water Snack: Ruffled potato chips and Red Vault. I got a Chicken Pot Pie in the oven.

The proposed Warriors remake, set in L.A. instead of New York has me a bit worried. Don't they remember Escape From LA ?

Damn, I thought Pride was out next week. Still even so, a slightly disappointing finish. I expected TMNT to be Top 3 but not #1. The Hills Have Eyes 2, Reign Over Me and Shooter all did less than I thought they would do.

That's a prime example of a crowd carrying a match (Along with Hollywood Hogan-Rock twelve years later at the same venue), the match itself is boring as all hell. Not bad but boring. I think the crowd makes that a ** match. Which would make it better than the main events of WM I through III, VIII and XIII. I'd nominate Sid-Undertaker for worst WrestleMania main event, whose idea was it to give those two twenty minutes?
-
Yeah but they don't really count since we're talking current bands. Unless you consider being on a hair metal package tour and VH1 Metal Mania Stripped compilation as being current

RE: The Diesel title reign. I don't think its failure rested on Diesel's shoulders. It resulted in a lack of quality opponents (Thanks to the WWF's thin roster) and as someone said early, The WWF's insistence to keep it going after it had clearly failed. Honestly, I think a heel champion in '95 would have been a better option, since there seemed to be more potential babyface options (Diesel, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, to a lesser extent; The Undertaker, Lex Luger and Davey Boy Smith). Problem was again the lack of credible main event heels.

I used to kind of like Buckcherry way back when they came out in 97/98ish. I still maintain that "Lit Up" is a good cock rock song. Everything they've done since their comeback a year or two ago has sucked and they haven't done anything good since "Lit Up" but "Lit Up" saves them from being one of the worst bands on the planet. In the vein of Hinder, Saliva and Nickelback, I'd like to put Crossfade in consideration. When you're considered a second tier band of an already crappy genre, that should at least put you in the running. Oh and how could I forget Hoobastank?
